My o my, how fast things change. Just a week ago Obama was out there saying "maybe the worst is behind us" as he patted himself on the back for only losing 247k jobs (which will probably be revised higher). This week Wall Street's "bulls" are getting sheepish, people aren't buying anything, people are feeling shitty, and more people are getting laid off. Remind me who the Nazis are again:
Tribune-Review HARRISBURG — It sounded like the governor wanted to send state legislative leaders to the gas chamber during a news conference on the budget impasse Tuesday. In the children's section of a Harrisburg library, Gov. Ed Rendell compared a scene from the 1964 James Bond movie "Goldfinger" to the two televised meetings of the budget conference committee late last month. "(Goldfinger) was meeting with all these drug dealers, and they were all sitting there, and he just filled the room with poison gas and knocked them all off," Rendell said. "You might have thought after watching those two days that that ought to be a good idea." ------------Yeah, sure. The kids got the Goldfinger reference. Or maybe everybody just reacted favorably to the suggestion of mass murder. Posted by: AmishDude at August 14, 2009 01:22 PM (T0NGe) 32

"The Chron runs a decent piece about this, finally. This time, they
admit she's an Obama delegate, but of course they don't mention she's a
lead organizer for Obama's astroturf organization, Organizing for
America."
But of course. I can pull teeth easier than get all the facts from the liberal press (BIRM). Incidentally, anyone need some extra teeth? I've been yanking and collecting extras during procedures because, what the hell. I'm already there, right? Might as well bilk the government for some of that crazy medicine money. Slightly OT, though it is health care related, that Whole Foods thing is really picking up steam, I just got an e-mail from a friend about them no longer shopping there because the CEO is against health care for everyone. It didn't seem to me that he was saying that in his Op-Ed piece, but apparently that is the directive from liberals these days. If you are opposed to the President's (Congress's?) plan, you are against health care for everyone. (Also heard the same thing from another person yesterday). I left a comment on that story at the Chron site this morning asking them why the msm treated us to Joe the Plumber's complete biography, but only bloggers are able to vet the attendees of these closed "townhalls"? And why is it called a townhall if it's closed to the public? And why did Obama campaigners Isabel and Mayer get to attend this, but not the public?

It gets worse. When it's not being called the Hebe, the H.E.B. in the poor part of town is called the Ghetto-B, and the one in the wealthy area is the Gucci-B. My daughter goes to college up in Waco. The college kids call the HEB near campus the GhettoHebe and the nice new one out in the suburbs the TajmaHebe. Damn college kids are so clever. According to my daughter the GhettoHebe has a damned poor selection of everything except for beer and wine. I kinda wish she didn't know that. btw, do you morons even know why unions are in favor of ObamaCare? Most union members get health insurance in their bargaining agreements with their employers, so why do they care about Obama's plan to offer a public option? Well, I'll tell you. It will level the playing field for the unions. For example, you have two electrical contractors, Company A and Company B. Company A is non-union and Company B is union. Both of these companies bid on a big open-bid project. Company A submits a bid which is 20% lower than Company B because A doesn't pay their electricians the extra $15/hr Company B pays for their employee's fringe benefit package which mostly covers the cost of health insurance. So it's obvious who wins the bid. But with Obama forcing individuals and businesses to provide health insurance, the bids submitted by the two companies will be more competitive. Honestly thought the same thing and, in a lot of cases, they are priced higher. But surprisingly I've found a number of products where their prices are lower than my local Vons grocery. Especially if you choose their house brand. The other thing I like about them is that they don't require a "shopper's card" to get their sale prices. I've accepted that data is being collected about me every time I walk out the door but I do appreciate the fact Whole Foods doesn't make it a requirement to get sale prices. It'd be nice to have one, with a complete list of the names printed on the back, to wear to various political events. A border, titled "The Famous Last Words of Che (a man surrendering with a fully loaded and unfired pistol on his hip, immediately after all his guards had died fighting) Guevara" would be an excellent addition. "This fucker still thinks he is campaigning. WTF does a townhall filled with supporters have to do with being President? Yet that is all he ever does." A townhall filled with supporters, very likely a positive event, makes Obama look good. The implication is that he's doing a good job, and therefore doesn't need to have a townhall near YOU, that (undecided) YOU and your (undecided) friends could attend, and possibly hear (decided) people with a different point of view and tough questions that Obama cannot answer. He learned a lot from Joe the Plumber. The way around this is to show up at a townhall with a whiffleball question (to show his people), then ask a tough, short and direct question in front of the cameras.
