The people who thought she was stupid based on an interview with the little Katie Couric...a grown woman named KATIE...every one that I met I considered to be a dumbass. All Barry One voters, all gleefully ignorant. And what is great, Barry One is giving me much ammunition to show them that when I said "you have no fucking idea who you're voting for" I was right. Asshole graduate students are so smart, just ask them. Posted by: Rev. Dr. E. Buzz Miller at June 08, 2009 08:08 PM (FPYe+) 3

Most powerful, principled politician for the GOP right now. She still articulates in direct manner that which needs to be said. And she does it with a smile.
Oh, yeah. And she's right... as in correct. Obligatory: Still, good thing we didn't put her in as VP. Think of the state of the nation if that had happened! Posted by: AnonymousDrivel at June 08, 2009 08:33 PM (swuwV) 11

#7 - Thank you for linking the video. She said more in the video about a lot of different issues than Obumbles and Sheriff Joe could muster up in a 1 hour press conf.
It was annoying to me that the camera was kept facing Hannity and not the other towards Sarah. I'm not a lesbo but I do have kind of a girl crush on Sarah. It's amazing that the lefty still call her 'dumb' and actually support Sloe Joe Biden. Posted by: Cheri at June 08, 2009 08:37 PM (11AYx) 17
Had the great pleasure of meeting her and Todd yesterday in NY. They couldn't be more down-to-earth, nice folks - exactly what you'd expect.
It's easy to see why the dems and MSM (BIRM) hate her. She has the ability to connect with the average person out there in the hinterlands; therefore, she must be destroyed. I say fuck that. We can't let the opposition pick our candidate again; it's a recipe for disaster. Posted by: Andy at June 08, 2009 08:39 PM (xM6ve) 18

Bring the debate between Palin and BHO to the podium a.s.a.p. Only one rule, BHO cannot bring his teleprompter or crib notes to the debate. I guess that this would never happen however. She would have to give him her questions in advance by 72 hours. And of course she would be in another building in another state. Probably in Alaska. As far away from DC. as he could put her.

My only concern is: where are the landmark speeches? Where are her position papers? Where is her book - on POLICY ISSUES? CoolCzech,
Position papers this far out from the election would not make sense. They would be dead letters by the time it came to the primaries 2.5 years from now. One thing is clear, Palin will not get the lazy, sycophantic treatment from the press that Obama did. Obama either took no position or every position and never got called on it. Palin will have to pick positions and stick with them for good or ill. Therefore at this early date she should go with tried and true positions such as school choice (The Right must co-opt "choice".) and sustainable economic policies (as opposed to the unsustainable policies of Obama). The language of choice and sustainability should go a long way to staking her conservative positions while protecting her from the blindsides the press will take. palin steele, Given the offer of free Val-U-Rite for life (#46 above), I must ask that you asphyxiate yourself while masturbating. I agree with it, he started off with a 5 minute rant on how much we have in reserves of shore and in North Dakota, and that the American People want clean energy "at a reasonable price". Liberal states can never 'make America what it is' because liberals are not nor have they ever been a part of America. You are foreigners and unwelcome ones at that. You have never had any success in a national election when you were seen for what you are. Hence Obama's empty rhetoric about Hope and Change without ever describing the mechanism for making the country better.

