Glenn Beck Promises Revelations That Will Send People to Jail

DJ sends the tip and asks for my reaction.

I'm guessing it's the National Endowment of the Arts' conference call urging the beneficiaries of taxpayer largesse to make propaganda art for Obama.

I thought of that because even George Will said of that, paraphrased, I don't know what laws were broken here, but I'm sure some were.

(If that's it, I really doubt anyone's going to jail, even if laws were broken. Bear in mind who the nation's top prosecutor is.)

I dunno, the NEA stuff doesn't sound jail worthy, given the leniency in applying the standard of law to liberal hacks. I could see someone losing their job over that, if the pressure were intense enough, but I wouldn't expect Glenn Beck to focus on that, given all the other crap going on with the czars and health care, China, and etc.

Now maybe he meant the revelations should send people to jail? I mean, those sorts of revelations have already occurred, and Sandy Burlar (to name 1 instance) and the various tax cheats (to name Geitner and Rangle), are still running free to my knowledge.

Then he immediately moved on.

My guess is that he didn't want to tip his hand.

He briefly mentioned the NEA stuff on Thursday's radio show but ran out of time after three hours of roasted czars.

He's got his proof in writing, plus a tape of the conference call.

I had a professor who encouraged me to apply to Harvard and Yale [for law school], which was almost unheard of for students coming from the kind of public schools that I was coming from in the rural South. I was accepted to both places, and decided to go to Yale because Yale didn't have any grades and was smaller than Harvard. I figured, once I enroll I'm guaranteed to graduate, so I can just go and be a radical hell raiser student, and they can't do anything about it. Which is pretty much what happened.

In my dreams, Soros is the first mark. In our reality, no one's going. Holder was picked for a reason. His prosecutorial discretion mandates that the only criminals in the land will be those who oppose his boss.

I wish Beck well and pray for him and his family, but I have zero confidence that our government knows how to discern "good" from "bad." Actually, that's not true. If you watch a fair amount of entertainment media from the last few decades, one of the most common characters you will see is the enterprising journalist with no fear of the established political order taking down some corrupt President or Senator.

How wonderful would it be if one of the primary hero ideals of the Left ends up being embodied in our friend Mr Beck?

I know I know, he's got a long road to follow to get to that point, but he does seem to be one of the few people in the media not afraid of Barack Obama.

I'd love for that to be true. Unfortunately, we may have found one of the few exceptions. Holder already has a dubious record and still has the earnest backing of Obama. Holder survived the political gauntlet during appointment. There will be no follow-up. Look at Holder v�s-a-v�s the CIA investigations and the dropped prosecution of a gimme' anti-Blank Panther voter intimidation case. Holder's going nowhere. Neither is Holder prosecuting anyone of political import who would even tangentially damage Obama.

The reality is that that's where we are and will remain. At least until 2012.
