Actually they are publicly traded company, ticker symbol GE and I'm sure their shareholders will think it was really a dumb move to take on Nielsen.  Plus, they always complained that the tv was bringing them down, tried to sell it several times so, since their programs don't do well as a rule, way to go to piss off Nielsen.    Essentially, CNBC was really starting to get a clue and saying it but suddenly it is all happiness and contentment.  A lot of colloquial evidence supports the story about the meeting.
