| Vid: Protesters Force Regime Security Forces Into Full Running RetreatIt takes a while. First the protesters advance slowly, throwing rocks. The security forces throw rocks back. Stay with it. Ultimately the security forces turn and run.Comments1
The Iranian street hooligans must stop their rock throwing. Somebody might get hurt.

I have another magazine cover shoot coming up in a couple of days, so I went down to Bethesda to get my scrotum waxed (the Navy burn unit has the best dermatologists). It is an unpleasant procedure, to say the least, but when those shirtless photos of me in that the wet speedo hit the newsstand and tame the gay lobby, it will prove to be worth it. The point being, I've always treated ice-cream as a guilty pleasure after excessive chafing or what-not occurs in my nether regions. Not that it's any of your business, racists.

"What's up with the Iranian army?
Have they been called in, but refused to obey?" There are rumors of that. If the protesters can get the army to mutiny, they really can bring down the government. What you might see in the meantime is the various security services--the military, the police, the Revolutionary Guard and the Basij--or individual units of them, taking sides against each other, which would mean potentially escalating a very bloody civil war. NONE. And its been two hours or more since he got there to golf. The ice cream was covered instantly, and Knoller is one of many WH pool reporters who know, but NONE of them are writing about it. So.. Our kids took me out for ice cream after a rainy Father's Day cookout. In honor of the 44th President of the United States, Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream had a new flavor: "Barocky Road." Barocky Road is a blend of half vanilla, half chocolate, and surrounded by nuts and flakes. The vanilla portion of the mix is not openly advertised and was denied as an ingredient when I asked. The nuts and flakes are all very bitter and hard to swallow. The cost is $100.00 per scoop. When we purchased it was presented in a large beautiful waffle cone, but then the ice cream was taken away and given to the person in line behind me. I was left with an empty wallet and no change, holding an empty cone with no hope of getting any ice cream. Was I stimulated? FUCK YOU 52. NO! What's up with the Iranian army?
Have they been called in, but refused to obey? Like virtually every dictatorship, Iran has an army ( a conscript one) and a separate security force that has a dual role of being the elite of the armed forces, and serving to both prop up the regime and defend the regime against the army. Think the Wehrmach/SS, or Iraqi Army/Republican Guard. Or the Roman army/Praetorian Guard. The regime has no faith that the regular army would do their bidding. But the members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) are better paid and have great perks, things they would lose in a revolution, so they are tied to supporting the regime. Not necessarily. The Iraqi Shia are Arabs and fiercely patriotic of their country, whereas the Iranian Shia are Persians. I know it's complicated and convoluted but there's a definite rift there. It was these same Shia that turned on the Sadrists and drove Mookie out of the country because of his Iranian support. They looked at him as being a traitor to his country. As far as Middle Eastern militaries go, as Brad pointed out, they're typically uneducated and have negligible NCO corps to serve as tactical-level leadership. That and air superiority were keys to the Israelis' success against them until the Summer War of 06. As anyone who's served knows, without top-quality NCOs, you cannot succeed--I regard NCO competence as more important than officer competence. .

76 Uh huh, the revolutionary guard are the elites for Iran as were the republican guard for Iraq and they were surrendering to reporters, I like my Trident idea better, time to get 'er done! In '91, we took tons of prisoners, but not a hell of a lot from the RG. We had to kill them. So we did. They didn't put up a very good fight, but they at least put up a fight. in '03, some RG elements surrendered, but a lot more just walked away, forming the early core of the insurgency. And now is most definitely not the time to attack Iran. There's a chance, a small one to be sure, that the odious regime may fall. That was the fundamental goal of the war with Iraq. To so change the rules of the game in the Middle East that the other regimes would not be able to stand. Do you think perhaps one reason the Iranians are pissed about sham elections might just be because they saw fair and free elections next door in Iraq and Afghanistan? Two countries, by the way, invaded by the Great Satan... Posted by: XBradTC at June 21, 2009 04:12 PM (adKVp) 93

