By the Way: The Chron runs a decent piece about this, finally. This time, they admit she's an Obama delegate, but of course they don't mention she's a lead organizer for Obama's astroturf organization, Organizing for America.

If they mentioned that, it would raise too many questions they don't want people wondering about, I guess.

But the link is barely visible on the front page. All the way down the the "Houston & Texas" section.

Burying it.

Now, they will say, "How much press do you think this is worth? It's just one person lying?"

Well, we don't know it's just one person lying just yet.

Further, it is the White House itself (and Nancy Pelosi and the DNC and the MSM as a whole) that has been pushing the "astroturfing" claim for two weeks.

The Chron finally has proof of a real live astroturfer, and they.... bury it?

Funny, I don't think that would be their response if they found a conservative-leaning astroturfer sent by the insurance industry.

I think they'd be proclaiming their scoop from the rooftops, not hiding it.

Slightly OT, though it is health care related, that Whole Foods thing is really picking up steam, I just got an e-mail from a friend about them no longer shopping there because the CEO is against health care for everyone.

It didn't seem to me that he was saying that in his Op-Ed piece, but apparently that is the directive from liberals these days. If you are opposed to the President's (Congress's?) plan, you are against health care for everyone. (Also heard the same thing from another person yesterday).

WF's veggies are overpriced, of course. The meat and fish is pretty good in terms of quality. Dry & canned has some interesting gourmet stuff.

However, their strong suit is the a good selection of craft beer, the biggest selection of Belgian brew of any chain store I've seen.

Plus now I have the added satisfaction of knowing that every time the WF's cash register rings, a commie weeps.

Well, I'll tell you. It will level the playing field for the unions. For example, you have two electrical contractors, Company A and Company B. Company A is non-union and Company B is union.

Both of these companies bid on a big open-bid project. Company A submits a bid which is 20% lower than Company B because A doesn't pay their electricians the extra $15/hr Company B pays for their employee's fringe benefit package which mostly covers the cost of health insurance.

So it's obvious who wins the bid. But with Obama forcing individuals and businesses to provide health insurance, the bids submitted by the two companies will be more competitive.

Honestly thought the same thing and, in a lot of cases, they are priced higher. But surprisingly I've found a number of products where their prices are lower than my local Vons grocery. Especially if you choose their house brand. The other thing I like about them is that they don't require a "shopper's card" to get their sale prices. I've accepted that data is being collected about me every time I walk out the door but I do appreciate the fact Whole Foods doesn't make it a requirement to get sale prices. And at least here, you cannot find a nicer plant and cut flower department.
