Awesome: Crowd Cheers as GE Shareholder Rips MSNBC

He is a shareholder, but he's also Bill O'Reilly's ambush guy. It's the response, not the question, that is heartening.

2 Meanwhile GE and NBC are pushing the green agenda, and even watching "Modern Marvels" which is about Benjamin Franklin today, and what is more than 20 minutes of it about?

That's right, global warming.

We are living in interesting times.

12 For some reason MSNBC reminds me of this:
Those who write on bathroom walls,
roll their shit in little balls.
And those who read those words of wit,
eat those little balls of shit.
(MSNBC is shit)

Posted by: tcbevo at April 23, 2009 07:00 PM (z4daD)

13 It also reminds me of people who love to quote people they read about in their cliffnoted version of "The Great Big Book of Quotes," without reading any of the books the quotes in the great big book of quotes references.

17 Standards huh? Christ what a joke!
I don't think they mean what we mean, when they talk about standards.

Anyone who stands in the way of their agenda or their dime store messiah will be savaged. They will attempt to control the message by legislative means because they have to. Only by controlling the means of communication can they maintain the level of indoctrination they need to hold power.

sultanknish.blogspot.com/

...Propaganda newscasts do not "report" anything, they exist only to indoctrinate. They come in two flavors, fluff pieces on the government and the people, and harsh criticisms of the enemies of the people.By abandoning any pretense at journalistic objectivity and defending their liberal bias as good journalism, the media itself destroyed not only their own credibility, but the very notion of a free press. The internet is simply completing the job of transforming the media environment into a partisan mud throwing competition dominated by eyeballs, rather than by corporate ownership. And while most will not mourn what we have lost, a free press is an essential element in a free republic. The middle ground of truth has fallen away and with that fall, the intellectual environment, the ability to maintain a dialogue on common terms and any objective truths have fallen away with it as well.

That looks strange.

21 I think that MSNBC, and NBC is full of left wing wackos. However, I don't agree with an ambush interview at a shareholder meeting-even if the reporter was a shareholder.

I know that they have muzzled CNBC people as well.

Posted by: jeff at April 23, 2009 07:29 PM (f2UFs)

22 When a woman shareholder asked a similar question-they turned off her microphone. That was not cool by Immelt. You have to answer your shareholders and NBC pandering to the radical left is a business strategy that has not worked.

24 Ambush journalism is at least journalism. We are in very short supply, so in my opinion, beggars cannot afford to be choosers.

The newspapers and media outlets are falling all over themselves to sell their voices to the government. Take what you can get!

Posted by: Travis at April 23, 2009 07:36 PM (TBitx)

25 if you are gonna run a company, be in bed with the govt, (remember all the MSNBC hosts railing against Bush, Chaney and Haliburton) you deserve to get ambushed. Immelt has tanked GE and needs to be held accountable for it. Ambush Journalism, happens when accountability is not being obtained by any other means, it's not like Immelt goes on the Factor to defend his point of view or his reasoning behind his actions. So what happens when you dont come to the news.....the news comes to you. fair is fair, peoples money is at stake.

26 A culture war is not like a regular war. A culture war is fought with the weapons the other side gives you. Pat Robertson is on their side, Garafolo is on ours.

How many times has her moronic statement been replayed? How much outrage has her childish, vicious insult created, to what degree has it spurred the tea party organizers to greater efforts?

She's gold, I tell you! Pure gold!

Severability clauses are generally unnecessary because they're redundant. Courts give all parts of a statute and all applications of it a presumption of constitutionality, even if other parts or applications of it have been found unconstitutional.

29 Whats so disgusting about GE/NBC is the moral preening while grubbily grasping for every Obama-buck they can get. While the common shareholder gets screwed rotten.
I'd almost have a little respect for them if they dropped the pretense of what their doing has a "higher purpose"- it's a fake religion and they want the church-building contract.

45 I think Garafolo does the Conservative party good when she gets lots of attention. It pisses off the base, and it will makes the squishy middle squeamish, to a degree. They will only take so much disharmony, and then it helps if it is from attractive and interesting people. JG isn't one of them. All the crazies need to be broadcast. A lot of people never know all the weird shit they say, so if it is out there, great. I can't believe it, but I am complimenting BOR again. He is the only one drilling hard on this subject, and it needs to be out there. If enough people know, when Obama does try to give contracts to GE for all that green crap, it won't go over as easily. Plus, he has been hitting hard on the torture thing. He even jumped Lesley Stahl on it. For some reason he is not bothering me as much as he used to, but I have gotten to where I can't watch Hannity unless someone screws a loaded gun in my ear. And Greta lost me when she kept fomenting that hate on the AIG execs. It just fed into the class envy horse shit of the left. I had rather watch Cavuto, more than nearly anyone else over there. Beck is a hoot. Then there's Megyn and the hot Bill Hemmer, the notorious PAB, teh awesome Stu Varney, and RedEye.

Anyway, I don't have a problem with it, sometimes that's the only way people get to see how assholish someone is. I'm with you di. I don't want any reasoned legal and moral arguments about gay marriage because I'm so turned off by al-gayda goon tactics that I vote against them just to piss them off. The Left doesn't tell people to can the extremist talk from gay goons, but we have the RINOs and eeyores on our side wringing their hands over any stern opposition to the socialist menace.

I had to go buy new tit holsters, and ended up getting a size bigger. I have put on too much weight this winter, (turning 43 is not good for being skinny), and realized I weigh in at about 135. Too much for my height. I need to lose at least 15 lbs. Hubby sez it's ok, but I don't wanna be like Meggy Mac.I am a grandma to 4 kids!!!! Well, 2 of them are my 33 y old step daughter's kids, but I have been around since their birth. My daughter, the one with the genius IQ, got preggers at 17, on purpose, so we couldn't keep her and her BF apart at separate boarding schools. She is actually a great mom, and loves her hubby of 3 yrs. I wanted her to go immediately to college, and put all that stuff off for a good8-10 yrs, but she is living her own life. She goes to college PT, and has a 2 1/2 y old son and a 1 yr old daughter. The stepdaughter is expecting a third kid. I never thought I would be a grandma of 5at 43! I was the one who had a pink mohawk in HS, always wore tiny bikinis, and looked 10 yrs younger than I was. I think it is finally catching me, darn it.
