Mark Levin Interviews a Stone-Cold Racist

Sickening. Tweeted by Breitbart, sent to me by several commenters.

This is the ugly face of the festering boil that is the mixed metaphor of American racism, folks.

Brace yourselves. This is "racism straight up."

Update: I'm told that Killgore Trout just scrawled racial slurs all over Steven Smith's car. Charles Johnson then promptly made an account for Steven Smith and just as promptly banned it.

Obama is going to resign before his term is up, and we're going to be stuck with President Biden and Vice President Hillary Clinton, who will be Cheneyesque in her prominence in the office and then run against Sarah Palin in 2012. You heard it hear first. She will bray "I told you so" about her experience, wisdom, blah blah vs. a "flashy newcomer" (Palin), and those asinine PUMA women will believe her. While ultimately true, there is an upside to making a foolish mistake and then learning from it. If the latter follows, all is not lost.

Given where we are and the players that be, it's in the nation's best interest to let those who were fooled (and many are coming to realize they were made the fool) learn their lesson and we, as in conservatives, not berate them too severely. Don't back them into a corner and then keep them there because pride could imprison them. Forever.

This is a teachable moment and, given this one man's example, he could reach the minds of those the conservative establishment never could.

That's my hope to all the change. This is where it could get interesting. If people actually realize what a debacle they just endorsed and really stopped to think about why they did it, then maybe they'll reassess their beliefs. Maybe they'll look inwards and start asking questions -- of themselves, of others.

True believers won't, of course; but there will remain some liberals and moderates who will end up reviewing events and come over to the dark side. Then Rove can step in after the priming with some Jedi mind-massaging. Zombie Reagan's Ghost will arise.

217 Cloud Brain, either you lie worse than Obama or you are just stupid. Reagan didn't fall below 50% until his 11th month in office.
From Gallup
PRINCETON, NJ -- Barack Obama's latest job approval rating is 51%, according to Aug. 23-25 Gallup Daily tracking. [AUTHOR'S NOTE: Obama's job approval rating has fallen to 50% since this story was originally published.] Should his rating continue its downward trend and fall below 50%, he would -- like most post-World War II presidents -- have less-than-majority approval at some point in his presidency. However, Obama, in his eighth month in office, could hit this mark in a shorter time than has typically been the case. If his rating falls below 50% before November, it would represent the third-fastest drop to below majority approval since World War II, behind the declines for Gerald Ford (in his third month as president) and Bill Clinton (in his fourth month).

How's the unemployment rate, Dishonest Cloud?

Posted by: laceyunderalls

In my state we just had some surprisingly good news.

Numbers released Friday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics
show Indiana's jobless rate fell from 10.6 percent in July (to 9.9%), putting it
among just four states with measurable rate decreases over the month.
More than 307,000 Indiana residents were looking for work in August,
down from 332,000 in July.

And the damndest thing is we're a swing state voting for a democrat for the first time in decades. How's them apples?

Thank you President Obama.

Posted by: honest cloud at September 19, 2009 09:19 PM (4dCEv)

270 This guy Smith said some righteous stuff and can help change some
Americans' thinking - but on this thread we get some good stuff, then
we get the absolute morons who say, "hey, he voted for Obama therefore
he is a --------" These are the folks who either don't listen to what
the man had to say, or are so stuck in the one cell in their little
brains its becomes some reptilian response - what a bunch of clown

Gordo, i listened to the whole interview and liked what he had to say, but, i've heard Smith say other things that were just ridiculous on ESPN and elsewhere. Yeah, i'm glad to hear what he had to say here, but i'll have to hear more than one interview to believe he's really changed his mind. And dude, you don't like Catholic school girls? 281 I was wondering when it would happen. When some major portion of the Obama coalition would turn on him. I thought it would be African Americans first. Labor can stand an incompetent president. Youth was always going to be disappointed. The media would always be in the tank.

But for African Americans, Obama represents them or at least they fear he does. I thought it would happen slowly. One by one, disillusioned black Americans would make it cool to be angry with Obama. But at some point I think it will avalanche.

As to what we should do with former Obama voters. They are the prodigal children. If they regret their choice, it isn't necessary to teach them a lesson, their conversion will be a lesson to future generations. And the notion that they were fooled is probably what we'll hear most often.

I think we'll start hearing Malcolm X's famous speech a lot soon.

302 See. So friggin' predictable true.
Well that settles it then. Didn't you had that card in your deck. That's what we get for bringing a knife to a gunfight, I guess.
It all makes so much sense. Because of the mess of Bush's $200 billion deficits, the Democrats had to make them almost $700 billion. And then President "I've never worked a single day in my entire coddled life" Obama just had to turn the volume on the deficit up to 11 and put us in a $2 trillion hole this year and a $10 trillion hole by the time he's done converting this evil racist nation into Zimbabwe.
All because of Booooosh.
Yeah, you know what bitch? That line's not selling any more. If you cretins were half as sharp as you constantly tell yourselves and each otherthat you are, you'd be able to, you know, adjust when a strategy is obviously, incontrovertibly, and miserablyfailing.
Wonder why you can't do that? With all the smarts you've got and everything. All those communications and gender studies degrees. All those gooooood intentions. And at every level your government is run with the skill and competence of a seventh-grade model UN. Why, I wonder?
I know -- let's flood the airwaves with Obama 24/7 despite the fact that the more people see of him, the more they hate his idiotic, reckless, anti-American policies! How do we make up for a negative popularity-to-exposure correlation? Volume. That's right -- more cowbell!
Never mind. You just keep right on shrieking Booooooosh like the good little pseudo-sentient squawkbox that you are. It's not your fault. You're more machine than man now.

