| Congressman To Obama "You Lie" Bumped And Updated: Wilson ApologizesObama was going through his "illegals won't be covered by my plan" shtick when Congressman Joe Wilson of South Carolina took exception. Some of people’s concerns have grown out of bogus claims spread by those whose only agenda is to kill reform at any cost. The best example is the claim, made not just by radio and cable talk show hosts, but prominent politicians, that we plan to set up panels of bureaucrats with the power to kill off senior citizens. Such a charge would be laughable if it weren’t so cynical and irresponsible. It is a lie, plain and simple. So Obama calls Palin a liar (not by name but everyone knows who he's talking about) but we are supposed to get our panties in a bunch because Wilson yelled it out? At least Wilson had the guts to do it to in the same room. UPDATE: Wilson issues apology. "This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the President’s remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the President’s statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility."We on the other hand.... ![]() CommentsPosted by: shibumi at September 09, 2009 10:01 PM (OKZrE) 2

You know, my wife occasionally asks me why I like to argue. I can only say that in truth "I don't enjoy arguing. I just can't abide falsehoods to stand in my presence."
Maybe that's how this guy felt. He has a duty to his constituents and to the Constitution and he's supposed to sit there and allow his silence to be taken as tacit assent to what amounts to complete bullshit? Give me a break. "You lie." They would have had to haul me out of there. Posted by: mr.frakypants at September 09, 2009 10:02 PM (pffBj) 7

Turning point.
"You lie!" will be the only thing most Americans will hear of the speech. And the left, stupid in love as they are for their $5 auto-draft, back-ally prostitute, will howl in rage over the insult to their wet-dream love rag--and never get around to addressing whether he lied. The choir will keep drinking the milky kool-aid, thinking they've laid the lie to rest, while the thinking remnants of America will decide the it must have indeed been a lie. I've decided (today, actually) that we're wrong to try to police others. Each of us has to decide how loud or obnoxious we're going to be, we have to decide where the line is between profitable and rowdy discussion and unnecessary and unprofitable rudeness and *my* line is going to be unique to me. Some people will exceed my level of rabble rousing and others will think that I'm way past the level of "civil" discourse that has a chance to succeed.

Congressman Wilson, you are about to get as many interviews as you can stand. Be prepared to itemize your objections to Mr. Obama's speech. You can even apologize for speaking out, but feel free to pull an Obama by following that up with a justification of your actions.
You need to explain to the American people all that is wrong with the immigrant provisions. That whatever is not explicitly excluded will be included -- if not by bureaucrats, then by courts. You're on the hotseat Joe, don't blow it. Posted by: AmishDude at September 09, 2009 10:19 PM (T0NGe) 66

You can claim to exclude illegal aliens all you want, but unless you have a requirement for proof of citizenship or other legal status, "No Illegal Aliens Allowed" is meaningless. It's like putting up a sign saying "No Minors" and then not having an ID check. I don't know if there's such a requirement. That's what to look for. Obama did lie. HR3200 says no illegal immigrants. Except there is no enforcement provision whatsoever. There are other adjectives to describe it, but Pelosi's jaw drop and clear look of surprised fear, Obama's astonishment... Obama really doesn't realize just what kind of trouble he's in. Let us thank the commies at Media Matters for America (sorry, it links right to them) for the research here:
Media figures have falsely claimed that Democrats' audible disapproval of President Bush's misleading claim in his February 2 State of the Union address that Social Security will be "exhausted and bankrupt" in 2042 was "unprecedented." In fact, Republicans routinely booed and hissed during President Clinton's State of the Union addresses. .... As Media Matters for America has noted, the assertion that Social Security will be "exhausted and bankrupt" in 2042 is misleading, since Bush's own Social Security board of trustees reported in 2004 that "[p]resent tax rates would be sufficient to pay 73 percent of scheduled benefits" after 2042 and "68 percent of scheduled benefits in 2078." -------------------------- As most Marxists do, MMfA has to use extra adjectives. They cannot live without putting their propaganda in every sentence. So I had to include the very bottom of their article. (And if their correction is supposed to make us feel better, it doesn't.) Bottom line, the Dems booed Bush during his 2005 SotU, this was immediately after his re-election. Posted by: AmishDude (mathematician) at September 09, 2009 10:41 PM (T0NGe) 149

