I can make that official, if you want, but I should tell you you're going to have to open four or five leagues (or more) and it would help to give us updates on who's really winning (i.e., put the top ten or so in order, culled from the multiple pools).

Dave in Texas used to do this. I asked him if he's up for it again. He might not be, as it's a real pain in the ass. (that's why I stopped doing it myself.)

Anyway, if D-i-T doesn't want to do it, maybe you could, if you don't mind undertaking an annoying task.

No.

What if someone else has been convicted of the crime? Probably not, though he might want to tell police they have the wrong guy (not that they'll do much with that evidence-free tip).

Not as serious a vow as a priest's, but still in the same ballpark.

RIP Mr. Novak and thanks for a job well done. Enjoyed his autobiography, he called the shots the way he saw them, regardless of whose ox was going to be gored, and on which side of the aisle.

Would that the mainstream media took even a page out of his book.

Re: the comments from Democratic Underground.

To me these are:

(1) a reminder of the character of who we are up against. They hate us, they are relentless, and many of them would literally dance on our graves if they could. We need to never forget that.

(2) a reminder that we should exhibit a little more class than they do when the time comes for one of their side. We need to remember how ugly and twisted they sound to us when we respond to the death of one of their own.