I think it's pretty funny how the right-wing suddenly has all this endless compassion for Iranian Citizens, which of course goes hand in hand with their contempt for the President. You fucks act like if he would have injected himself into the situation more aggressively you'd be okay with that.
As if you wouldn't have come up with another reason to slam him - I'd be willing to bet that you'd be saying that Obama needed to stay out of it, that change in Iran was going to come from the Iranians, not Obama, and that it would be yet another example of Obama trying to take over the world, or some other tin-foil-hat bullshit. You'd most likely say exactly what Obama has said in his own defense of staying the hell out of it. You'd probably say that we have too many problems here in America, and that Obama should focus on that, not the rioting of Islamic extremists in a farcical democracy like Iran, or that Obama shouldn't be trying to make himself the storyline. It would just be another self-serving attempt at appeasing the Muslim world, because he, of course, is a secret Muslim terrorist sympathizer. But no, all of a sudden, it's you and the youth of Iran in a righteous uprising together - spare me the sanctimonious, opportunistic tripe. You pieces of shit are all the same. Obama could para-troop into Pakistan, discover Osama Bin Laden's cave and slit the bastard's throat himself and all of you ungrateful fucks would rip him for it anyway. And you know why? Because he's black, that's why. Just admit it. It's not like it would make you any different from all of the white folks out there that can't stand him for the same reason (and there's a lot of you out there). And I'm sure you all tell yourself everyday that you don't hate him because he's black, you hate him for everything else, but you know it's a lie. You hypocrites can't even be honest with yourselves. You can't even look in the mirror without the pretense of incredible spin-doctoring to make yourself feel better. I have a lot more respect for a white man who can look me in the eye and tell me he doesn't like black people than for a a white man who looks at his feet and blathers out some crazy justification for hating black people. I see the trolls are out again. As I discussed with my dad at lunch, I feel really bad for the mental meltdown liberals and Obamacultists particularly are going through right now.
On the one hand they's like to support concerted actions by 'the youth' to seixe control of a country because they want to believe that's what they have done here. On the other hand, they're attached to the silly notion that peaceful protest is deeply meaningful and can accomplish things (despite the fact that it has only worked 'against' people who had no real interest in oppressing anyone). The fact that the Persians are made of sterner stuff than the students at Tiennanmen Square, much less the average college putz of today, and are using force to secure their freedom, scares them. I guess because they know at heart if bloody revolution ever has to happen here (and I am increasingly hopeful that it won't) again, totalitarian liberals are likely to be the ones in government being rejected. Don't riot cops usually line up and engage? The crowd wasn't that thick. These guys just tossed some tear gas and rocks and turned tail, like their heart wasn't in it and they just wanted to make a token effort. That's heartening; maybe many of the cops are sympathetic with the protestors. It all hinges on the army now; if the Basiji and the IRG falter and call out the army, and the army sides with the protestors, the mullahs are done.

Does anyone have a handle on the extent to which the protesters are against radical Islam? I get that they don't want the current regimen, but do they want a different version of Sharia law . . . or is there the will to actually have freedom of religion and expression in some real form (which would . . .one would hope, mean freedom for women and minorities like Christians) ? I am piggie. I am diagnosed as HIV+ and my doctor taught me that I can not share my semen or my blood to others. The others make sure that I am not allowed to get hard so I can not get them sick like I am. They can tease me so they can get naked and hard and taunt me that they can and I am not allowed to. Because I am Poz I can not share my cum but the others can give me their cum anytime they want to. They make themselves the Dominants and make me their slave. I was never the equal friend of them so I never had a place I can host. As a loser I never had a car so I never learned how to drive. They always told me a place I have to go or they even picked me up and taken me to a secret place and once I was told to strip I was never able to runaway and escape. Just to be able to be a member of the group I had to collect things that the group can use when I submit. When we begin the session at the secret temple we are naked and I submit to be the victim and they bind me helpless and once I am unable to resist anything, they start their ritual and begin using and abusing me. They sometime use me for hours or sometimes they keep me helpless for days. Sometimes there are just a one to one and sometimes they have to go out for a while and I am bound unable to anything but wait until he returns and then I find that he invited others to join the ritual and I can be there for days before they are bored and not want to do anymore and I can get dressed and they either tell me how to get home or they take me back where they took me there. I was never their friend as I was never handsome and I was always extra tall and have a few extra pound in my stomach. With that it does not be in shape too much as I am bound helpless it does not need to be in shape. Being not in shape the others do not care as I have a backpack full of bondage toys they can use for their rituals they like to use. And because I am HIV+ they are more aggressive, even Sadistic and punish me more for being too careless. The others be any age and they do not care my age as I will not get my satisfaction only the others will. Not allowing me to be hard this is being safe and the others can give me anything keeps them safe. Posted by: blackandgayandidrinkwhiskeyandiheartjesus at June 21, 2009 06:39 PM (/i4dU) 240