Here's something to think about.
Politicians live to be re-elected or to move up into a higher level office. The tea parties and town halls have shown that the American public is ready for some serious opposition, ready for someone in Congress to really lay into the Obamites, especially when the whole nation is watching. Yet only ONE Republican had the wits or the balls to actually interrupt Jug Ears on National Television. In so doing, Wilson instantly made himself a prime candidate for higher office. Only one GOP'er had the courage to grasp that moment. That tells me a lot about the slithering invertebrates we have in the GOP. Why should he not be called on his lies? I for one am glad to see this and I will tell you why. Obama is acting like Chavez getting up and giving speeches full of lies and all are sitting there saying nothing. Over and over no one challenges him to his face. He is a citizen who has been elected President. Nothing more. There is no elite. There is no monarchy. There are just citizens of the USA. Just because he is elected President does not give him license to get on the TV and lie to us. He is bound and determined to force this upon us and you know what he is showing how cold, calculating and unfeeling he really is. This is all about him. The country be damned. WASHINGTON (CNN) — Two out of three Americans who watched President Barack Obama's health care reform speech Wednesday night favor his health care plans — a 14-point gain among speech-watchers, according to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation national poll of people who tuned into Obama's address Wednesday night to a joint session of Congress. Sixty-seven percent of people questioned in the survey say the support Obama's health care reform proposals that the president outlined in his address, with 29 percent opposed. Those figures are almost identical to a poll conducted immediately after Bill Clinton's health care speech before Congress in September, 1993. The audience for the speech appears to be more Democratic than the U.S. population as a whole. Because of this, the results may favor Obama simply because more Democrats than Republicans tune into the speech. The poll surveyed the opinions of people who watched Wednesday night's speech, and does not reflect the views of all Americans. Posted by: Tami at September 09, 2009 11:06 PM (VuLos) 231

Hi Axelturfer! Welcome! PS, that was debunked here: HR3200 says no illegal immigrants. Except there is no enforcement provision whatsoever. Republicans put forward Heller Amendment, which would have put in an enforcement mechanism to exclude illegal immigrants, by applying the existing SAVE program. Steel responds
The president has proven his ability again to speak very well and say very little. He continued to try and sell his government-run health care experiment even though it will increase costs, increase taxes and increase the deficit. He said he wants to work with Republicans, but Nancy Pelosi and liberals in the House have opposed Republicans every step of the way. If the Democrats are serious about passing health care reform this year, they should stop pointing fingers and truly start working with Republicans to pass common-sense bipartisan health care reform that Americans want and deserve. I was thinking the same thing, CDR M. The US could've opted to expand truly free enterprise in health care in the US to draw foreign coin as well as optimize our own pipeline of health care -- make it a jobs growth and profit center where we already have an advantage over everyone else on the planet -- but have Obumbles looking to castrate it, spend lots of money to do it, and set us back at least a generation. This has stumblefuck and missed opportunity written all over it. I only hope that Obumbles environment czars don't outlaw planes. Posted by: AnonymousDrivel at September 09, 2009 11:37 PM (JamGx) 310

Using "fact"check.borg's logic, Barry Rainbowshanks isn't lying when he says he won't take away your current insurance. He won't. If and when the Health Choices panel or whatever it will be called decides your particular plan is not "qualified," they will prohibit you from keeping it. If your plan makes any change, even, say, altering the deductible for tensor bandages or something, they will prohibit you from keeping your plan. It will be disqualified.
So, see? Barry will do nothing to you. It's like that scene in Beneath the Planet of the Apes (racist): The mutant says "We are a peaceful people. We don't kill our enemies. We get our enemies to kill each other." Then he uses psychic power to force the two good guys to tear each other apart. Posted by: George Orwell at September 10, 2009 12:04 AM (AZGON) 353

