The Permanent Campaign...Obama On Health Care "Yes We Can", NY Times Spins Faster Than A Top In Support Of Dreamiest Man Ever In White House

Following up on Obama's "campaigny" push back on Iran, Obama reached back in his bag of tricks to rally the troops on health care reform.

Facing mounting doubts about health care reform proposals as they become reality – “To be candid with you, I don’t know that he has the votes right now,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said on CNN Sunday, “I think there’s a lot of concern in the Democratic caucus” – President Obama today tried to rekindle some of campaign enthusiasm that swept him into office last November.

Addressing those “here in Washington who've grown accustomed to sky-is-falling prognoses and the certainties that we cannot get this done, I have to repeat and revive an old saying we had from the campaign: ‘Yes, we can,’” the President said Monday morning. “We are going to get this done.”

Things must be really looking bleak on the government take over front given the NY Times' need to dive even further in the tank for Obama than previously thought possible.

Over the weekend they came out with a poll saying everyone!!!11!! (well, 78% of Americans) supports "substantial changes to the health care system and are strongly behind one of the most contentious proposals"

That assumes you define "Americans" as people who voted for Obama since the NY Times poll substantially oversampled self-identified Obama voters.

"Obama Voters Support Obama Policy" isn't really that catchy of a headline compared to what (NewsBusters link) they actually ran..."In Poll, Wide Support for Government-Run Health"

So, allow me to sum up...

Health care nationalization? Yes We Can

Grab some ice cream while Tehran burns? Yes We Can

Say something supportive of Iranian protesters? No He Won't

On the NY Times:

Across a number of questions, the poll detected substantial support for a greater government role in health care, a position generally identified with the Democratic Party.

Wow, so Democrats support Democratic Party positions? Hey, how 'bout that.

One thing in favor of the NYT: they don't call it "health care reform." I'll give them that. And they never used the term "Campaign finance reform." It's alwasy "overhaul" or something. That is journalism 101 (and part of the AP stylebook), and most outlets don't follow it.

On Iran:

The Ayatollah Guy claimed Ahmadinejad won by 11 million votes. Still getting up to speed, but I haven't seen anything on that claim.

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama on Monday welcomed the pharmaceutical industry's agreement to help close a gap in Medicare's drug coverage, calling the pact a step forward in the push for overhaul of the nation's health care system.

Obama said that drug companies have pledged to spend $80 billion over the next decade to help reduce the cost of drugs for seniors and pay for a portion of Obama's health care legislation.

He was joined by Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee who struck the deal with the White House; Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., and Barry Rand, head of the senior citizens' advocacy group AARP. Notably absent was a representative from the pharmaceutical association.

Is this like Caterpillar promising to rehire people because of Barry's stimulus?

One set of health care rules for us peasants, and Congress and the One get to keep their gold-plated coverage.  Watch, it will happen.  I hope all the 52% who voted for the One enjoy going on waiting lists before they get tests and treatment.  I hope they enjoy the de facto rationing, and further that they enjoy the fact that government bureaucrats will decide what drugs they get if any, because once the government undercuts all other health care options, government care will be the only care available.  So we can all look forward to being treate like clients for  VA clinics.

I don't see the raping and pillaging of our medical system succeeding.  People get twitchy when it starts hitting close to home, those 52%-ers will change their minds real quick when they realize they'll be standing in line for rationed healthcare.  Not to mention the doctors throwing grenades.  People like docs lots more than they like lawyers, their words will carry lots of weight.

I wish we had a national party that would attack with a tort-reform plan, instead of those shitballs that are just offering obamacare-lite.  grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

i already have a statement ready to go if we get hit by the north koreans, i dotted every i and crossed every t:

Dear North Korea:

Sorry for the Korean War.  We made a mistake back then, and I can understand why you are still upset. We are even now!   America is a ________(insert main north korean religion) nation.  We also recognize that dictatorial rule makes governing easier than democracy (make joke about just ask the Mullah's in Iran). In closing its not about  freedom, its about justice, and in the world's court of public opinion, according to the NYT, 97% of people polled in the tora bora mountains and the swat valley of Pakistan agree that we had our "come up-ins".   I am ordering  25 ships full of food and medical supplies to your country, as well as I am ordering all US  troops on the DMZ to do an about-face, and finally , I asked Presidents Bush 1 and 2, and Clinton to host a fundraiser for your people.  I inherited this mess from them, and as such they should now do their part to help me clean it up.

Thank you, and God/Allah bless my country.

Presto, medical connection!

The Obamanazis will not change.  They lack the talent, ambition, and desire to succeed in a free society and prefer the dubious comforts of a bureaucratic nanny state where the minimum comforts will be guaranteed.  Look at Europe where there are hundreds of thousands of permanent students living in bedsits, smoking their pot and smelling to high heaven.

But they rage at a system that doesn't "recognize their merit" or honor their "self esteem" despite their lack of accomplishments and talent.  You'll never see a plumber or electrician in their ranks, but teachers, waiters, academics and the like.

The media lives in an echo chamber, what they say is reality, and it is within their echo chamber.  They are intolerant of all other beliefs and ideas.  This is why MSM is collapsing.  It doesn't reflect reality or even recognize it.

So the MSM invents more fictions and pretends someone cares.  No one cares about these frauds anymore.  They can't even grasp what is happening any more.
