| Shocker: Left Winger Leaves Post Praising Terrorist Killer Tim McVeighJust posting this so when the MSM decides to do its monthly look-at-how-crazy-the-comments-are-on-the-right-wing-blogs column, they bear in mind that a good fraction of those comments are posted by leftwingers. David Lane gave his life to defend our country against ZOG Ted Kaczynski fought the technological society and the culture that alienates individuals from nature. He is a great libertarian. He acted. Randy Weaver defended himself against assholes trying to take his guns away. Same goes with Koresh. 82 dead. Rudolph defended the lives of the unborn. McVeigh's action was indefensible, but his impulse for revenge is understandable. The hashmark at the end -- 2CFkQ -- is a unique code derived from a poster's IP address. The code in question here is one used lately by our resident Obama-defending communism-enthusiast "erg." Comments1

Wow. It's almost like someone is trying to paint us as right wing extremists. Hmmm. Wonder why they might want to do that?
Posted by: XBradTC at April 19, 2009 01:21 PM (vzrxD) 3
Big surprise, a left-winger is a Moby who attempts to make the rest of us look like assholes.
Even bigger surprise, they take someone who is straight out of the left-wing hall of fame (Unibomber) to try and smear us. The guy was an Ivy League grad and a Berkeley professor who regularly bombed people involved with technology and/or logging. Sounds like a violent version of Al Gore to me, except the guy actually practiced what he preached and lived in a simple mountain cabin. They have this odd belief that people are incapable of tracking them online. As if simply because Obama is in office the horrible "privacy violations" and the horrific non-sequitors regarding the PATRIOT Act (funny how no leftist complains about that anymore) have ceased to exist.

I'm glad you use that weird identifier. I wish every site would do that. Kinda wish you and a few other sites of similar alignment would share the system, because concern and hate trolls are so common.
I have to say, it's so frustrating what the Clinton administration did with information about the horrible tragedies of that era. The answer isn't to take up arms and kill people.. .the answer is to do whatever we can to inform the people about this stuff. If the people want to reelect democrats, exchanging corruption for freebies, that's their right in our republic. But I hope the problem is ignorance. I've never really understood the motivations of these fucking retarded comment-board trolls. You'd think that they'd have something better to do with their time. I mean, even if they are fat, friendless zeros posting on their dad's computer in their basement -- at least masturbation is an option, and is probably more entertaining than trolling on the internet.
It's no accident that these retards sound like emotionally-arthritic fifteen-year-olds; mostly, they are (whether mentally or physically). They're like the fat kid in school who eats his own boogers: the other kids may be disgusted, but at least they're looking at him. Being known forever after as the kid who eats his own snot seems a small price to pay for such people. The world is full of interesting hobbies! Learn to play the harmonica! Collect postcards! Take up jogging (which will have the added salutary effects of getting rid of unsighly flab and getting some sun on that pale, grublike skin)! Experiment with gourmet cooking! Any or all of these things are more interesting and rewarding than taunting people on the intartubes. Posted by: Monty at April 19, 2009 01:43 PM (dCZbI) 25

Roughly 75 innocent American citizens were incinerated at Waco and no one in command ever paid a price for it. My hash changes every damn day? Often times, whenever you log on, you get a different IP address from a pool dedicated to your ISP...it's called 'Dynamic IP Addressing' ...the reason for it is that they're running out of IP numbers in the old system so they have to make the most of the ones they have. The system is known as IPv4. They've got a new system out called IPv6 but it's going to cost a lot of investment to get everyone on it. IIRC, the 'hash code' came about after a rash of sockpuppetry here. Now, it's all fine and good, but Ace got a little tired of people sockpuppetting him. And of course, there were some less than charitable uses of sockpuppetry. So you can still do it, but now you can be brought onto the carpet for stupidity if you cross the boundaries of propriety, such as they are here.