This is significant and the Republicans should run with it:
OBAMA: "If you lose your job or change your job, you will be able to get coverage. If you strike out on your own and start a small business, you will be able to get coverage." THE FACTS: It's not just a matter of being able to get coverage. Most people would have to get coverage under the law, if his plan is adopted. In his speech, Obama endorsed mandatory coverage for individuals, an approach he did not embrace as a candidate. He proposed during the campaign — as he does now — that larger businesses be required to offer insurance to workers or else pay into a fund. But he rejected the idea of requiring individuals to obtain insurance. He said people would get insurance without being forced to do so by the law, if coverage were made affordable. And he repeatedly criticized his Democratic primary rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton, for proposing to mandate coverage. "To force people to get health insurance, you've got to have a very harsh penalty," he said in a February 2008 debate. Now, he says, "individuals will be required to carry basic health insurance — just as most states require you to carry auto insurance."
He proposes a hardship waiver, exempting from the requirement those who cannot afford coverage despite increased federal aid. As had been pointed out before mandatory health coverage is clearly unconstitutional. I do not have to drive a car if I do not wish to buy auto insurance. It is also a major flip flop over what Obama campaigned on. If the elction was a mandate for Obama's changes shouldn't it also be a mandate against what he clearly ran against? What gives the government the right to force people to buy health insurance simply because "they can afford it" as Obama stated in his speech? From the AP via Gateway Pundit.
President Barack Obama used only-in-Washington accounting Wednesday when he promised to overhaul the nation's health care system without adding "one dime" to the deficit. By conventional arithmetic, Democratic plans would drive up the deficit by billions of dollars. The president's speech to Congress contained a variety of oversimplifications and omissions in laying out what he wants to do about health insurance. OBAMA: "I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits either now or in the future. Period." THE FACTS: ...The long-term prognosis for costs of the health care legislation has not been good. OBAMA: "Nothing in this plan will require you or your employer to change the coverage or the doctor you have." THE FACTS: That's correct, as far as it goes. But neither can the plan guarantee that people can keep their current coverage. Employers sponsor coverage for most families, and they'd be free to change their health plans in ways that workers may not like, or drop insurance altogether. The Congressional Budget Office analyzed the health care bill written by House Democrats and said that by 2016 some 3 million people who now have employer-based care would lose it... OBAMA: "Don't pay attention to those scary stories about how your benefits will be cut. ... That will never happen on my watch. I will protect Medicare." THE FACTS: Obama and congressional Democrats want to pay for their health care plans in part by reducing Medicare payments to providers by more than $500 billion over 10 years... Here's your mission if you choose to accept it. Find the video of the Dems booing Bush at the 2005 State of Union when talking about Social Security...Remember that.... JOHN ROBERTS (CBS White House correspondent): At a couple points in this address, it looked more like the British Parliament than the United States Congress. I've never heard the minority party shout at the president during the State of the Union address. [CBS, post-speech coverage, 2/2/05] JOE SCARBOROUGH (former U.S. representative (R-FL) and MSNBC host): After the Democrats booed and hissed, Republicans were on the floor saying, you know, we never once did that to Clinton. So every time he would talk about Social Security, the roars got a little louder. And they got behind their president. [MSNBC, Hardball, 2/2/05]
How soon they forget.

Oh, wait. In fact, after promising to “make sure that no government bureaucrat .... gets between you and the health care you need,” the President repeated his call for an Independent Medicare Advisory Council -- an unelected, largely unaccountable group of bureaucrats charged with containing Medicare costs. He did not disavow his own statement that such a group, working outside of “normal political channels,” should guide decisions regarding that “huge driver of cost ... the chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives....” Posted by: Dave C at September 10, 2009 12:27 AM (La0Tt) 382

It's really crazy watching things happen like they are and wondering where the hell good sense went. Until I remember the eight years of Bubba, the Florida fiasco, and the eight years of relentless BDS. Then, when you trace the roots all the way back through Carter, Church, McGovern, FDR, and Wilson, it's clear that it's been a long time coming. We are a house divided that can no longer stand. There are two upsides to it, though: 1. If the center gets riled enough to force the left to STFU in the political arena (most likely outcome), then we get back to 80s-ish normalcy with the collectivist cancer in semi-remission 2. If we go full-on chemo, there's no reason to show your ass and ask the jackboots to beat-down your door, because the other side is going to start the party Don't plan. Prepare. Buy and fill your PMags. The left has the will but not the means to destroy the right. The right has the means but not the will. "I won", nationalization of industries, and the blatant looting are threatening the equilibrium. I know this because I've been radicalized. Posted by: MikeO at September 10, 2009 01:30 AM (WvolZ) 430