You might want to take another look at JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs cash flow before you boast about them as the engine of America's economy. And possibly look into where IBM gets all its parts. Google and Yahoo are nothing more than ones and zeros to be replaced by the next, better idea. America is not the necrotic corporations you speak of, but the small businesses of today that will be tomorrow's great companies. Meaningless observation. In many cases it's just a letterhead address or a locale for the expedience of trade with other entities. Operations and labor are distributed across the fruited plain and/or around the world. Historical conditions classically merited a corporate presence in a high-density population center on the coasts, but it's not some special sauce of brilliance. I watched the video. Didn't hear anything I haven't heard hundreds of times before. "stimulus and taxes are bad, etc etc". She said some nice sounding generalities...heard nothing specific though, correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I don't hold alot of weight with Hannity interviewing conservatives. Generally Hannity doesn't even ask one hardball question and basically grovels to his subjects...ie "please cook me some moose stew and let Todd hunt a moose for me". Im not bashing Palin in this interview, since this is not supposed to be some hardhitting piece. I think Palin was fine...but I didn't hear anything really exciting either. It was a bland interview...felt like that fawning brian williams gave Obama. I always find harditting interviewees far more interesting...ie I'd love to see Glen Beck or OReilly interview Obama or see Olbermann or Matthews interview Palin. Its boring when you know the person doing the interview agrees with everything of the person being interviewed...but some people prob enjoy that. #116 - Much as I hate the fact that Newt caved on global warming climate change extreme climate change catastrophic climate change due to humans fiddling with the CO2 dial, I can see how it makes sense politically, if that particular bandwagon of stupidity has gone rolling and looks to be an unstoppable juggernaut, to get onboard. It takes away the 'anti-science' stigma or whatever the fuck ... then you can argue the case against all the batshit insane plans whose sole design is to cripple the economy or complete a massive wealth transfer to developing countries.
It violates science and reason to accept the AGW doctrine even in name only, but if the alternative is to let idiots like Waxman and Gore take the economy out back and shoot it, maybe that's what needs to be done, to fend off the worst. I don't like it, but it could be shrewd political move. I do still wonder how big of a concern very slightly higher average temperatures are to most Americans, though. Funny I thought liberals hated industry and coporations.
Partly. They hate industry and corporations that they don't have their fingers in completely yet. "Good" industry are places like GE, who just want to save the planet by supporting a cap and trade thing, and Loral, who gave satellite tech to the Red Chinese. "Bad" industry are teh evil oil companies and anybody who gives money to the Republicans. Posted by: Kratos (on the back of Gaia, scaling Mt Olympus) at June 08, 2009 10:13 PM (otlXg) 205

I wish CA and NY would straighten the fuck up. Why? Because liberals are a fucking cancer. They turn beautiful cities like NYC, Boston, LA, SanFran, and DC into third-world shitholes to rival the Gaza Strip. Then, when the host city dies due to THEIR FUCKING POLICIES, they move on and find a new host to infect. They then kill the new host with the same policies, and the cycle repeats. All the MassHoles move on to infect the rest of New England when they can't afford the taxes they voted for in MA. All the Californians move to Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona after the 500-pound fiscal anvil they created falls on their empty fucking heads. The political-class trash from DC and Baltimore move on on infect Virginia to escape the #1-murder-rate status they created. They need to be quarantined. Build DMZ's with mines and concertina wire around these goddamn miserable hellholes and confine these assholes where they belong.

Seriously late on the conversation and about a couple of days behind, but I'm only cluing myself in on this Captain America/Punisher moral authority thing.
Being a comics fan myself, it needs to be made clear that (and this is real Marvel continuity) Captain America has sweet feck all moral authority as it stands right now. First, he leads a rebellion of heroes against a government initiative to draft them. He eventually loses, but only after being responsible for massive property damage and a high bodycount. Then, after all that, he gets his shit ganked after his pregnant on again/off again girlfriend puts three rounds in his chest, then went and got an abortion from the Red Skull. The guy who carries the mantle of Captain America now is his former WWII sidekick who, after losing his arm in an explosion, winds up becoming a Soviet spook. The Punisher, on the other hand, committed suicide just so he could give God the finger, then came back and dropped some mafia goon off the top of the Empire State Building cause that's how he rolls. So, in the end, between the two, who's the one looking out for you? Posted by: Robert at June 09, 2009 01:17 AM (4ixH5) 249

Right Mommypundit the camera was on him the entire time. How silly! That might have not been Hannity's idea but it looked vain.
Someone up thread said that Hannity should have interviewed Sarah before Katie Couric.I have to disagree. I guess I am not a big Hannity fan and his interviews just leave me wanting more. I really would love to see her interviewed by someone a little more neutral and intellectual. However, I do not think this methical media interviewer exists anylonger. Maybe Tim Russert? Terrible taping!!! What the heck were they thinking with the camera on HANNITY???
I think they did that in part to have her closer to the camera and Hannity farther away, so they look more equal in height. It didn't seem so bad on TV, but maybe I'm misremembering. I wish we could see a picture of her at the Yankee game with Rudi. But man, contrast the expressions on Sarah's face to the glaring, hateful stare of MO. Sarah is real, and Sarah has joy and warmth and confidence within her just bursting forth. MO and BO are resentful, arrogant and hateful inside, and it shows. First bigfoot....lol. I saw the 'Cuda last night on Hannity & can't help but be impressed with this woman. She has a natural aura, an honesty, and integrity that few politicians radiate. As others have noted, I HATED the taping. Camera angles were bizarre and the walking and stopping, walking and stopping was pointless and annoying. However, it didn't detract from her. She is a communicator and if she can overcome what the MSM did to her, she will have quite a bright political future, imo. Damn them and damn the frigging idiots that didn't/wouldn't see the contrast to how she was treated and how Oshithead was treated.
