| Fox Network to Obama: You suck too much for sweepsOK..maybe they didn't exactly put it that way. Still, it's the thought that counts. And you know the bean-counters were thinking it.The Fox network is sticking with its regular schedule over President Barack Obama this week. The network is turning down the president's request to show his prime-time news conference on Wednesday.I know a woman in Northern Alabama who is going to be very happy about this turn of events. Hmmm... [ace] Instead of the president, Fox viewers will see an episode of the Tim Roth drama "Lie to Me."How is that any different from Obama's press conference? Kudos to Fox for standing up to the Narcissistic One. More: Obama Gets More Press, and Better Press, Than Clinton and Bush Combined [ace]: Really? I had no idea. Bad move, Fox.
I'm being constantly reassured by various dingbats and mouth-breathers about how extraordinarily poopular Baracky is, so I imagine Brother Obama's Traveling Salvation Show will get monster ratings. I heard audio of today's Teleprompter malfunction. My first thought was, hey, give the guy a break; when you speak in public about 20 hours a week, you're bound to screw up. But then I thought, no way. He's The Smartest Man in America-- he's not supposed to screw up, at least not with the alarming frequency he does.. If G.W. Bush had been in the exact situation, the MSM would have smirked and went on about how stupid and inarticulate he is. The Dear Leader gets a pass. My guess is that Fox didn't want the possibility that the presser screw up American Idol. I think that's a live broadcast and it would be a nightmare trying to work around White House Idol. I really hope he doesn't screw over Lost. That show kind of slid for a season or so but has redeemed itself this year. Posted by: Ghost of Lee Atwater at April 27, 2009 04:15 PM (sXLx/) 32

Maybe they could just run a scroll of the teleprompter text across the bottom of the screen. Obambi could even give FOX the reporters' questions in advance, along with the answers.

Besides, how much prime network time is the president entitled to? It's granted as a courtesy, it's not a requirement. Seems like the Empty Suit has been on TV at least once a week since he was sworn in. Enough. Get back to work instead of gadflying all over the world. He spent the weekend playing golf; remember when Bush did that, and the media howled about his insensitivity? The Empty Suit can play 36 holes without a peep.

I'll take Bush's mangling and making up of words (who doesn't make up words from time to time?) over the Unicorn Whisperer's heavy reliance on TOTUS. At least Bush's being able to speak without needing to rely on the prompter showed to me he knew what he was talking about. That Obambi needs his prompter shows to me he don't know scheisse. I've yet had anyone point out any major or semi major speech by Bush that was not delivered well when in fact most of the critics have had to give reluctant praise to both the delivery and content of most of them. Even his own supporters have exaggerated this meme.

Fantastic. And Fox's ratings will spike which will pain the others. How long before his propaganda arm gets itchy to follow suit? Looks like I finally have a new show to enjoy. If the "Lie to Me" producers are actually bright they'll do an episode that includes a couple of Baracky's best tells. If that happens, I'll sweeten the deal for them and even become a loyal fan.