Oh, please. Don't get mad at his apology. He apologized for the outburst, not for the substance. In fact, he specifically mentioned he still disagrees but he apologizes for the setting.
If these are the rules of the House, then they are the rules. Even if the Democrats didn't obey them in 2005. Obama asked for it. He said that if people lie, we should "call them out". Wilson was just speaking truth to power and as we all know, dissent is the highest form of patriotism. If "lie" was too harsh, the president called what Sarah Palin said a "lie" explicitly (though without using her name). So he apologized. He can't unring the bell and it is pealing. I think it was smart to apologize here since it was an inappropriate outburst for that venue. THAT BEING SAID... I’m glad he said it. He was right...it is a lie. I tweeted him and thanked him for speaking for the rest of us who were yelling the same thing at our TVs. You know what this is like? It’s like when an attorney asks a leading question to a witness or adds commentary that he knows will be objected to...but simultaneously knows that people can’t UNHEAR something once it’s been said, even if a judge tells them to disregard the comment. Likewise... we’ve heard this now. And like Palin’s “death panel” comment, we can’t unhear it. You can't UNRING a bell. And Americans now have a reason to look into the possibility that illegals would in fact be covered. Consider for a moment that a GOP amendment...the Heller amendment... that would ban illegals was struck down on party lines. If illegals were not to be covered, then why vote it down? Posted by: Mary Beth at September 10, 2009 02:55 AM (JPEqm) 451
Rocks at 123: I would agree with you if Obama had stated something "those who say so are LIARS", rather than "that is a lie", because the latter has become accepted as meaning one or more of a bushel basket of technically distinct assertions including "that is not true", "that is wrong" and "that is incorrect".
But due to the insidious influence of the totally-government-monitored but largely unregulated Internet, and notwithstanding assiduous efforts by such guardians of the lingua americana no-pants-on edition, including popular regional, cross-cultural & cross-wired variations as this site's own lingua morona, to maintain some sense of appropriate decorum, rightly or libewrongly, Obama gets a pass on this. This technical reprieve is not made more palatable when we know there's is an abudance of evidence supporting not only that the recently self-deposed Alaskan gubernator could not possibly have lied about this, given her complete unfamiliarity with any of the facts associated with the national health care debate, but that in order to be found to have told a lie, it would be necessary both to establish some anchor or baseline 'truth' and to demonstrate to a reliable degree that she is conversant with said 'truth' to some functional extent, and that appears highly unlikely. Posted by: diderot's dog at September 10, 2009 03:00 AM (s4jbg) 452
I think that President Obama picked the wrong analogy again but no one seemed to notice. His likening his health insurance plan to auto insurance in addition to its clear unconstitutionality is as ridiculous as his comparing UPS and Fedex to the Post Office. First, most states only require you to carry liability insurance to protect others from your negligence. Comprehensive and Collision coverage are completely optional from the state's perspective yet these are the coverage items most analogous to health insurance. Perhaps even more damning as far as the analogy goes is the fact that, despite the fact that I pay my premiums on time, I have to pay for "uninsured motorist's coverage" to protect myself from those who don't play by the rules. In effect, I pay directly for my liability insurance as well as buying insurance for those (especially illegal immigrants) who don't pay for their own policy.
So, yes, the president wants to enact the exact sort of redistributionist plan that my state has forced on me with auto liability insurance. On another topic, perhaps someone could explain how he's going to remove the maximum lifetime benefit limits, force insurance companies to accept people with preexisting conditions add 30 million new people and lower cost all at the same time? I guarantee that, if this plan were to go into effect today, the premiums that insurance companies would have to charge would be so high that 75% of private employers would drop health coverage and force everyone into the public plan. And by far the most cynical bit of all is the fact that he doesn't want this travesty to go into effect for four years giving him time to be reelected before the people realized how screwed they really are. Posted by: SeattleSE at September 10, 2009 03:02 AM (Lx8lc) 453

Joe Wilson should not have apologized. What he should have said is that he would apologize AFTER the lying crap weasel admitted he was a liar and that the House version of the plan has all the stuff in it that he keeps saying is not there.
It will be interesting to see how Fox handles it in the morning. I know how the other lying crap weasel networks will handle it already. They will just say it is an example of the Republicans not wanting to “work with the Dems and being the party of no”.
As for McLame the assclown, I am hoping the people of AZ turn his sorry ass into the street next year. I have a sister-in-law living in AZ, I’ll have to check with her on how he is doing. I’m sure he and his butt boy from my State think that Republicans should have high degree of decorum and work with lying crap weasels in turning the U.S. into a communist den of mediocrity. I say if opposing the conversion to communism is the Party of No, then we need the Party of No.
As for being like auto insurance; even with liability insurance you can’t cover previous wrecks by getting a new policy. Forcing insurance companies to cover previous conditions takes it out of the insurance field and puts it in the socialized medicine deal. I think this may have been a good strategy by Wilson. Now everyone will be watching the illegal immigrant issue as it pertains to this bill. If we eventually end up with a plan that covers illegals, Wilson's outburst will not only be revealed as correct but heroic. And if the media tries to tear Wilson apart on this in coming days, it will only demonstrate to a broader audience how the media is the administrations goon squad, and probably how feeble the MSM has become at that game. They can't effectively help Obomber with his villainy anymore as they descend into their December years.