The left clings to their phony moral high ground and because of their narcissm can't look beyond their own interests. My take is that most black people don't like these libs either, they just haven't seen another alternative which is why a guy like Smith may be important. The irony of this whole situation is that the libs are making it harder for a black person to succeed in politics. Why? Because most Americans are fair minded but don't take kindly to being labeled a racist. So, the next time around in the voting booth, maybe a good quality black candidate wont't get as many votes because the average person doesn't want to go throught this crap again. Once again, lib policies may hurt the people they purport to help (the reality is thought they only care about themselves - you could be purple).

You didn't "engage" us, retard. You got your ass kicked. Again. Especially awesome was the complete evisceration of your "Indiana's economy was saved by my Messiah's trillion dollar giveaway to state governments and union goons" post. I could hear your undeserved little ego imploding through the interwebs. It was heavenly.
Given this pattern -- you show up, fling poo, get factually annihilated, dodge/evade/ignoresaid annihilation, then run awaylike a little girl -- you do see, don't you, why we all assume that little halfwit nothings like you and PS are paid to post here, right? Because any other explanation involves the words "scary mental illness".
And this exit of yours? Good lord. As soon as someone creates a font that perfectly captures "pathetic capitulation", you should be required to use it here every time you show up to embarrass yourself. At least PS pretends to be banging some super-hot co-ed when he scurries off to fellate his wounds. You've got to go to another floor to watch some nebulously defined sporting event that you probably couldn't identify if pressed.
Didn't Axelrod buy laptops for you whores so you could annoy your betters while waiting in line at the welfare office?

As much as I opposed the Kenyan, I did not in my deepest nightmares think he would be this bad.

These jackasses want suddenly to say, "Whoa!" about what's happening? The time to think about that and reach a reasoned opinion on how things should be was before entering the voting booth on 4 November 2008 (a date which will live in infamy).

407 @423 Mr. Morningwood

It does make one wonder how the current generation would weather a
Great Depression and a World War. One of which we're probably in and
the other being made more likely by the day.

I would guess we/they would weather it a whole lot better than we/they are weathering this limbo. Today, we have the familiar routines of civilization and the attendant sense of security, but parts of it have been fetishized (P.C.) to the point of rotting-out the foundations, and the looters and destroyers are free to operate in broad daylight.

Depressions and world wars are horrible, but they bring perspective that we seem to have lost. Even that filthy commie, John Steinbeck, wrote almost as if he were an American during the '30s.

I do not wish for either war or depression, but in response to your musings, I say that such a grave situation, once generally acknowledged, would be enough to make us jettison the unnecessary baggage with which we've encumbered ourselves since the last time of hardship. It's this baggage that has been dragging us down.

It's pretty easy. Get the Ball Blue Book on canning. Buy good equipment, maintain it, and maintain cleanliness. Not sterility, but just clean stuff good. Frau Morgenholz put up about 90 quarts of green beans, a bunch of tomatoes, etc this year. We freeze a lot of stuff too. A good pressure canner that will do 5-6 quarts at a time will run 100-125 bucks. Don't balk. A cheaper one is 80 bucks and I wouldn't pawn it off on the scrap dealer. I doubt canning is worth it in monetary terms, but the quality is awesome, as is the self-satisfaction.

great.

Walleye. Best walley fishery in the world. Also a lot of yellow perch, that for my money are better than walleye. The monument is to the victory of Commodore Perry over the British Navy in the Battle of Lake Erie during the War of 1812.

425 I always wanted to learn how to can, but was afraid I would end up poisoning my entire family with botulism.

That's why we have pressure canners. High acid foods like tomatoes are no big deal, as botulinum can't live in that. But with stuff like green beans and squash you need to cook the shit out them to kill the bacteria. 212 degrees won't do it, so you put them under higher pressure, thereby raising the temperature without boiling the water. Botulism is the big one. Salmonella just makes you puke, but botulism will kill you. Proper procedures make it completely safe, though.

SAME LEVEL!?

