Can

House Republicans on Monday released a YouTube video questioning Obamas medical pronouncements from the podium. The video, set to theme music from The Young and The Restless soap opera, features the following three sound bites from Obama at his July 21 press conference on health care reform. You know what? Id make a lot more money if I take this kids tonsils out, Obama said at his press conference. His words now appear in the GOP YouTube video. If theres a blue pill and a red pill and the blue pill is half the price of the red pill and works just as well, why not pay half price? Obama asked.Maybe youre better off not having the surgery but taking the painkiller, Obama says in a third sound bite replayed by Republicans.

14 The turd's blogsite is hysterical. First, as someone who took the three years out of my life to actually get through law school, I love it when some non-lawyer starts trying to string together an argument using legal jargon via definition. They labor under the impression that they understand the law. Instead, all they understand is how to open Black's Law Dictionary and use the English Alphabet. Second, to answer his dumb ass question about the damage to reputation, hey, Mr. Dumb-Ass lawyer wanna be, that gets to the last element of the cause of action, DAMAGES. So, in essence, dumbass, what you are admitting is that you have damaged Palin's reputation, but because of all these other things, the damage is minimal. Not only do I want the Palin camp to sue, I want this asshat to go in and represent himself. I would move to Alaska, bring all the popcorn I can find and really enjoy this asshat trying to dig his way out of this pile of crap. I hate to say this, but this guy makes dum-dum seem bright.

Health Care Bill Says Sebelius Must Develop Measurements of Gender; Sebelius Says She Has No Idea What That Means
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius says she has no idea about a section of the Senate health-care reform bill that requires her to develop standards for the measurement ofgenderas opposed to simply relying on male and femalefor use in a new federal database that will collect information about all beneficiaries of government-run or government-supported health care programs.
When she was told the bill named her as the person tasked with developing standards for measuring gender, she said she was not familiar with that part of the legislation.Im sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about--measuring gender, Sebelius said. Im not trying to be elusive.
So, the very person named in the bill that is supposed to head all of this up, knows nothing about it? Unfuckingbelievable, but not shocking.
I love this last part:
Ensures that any ongoing or new federal health program achieve the collection and reporting of data by race, ethnicity, geographic location, socioeconomic status, health literacy, primary language and any other indicator of disparity, says the committees summary. The Secretary shall analyze data collected to detect and monitor trends in health disparities and disseminate this information to the relevant federal agencies. The Secretary shall also award grants to develop appropriate methods to detect and assess health disparities. The legislation also says the database will be made available to numerous federal agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control, the Office for Minority Health, and the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality. It also stipulates that the database will be secure and will protect individual privacy.

Secretary of State Clinton Heads to Africa to Tackle Continents Trouble Spots
Without even reading this article I was going to make a joke about how she is going to either be searching for BO's bc, or be clamping down on info coming out about his bc.
Then I read this:
Clinton kicks off the 11-day trip -- her longest overseas journey to date as the top U.S. diplomat -- in Kenya where she will address an African trade and development forum, meet top Kenyan officials and see the beleaguered president of lawless Somalia's interim government.Kenya, the homeland of President Barack Obama's late father, is struggling to overcome political and tribal divisions laid bare in early 2008 after disputed elections between the incumbent President Mwai Kibaki and opposition leader Raila Odinga.Obama, on a visit to Kenya in 2006, had urged Kenyans not to let those differences mar their democratic development, and U.S. officials say Clinton will repeat that message with Kibaki and Odinga, who became prime minister in a power-sharing deal that ended the crisis.....
"We think that the problems in southern Somalia have started to bleed regionally and internationally," the top U.S. diplomat for Africa, Johnnie Carson, said last week Damn, most of knew that a long fucking while ago.
.........
In Pretoria, Johannesburg and Capetown, Clinton will also underscore the importance of efforts to combat HIV/AIDS and pledge continuing U.S. backing for health care initiatives in Africa, some of which have been led by her husband's private foundation. What?! No mention of the highest $$$$ ever pledged by a US Pres.(GWB),to help fight AIDS and help booster Africa?!

35 Bankrupting the coal industry looks to be going according to plan
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Patriot Coal says it's shutting down a surface mine in southern West Virginia as part of a strategy to concentrate production at lower-cost operations.
St. Louis-based Patriot said Monday workers at its Samples mine have been notified that they will lose their jobs effective Oct. 1.
The Boone County mine is operated by subsidiary Catenary Coal Co. and has an annual production of about 2.5 million tons.
Patriot CEO Richard M. Whiting says closing the Samples mine will allow the company to keep reserves until coal prices improve.
Last week, Patriot lowered its production estimates to between 33 million and 35 million tons in 2009, down from 34 million to 36 million.
Patriot operates mines in West Virginia and Kentucky.

Well done Barry. You've saved the economy.

48 Britain is installing thousands of video cameras in people's homes to ensure they live correctly.

Initially, only in houses where the putative "adults" can't be bothered
to give their children meals or bedtimes or clean clothes. If the
British serial baby-makers-and-neglecters are anything like their
American counterparts, the cameras won't change their behaviors one
iota, so the next step is federally-funded state-licensed maids and
nannies in every day to do the cooking, cleaning, and child-raising so
the welfare class can keep the sex, drugs, and sloth going undisturbed
by consequences.

I find that a lot more disturbing than some deadbeats losing a little
liberty because they don't bother to uphold their
reponsibilities.

April is now named after the first Obama child. May will be named after the second Obama child (I have omitted the names because to actually use them would be ignoring the media's rule to leave the children alone, unless they are the twin daughters of Bush, then they are fair game). 65 Hope Change!
WASHINGTON The recession is starving the government of tax revenue, just as the president and Congress are piling a major expansion of health care and other programs on the nation's plate and struggling to find money to pay the tab.
The numbers could hardly be more stark: Tax receipts are on pace to drop 18 percent this year, the biggest single-year decline since the Great Depression, while the federal deficit balloons to a record $1.8 trillion.
Other figures in an Associated Press analysis underscore the recession's impact: Individual income tax receipts are down 22 percent from a year ago. Corporate income taxes are down 57 percent. Social Security tax receipts could drop for only the second time since 1940, and Medicare taxes are on pace to drop for only the third time ever.
The last time the government's revenues were this bleak, the year was 1932 in the midst of the Depression.