LOL, you must be kidding but just in case you are not I’ll say this. Illegals will NOT be paying for it. They will fall in that category of “poor” who are paid out of taxpayer funds.
What we should be doing for illegals is restricting their ER visits to real emergencies and deporting them when they show up.

Has any of the msm challenged Obullshit’s assertion that a savings of “1/10th of 1 percent” would yield long-term savings of 4 trillion dollars? What kind of fuzzy math is this man using? He’s basically saying we will spend, uh, 4 quadrillion dollars on healthcare? Over what timeframe? 400 years?
Of course, with the way he’s printing money maybe that figure will be about right by the end of his term… Posted by: Robert at September 10, 2009 06:35 AM (3DCf8) 474
Consider for a moment that a GOP amendment...the Heller amendment... that would ban illegals was struck down on party lines. If illegals were not to be covered, then why vote it down? Shut up! That's why! Posted by: Let me explain at September 10, 2009 06:48 AM (oyo/v) 475
This is perfect. He undid Barry's fairytale sales pitch with two words. Two f***ing words by the right person at the right time are going to help change history.
Personally, (and I really hate to second guess the good Congressman,) I would have preferred one word: "Nuts!" Posted by: jcp at September 10, 2009 06:52 AM (DHNp4) 476
Anything to stop this health care crime is fair game.
Wilson's shout out did not help, it looked stupid IMHO, in fact it was humorous because it looks like to me that his statement was suppose to be mixed in with the booing that Obama was geting from the crowd, but the crowd stopped and he let it rip right after the chamber went silent. Wilson should be there focusing on stopping this train wreck from happening and not get into town hall mode, town hallers are angry at "government" and their quest for ultimate power, the people be damned and Wilson is part of that until him and the rest of them are either out on their asses or can prove by consistent actions that they are doing the peoples bidding....This ill timed shout out doesn't rate as helping the people in any way, him scrambling to apologize (which he needed to do IMHO) and bee line to exit the chamber to avoid reporters shows that his mouth is bigger than his values......staying and answering questions on his shout out would have earned much more respect with me than slipping out with his tail tucked. Thank you, Rep.Joe Wilson, for clarifying the record at the moment Obama lied.
Bill Bennett's guest host agrees with Wilson and me. To hell with Mr. Manners McCain who always goes TOO FAR criticizing those with the guts to name a bold faced lie, rather than faulting the liar or at least the lie. How dare anyone censure Joe Wilson while Charles Rangle runs about scot-free dodging half his taxes since 2002. Rep. Wilson is NOT the first to loudly object to an outrageous lie coming from the House Speaker's Podium, even coming from a potus. Don't tell me that prior to our Civil War there weren't such expressions of outrage. Posted by: maverick muse at September 10, 2009 07:56 AM (F1b/5) 479
Don't tell me that prior to our Civil War there weren't such expressions of outrage.
Google Charles Sumner (R-MA) and Preston Brooks (D-SC). People knew when the limits were reached then.
Note that the roles were reversed then. Posted by: Vic at September 10, 2009 08:01 AM (CDUiN) 480
I never thought it would happen, but Joe Wilson just replaced Preston Brooks as my favorite congressman of all time. South Carolina, I salute you! Posted by: Tres Nalgas at September 10, 2009 08:07 AM (DZtka) 481
How's that "get in their face" feel, Mr. President? Obama's response to "You lie," "that's not true" applied to his speech, not to Wilson's audacity to speak truth to power so abruptly. Shock and awe. Don't discredit the attack because it was delivered in a way you wouldn't have chosen. There is no real reason that Obama should only face sugar coated protestation when he IS lying and his agenda IS to force America into submission to authoritarian rulers who disregard our Constitutional Governance.
Wilson called the White House to apologize to Obama, and Raum Emmanuel wouldn't put the call through. Barack is too small a man with such hypocritically thin skin to accept an apology, just as he showed the public during his campaign. Posted by: maverick muse at September 10, 2009 08:11 AM (F1b/5) 482
In 1856 Rep. Preston Brooks (D-SC) beat Sen.
Charles Sumner (R-MA) with a gutta-percha cane. The blows rained down
on Sumner's head as he tried but failed to stand up from his desk on
