Hmmm... Richard Wolffe's New Book on Obama Says Their Marriage Wasn't Always So Solid

ABCNews was on this story before the election, but predictably chose to spike it.

Richard Wolffe has new book, "Renegade: The Making of a President" and talked to Inside Edition saying:

*“until recently, there were more downs than ups.”

*“He [the President] has been open about this. That he [the President] says there was little romance [in the marriage]. There was lots of tension.”

*Michelle felt that Obama was "being selfish" during the 2000 campaign, Obama thought she was "being cold."

*People were worried about their marriage, Wolffe says, but now things appear to be “much better.”

It looks like Wolffe is talking around the big scandalous rumor rather than directly addressing it.

Michelle is/isn't Hillary Clinton - in that she may have the ambition to be POTUS but doesn't have the political skills of her husband, w/o which they wouldn't be where they are today.

This book/scandal stuff could begin to pull the One's mask away and reveal him (and her) to be what the Clinton's always were - a political power couple with little affection for anyone but themselves.

I also believe that there is much about Obama's past that would make for some damn fine reading/reporting if anyone ever gets around to asking the right questions. If only.....

I agree.  People should be more sensitive to the difficulties that arise when a Klingon mates with another species.  Aside from the obvious tensions and broken clavicles, Klingons frequently make commitment oaths after only one encounter.  Human relationships usually require longer gestation periods in order to succeed.

So someone probes into the Obama's marriage - big deal. As POTUS, one has to expect it - which means that if there's anything to hide, one better make sure that it stays hidden. If there's nothing to see then open up wide and invite the inquiry. As a public couple, they're both fair game.

213 I wouldn't be so sure things are that much better.  In pictures of the two of them together, she often seems "closed off" from him, with his hand reaching out to hers and her arms at her side.  I don't sense a lot of warmth between the two.  On the other hand, she seems very materialistic, and, well, she's got servants, stylists, cooks, power, and lives the life of a queen now.  Like most political wives, I think she'd look the other way.

As for Obama, he is a charismatic Leo, just like Clinton was.  If he's not fooling around now, then I think he will eventually.  If he does, he best not be caught with a white woman, because that would lose him the support of the black community and most women right there (although, if she's white, blacks would probably just say he was framed, and forgive him for it).
