One of the prime characteristics of the Left is projection. So, for example, they talk about the culture of corruption because they are perfecting their own. They complain about big brother while using the executive branch to spy on their political opponents. They decry astroturfing while calling out union thugs to assault townhall attends. I could go on.

In this case, the Left relies on the media to tell them what to think, who to hate, and what is cool. They are aware enough, more or less, that the media performs this role for them, so they project the same for the right. And here Fox News is the most obvious choice.