the floor of the Senate. With the whiff of civil war in the air the
House could not settle on a punishment. Brooks resigned but then took
office again after a quick election.
Rep. Joe Wilson (SC) made no such physical assault. What we know, and at this point in time are grateful for, is that South Carolina has the pelotas to rebut a bold faced lie as it is delivered, nipping it in the bud. In TWO WORDS he cut to the chase. "YOU LIE." And in every point in fact, Obama's speech last night began to lay down Obama's lies and hollow promises when he announced he would deliver the speech of all speeches to clarify all things for everyone. Obama still hasn't and never will read HR3200. No one will even take "credit" for having written HR3200. Posted by: maverick muse at September 10, 2009 08:20 AM (F1b/5) 483
Obama: 'If you misrepresent what's in the plan, we will call you out'
Joe Wilson (R-SC) returns the favor ... calls out Obama Democrats get their collective "tit in a ringer" Posted by: Neo at September 10, 2009 08:26 AM (tE8FB) 484
Keep in mind that the reason for the beat down was that dueling with Sumner was not possible because he was not a “gentleman”. Sumner had made some disparaging remarks about Brooks’s cousin, Senator Andrew Butler. Since Brooks could not be challenged, he was beat down. Posted by: Vic at September 10, 2009 08:28 AM (CDUiN) 485
LaRaza wrote the damn bill! Wilson's teh man. I love it when the libs are so freakin' stupid, they "outsmart" themselves. Currently, the Greens have succeeded in y're diverting water from farmers in Cow-le-fawnya under the pretext of "protecting the smelts." What they failed to consider is that by driving the farmers out of buisiness, they're also screwing over the illegals who work for the farmer. Hannity had comedian Paul Rodriguez on his show the other day to make his case for the pickers. Sometimes even the left gets sick of itself. Re illegals, our 14th Amendment provides all the guidelines about illegals that we need. Congress on down just chooses to ignore it. Read National Suicide by Martin Gross. It's laid out in black and white. Posted by: Rush Babe at September 10, 2009 08:30 AM (LKkE8) 486
I still think Wilson blew it in a big way. He had a golden opportunity to point out the "lies" and chose to run out of the chamber without taking questions. It shows a lack of character and has him coming off as a baby.
Fine, yell out that the O is a liar, he is but take advantage of the press who are chomping at the bit to have you explain why you just called the POTUS a liar. This is the difference between the town hall folks and a politician, the town hall folks would have pointed out the lies, the politician probably didn't even read these bills and therefore couldn't point out the lies or simply lost his nerve and slithered out of the room as fast as possible, dreaming that it will just all blow over. Another golden opportunity lost, IMHO. Posted by: Drider at September 10, 2009 08:36 AM (HaJD9) 487
Another golden opportunity lost, IMHO.
I don’t know about that. It sure got brought up on Fox this morning and a diferent R explained why it was a lie. Personally I got a copy of the speech and was going through it copying sentences that were lies and explaining why they were lies. Every paragraph starting on the first page had some kind of a lie or distortion and most had two. Since the speech had 66 paragraphs that would have resulted in app 100 lies. I quit after the first page.
If Wilson had stuck around to explain Il Douche’s lies he would have had to talk all night and the next day. Posted by: Vic at September 10, 2009 08:42 AM (CDUiN) 488
Mr. Wilson was wrong to call him a liar. Instead he should have thrown a shoe at him. Liberals love it when someone throws a show at the President.

In other words, this speech did not advance the call for this boondoggle one bit.

Of course it was followed by spewing indignation by the Democrats, and chiding from Republicans who didn't have the guts to say the same thing, or better yet, walk out. You just can't call a liar a liar to their face, especially when it's the illustrious Obamessiah. All Wilson did was say out loud what we're all thinking...or shouting at the TV set. Screw Obama. Obama is a liar, and a scumbag, and a socialist and a man of no character. Wilson was right in what he said and wrong where he said it. It was an inappropriate time to call Obama, the liar, a liar. He apologized for that, proving that he is a man of character. Democrats wouldn't know or respect a man of character if their life depended on it-which it does. They are a party of Hypocrites.