431 There is a serious issue to consider in 2012
How do we help the middle-road overcome buyers remorse? Those are the voters we need to make a landslidewith whatever conservative candidate. Doing this is not the same as making a bigger tent, nor is it watering down conservative principles. Its simply a philosophical approach to overcome something that the Past tense media would try to use.
If you fail at that, they might be shamed into repeating the mistake.
My thoughts are you need a strong platform, and you need two charasmatic candidates, VP and Prez, who both connect with the people, or at least the voters.
This guy SAS seems to be charasmatic, with principles. His drawback, he has no political experience. I feel that he might best serve the conservative by either getting a talk/tv show, or by getting into some politics. He already has a blog

433 It's always fun to listen to liberals call others racist while vomiting out their hatred of whites.
Posted by: koopy at September 19, 2009 08:47 PM (N20uT)

Liberals really hate Jews (Jewish liberals included). I just read the Weekly Standard blog on Brzezinski in The Daily Beast saying that if Israel attempts an air strike at Iran's reactors, then the US should fire at them as they fly over Iraq. How crazy is that? Then the point was driven home that this is standard thinking among the left.

I thought, "No, that's just some weirdos trolling conservative sites," though I hear the most shockingly dumb, racist quotes from people I would otherwise believe are sane, except that they are leftists.

But when I looked at The Atlantic's Facebook page, I saw unchecked, full galloping runaway antisemitic ignorance. I also sometimes hear straight up racist shit and derogatory comments about women. Until Hillary ran for President, I actually believed the left cared about women, for example.

434 Stephen Smith is no dummy. He's probably realized that there's only so much money in sports talk, nothing compared to being a successful conservative talker (to say nothing of the money to be made from books).

Olbermann made the jump to politics, why not Smith? He's a hundred times more talented, and his politics are of the right sort.

In fact, the more I think of it, the more I think it's a blockbuster idea. Not just for Smith's pocketbook, but for conservative politics in general.

438 Smith used to write a daily column for the Philly Inquirer before he jumped to ESPN. Now, I don't recall that he frequently dropped political references into his sports columns (like just about every other sportswriter in this Dem town) but he did seem to enjoy egging on race-based arguments. usually, he would defend someone like Allen Iverson or Charles Barkley with the old "you wouldn't attack him if he was black" argument, and I think he was really hard on Rush over his McNabb comments. If he is a closet conservative and has seen the light with Obama, I welcome him, but I'd like to know when the scales fell from his eyes.

439 It seems that our side has a serious disadvantage because we embrace honest disagreement. The other side doesn't even tolerate it.
Going back to what you said a few days ago about minimal buy-in, maybe we can turn that disadvantage into a selling point: "They believe in 12 things. If you believe in all 12, then you should be with them. But if you only believe in 11, they won't have you. So come over here and we can havea discussion."
Then watch that 11 go down to 3 on its own.

445 Yes, the same level of care. Try any of the other OECD member countries. I believe there are 29 of them, not counting us.
Then move to one of them, vermin, and take your fellow defective freaks with you (covering San Fransisco and Seattle with Wal-Marts and mini-malls would make that real estate useful again). The rest of us -- the functioning -- recognize that the United States offers inarguably the highest quality health care and the greatest degree of access to it in the world.
You know it, too, or you and your brave, brave liberal buddies would be scooting out of here for a Eurotrash utopia. We know how big you guys are on the whole "sitting on your ass" thing, and the notion that you're going to get your hands dirty to devolving this country into one of the statist failures that you worship rather than just relocating to a ready-made one is just laughable on its face.
And if you ever do grow the balls to move to a pisshole like Great Britain, I'll sleep soundly knowing that you'll die a long and agonizing death while waiting for some gap-toothed bureaucrat to decide that it's OK for you to finally get your prostate cancer treated. After you're already dead, of course.
Anyone that answers the question "If you found out that you had heart disease or cancer, where would you look for your health care?" with anything answer than "the U.S.A" deserves to suffer and expire. If Darwin isn't going to do his job, then the NHS will have to.

Sorry for the insult of suggesting you are ignorant.
I asked you a simple question of cost comparison, which you initiated with a mathematically improbably statement- you responded with the above.

Mexico Canada?
Not only did you not clarify the money math issue - I think you shot down your own argument.

These are cheap places to travel to for medical care, we know that because Canadians come to the US to pay for care they cannot get in their own country, Mexicans stream over the border, by-passing immigration customs, for among other things, free medical care.

Honest cloud is an excellent moniker for this belcher of talking points. He believes fully in the nonsense he precipitates, and his thought processes are a thin haze of water and filth. He sounds impressive but is eminently permeable.
Anyone who uses the word "ignorant" or its cognates as many times as he does cannot be particularly well instructed. It is an axiom that "ignorant" is most used by people who embody it.

I'm new here and hate to start off by correcting a regular, but: are you sure you're Catholic? Ever go to a Catholic church festival? Everyone drinks like fish. We even had a song about it at my school: "Run, run, run, I think I hear a nun/Grab that liquor and run/If Sister should appear, say "Sister have a beer, in the cellars of old SMA."
I went to a teaparty in Milwaukee yesterday, along with thousands of other racist, creationist, gun-toting hillbillies, including some with very deep tans. White supremacist Michelle Malkin was the main speaker and she got everyone so worked up, we then proceeded to beat up minorities and shoot off rifles - what fun! Well, actually, we clapped and cheered and then we went home, leaving the lakefront cleaner than we found it, like good Scouts.
I'm new to this site. I discovered it when I followed a link and read the amazing beat-down of Charles "There's a creationist under my bed" Johnson.