More importantly, why DOESN'T the CIA? Next? Maybe we'll see some disruption of Iranian oil facilities? That will get some attention. If you want to blame somebody, blame McCain for running the most pathetic fucking campaign ever. It wasn't the three people above that turned in performances in the debates that looked like a doddering old fool, or told everybody that if Bammers was elected things wouldn't be so fucking bad. Everybody knew that with the MSM in the tank for Obastard that McCain would have to run an almost perfect campaign and he didn't even come close. "As if you wouldn't have come up with another reason to slam him . . . . . . . . . . . . would rip him for it anyway." I dislike Obama because he is a charlatan, a bamboozler, someone with no qualifications for the job of President. Look at his job record: - An unsuccessful community organizer, - A mediocre lawyer, who turned to teaching and apparently gave up his license to practice law (why?), - A state politician who arranged $42million to renovate several housing developments, yet failed to renovate any, - A member of a board that spent $150million on various educational projects in Chicago, yet with no measurable success at all, - A US Senator who proposed no legislation and could not complete even one half of his term before running for the next higher office, - A man deeply involved with J. Wright (proudly/unashamedly African, because he cant see Darfur, Sudan, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Liberia, . . . . . .), ACORN and other thugs who violate voting laws, embezzle money, . . . . . .
Now, as President, Obama protects his cronies (the Chicago way?), and spends US taxpayer money in ways and on things as though he earned it and it is his to waste as he pleases(the Chicago way?). Previous Presidents at least had a modicum of restraint, and spent taxpayer money in concert with the crooks in Congress. Universal healthcare will not help the economy at all; just look at Social Security and Medicare. Cutting missile defense is obviously foolish, fortunately, Kim the Well-fed-yet-Short couldnt wait another year or so. GM & Chrysler: bankruptcy would've been cheaper and left the government with more money to pay welfare. The list of failed spending is a long one. Now, Iran seems in the process of replacing the mullahs. Unarmed men, women and the old are facing down the Basij (a civilian force, at least as powerful as the military; sound familiar?). They want fair and free elections, just like in Iraq and Afghanistan. BTW, who is responsible for the fair and free elections in Iraq? (Hint: G.W.Bush) Who voted to cut and run from Iraq? Does Big O speak out in support of the Iranian people against their oppressors (some of whom appear to be foreigners)? Thats really all thats required. No, he waits, issues timid non-statements, and takes the weekends off. Golf and going out for ice cream with his daughters are more important than voicing supporting the people of Iran. With a few Well-Chosen Words From The Teleprompter, Obama just might have been able to tip the scales against the mullahs. You know them; theyre the fools who are spending Iranian money to build nuclear weapons, ICBMs, and to support Hamas, Hizballah, and other terrorists. The Iranian people will lose Hamas and Hizballah within 24 hours, if given a choice. Will they stop nuclear development? Maybe. The current regieme won't. But Obama is losing this opportunity, and it looks to be due to a bad combination of inexperience, incompetence and political doctrine. If youre going to rant, at least try to get your facts and analysis straight. Try not to displace so much, it looks so lowered-bar / under-achievement-okay-in-this-case / PC. Mousavi: Obama Misleading the World (via FR)
Mousavi Accuses Obama of 'Misleading the World' Sunday, June 21, 2009 1:38 PM Author and foreign policy expert Michael Ledeen has published a letter reportedly from the office of Mir Hossein Mousavi, in which the Iranian opposition leader criticizes President Barack Obama for saying Mousavi and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadenijad are "two of a kind." The letter, addressed to Obama, takes the president to task for the remark, calling it "a grave and deep insult, not just to Mr. Mousavi but especially against the judgment of the Iranian people, against our moral conviction and intelligence, especially those of the young generation that comprises a population of 31 million. "It is a specially grave insult for those who are now fighting for democracy and freedom, and an unwarranted gift and even praise for [Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali] Khamenei, whose security forces are now killing peaceful Iranians in the streets of every major city in the country. "Your statement misled the people of the world." Sarah Palin is once again showing more leadership on Iran than Preznit Obizzle McStalinacorn. Via her Twitter:"Women worldwide watching Iran protests led by women demanding fair election & equality; their voices loud, strong; they will usher in change" "W/ deadly Iranian protests let us be thankful for, & supportive of, U.S. Military defending OUR democracy & freedom. God protect the innocent" Governor Sarah Palin needs your help! I really hope the people there end up with a better government. For our sakes as much as theirs. But we can't seem to go bomb a country's government and then come home. And I don't want to be in Iran as long as we've been in Germany and as long as we're going to be in Iraq. Let Iceland or someone go help the Iranians.

Still, I have to wonder what else the US government is doing in Iran. Has the CIA been providing resources? Has the military allowed confiscated Iranian-made weapons to be transported to those rising against their government? The history of this event might be much more complex than any can now see. Obama kept a public silence Sunday, although a spokesman said he discussed Iran with foreign policy advisers in the Oval Office for more than 30 minutes. He later went golfing in Virginia. He talked about it for a whole 30 minutes before he went golfing!! What more can he do? He took a whole 30 minutes out of his action packed day to talk about and issue no statement about it and then go golfing. He truly is healing the whole world. For those asking why should the US care about Iran, here's my answer: if a fledgling democracy were born, the government would be too busy getting on its feet to worry about nukes--it might even be willing to kill the program in exchange for diplomatic relations. If a secular government were in place, it might even be possible that the support for the Palestinians against Israel would wane.
At the very least, it lessens the chances of interference with Iraq, for which we have spent blood and treasure. Posted by: goddessoftheclassroom at June 21, 2009 08:09 PM (moDJ9) 298