The constitution doesn't exist as anything but a mandate for the people. At the end of the day, the constitution has already been destroyed by the judges nominated by our 'leaders'. It's pretty obvious that I should be allowed to own the same rifle the army uses, and that equal protection bans progressive taxation. But the constitution is basically nothing at this point. If you have DSL or Cable and turn your computer off for 10 minutes or so, you'll probably get a new IP address. I don't know if the hash code will change with that or it will take it from the cookie (there is a cookie, definitely). Vic at 41,
What was your point? That the people have already decided to destroy the constitution? I thought your point was that they can't do that. Anyway, the constitution isn't some holy device. We should rewrite it... it has some dumb ideas in it. It's by far better than any alternative I know, but that doesn't mean we can't improve it greatly. regardless, the basic truth is that the people can and have basically abolished the points that mattered most. We don't really have free speech... just the freedom to speak truth to unpopular 'power'. We don't have the right to guns... just some approximation of that. We don't have equality or retrained government or rights reserved to the states. The executive and judiciary are vastly and ridiculously different than laid out in the constitution. These rights were taken, and no one stopped it, and that's the way the world works. If you want to fix it, I've got your back, but I don't know that the people even want that fixed. I have no idea what to do about that problem. Posted by: Dark Halo at April 19, 2009 02:17 PM (8jYMc) 51

Yeah, I used to believe [naively] in the pigs slopping from the same trough theory - I thought that it was just large scale groupthink and that it would be just a little too kooky to believe that they actually got together behind the scenes and formulated a coordinated strategy. But stuff like the JournoList and the 200 identical headlines and the coordination between the Obama campaign & the Goldman Sachs moles in [what was ostensibly supposed to have been] Dubya's Treasury Department has me rethinking my youthful naivete. I'm actually at the point now where I'm wondering whether the Fannie Mae collapse could have been [artificially] manipulated to occur when it did. PS: Simon Sebag Montefiore says that Axelrod is a very old Menshevik name - there were Axelrods working with Stalin in Georgia in 1905. When I first read that, it really threw me for a loop, although, in retrospect, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. when i first read that, it really threw me for a loop, although, in retrospect, i guess i shouldn't have been surprised. The war between the States was NOT an “insurrection”. It was an attempt by the South to leave a union which had decided it no longer would follow the Constitution. Every State in the union at that time thought that secession was a legal remedy to government action against the agreements contained within the Constitution.
And that includes the States of New England who were so rabid for the war since they had considered secession themselves over the war of 1812. Posted by: Vic at April 19, 2009 02:52 PM (f6os6) 74

I'm actually at the point now where I'm wondering whether the Fannie
Mae collapse could have been [artificially] manipulated to occur when
it did.
SOMEONE was stampeding the cattle beginning with the overnight markets on 9/14/08. I've read several accounts of multimillion blocks of futures being dumped from just a few hedge funds. In the two weeks from 8/30 to 9/12/08, McCain had gone from 1996 Bob Dole to a growing lead in the polls and was even closing the Obama leads in the deep blue states. The supposed cool, calm Obama campaign was starting to resemble the 2007 Mets and the DemSM was desperately trying to squash the fascination with this "Caribou Barbie". I was just thinking about that MAC address thing...if you could access it with Javascript and use it as POST data, that would be the cat's meow. They'd have to physically change computers and you could make a 'troll computer list' with it. Based on that, you could have a lookup on the server side and put the trolls in a different colored comment box or something. Posted by: CanaDave at April 19, 2009 03:02 PM (0cLeu) 82

Not everyone's hash changes. Mine doesn't. Mine changed last year some time. My computer got infected, I tried to fix it, I thought I did, and I wound up with a different hash. Then it started acting up again, so I called the Norton people, some guy in India manually removed whatever was bunging up my machine, and I've been 5KNeJ ever since. WTF is an inferno machine?
I'm pretty sure the term is "infernal machine," which is an archaic legal term for "explosive device." When the Germans carried out sabotage in the U. S. during World War I, the newspapers referred to their bombs as "infernal machines." The reporter repeated the term phonetically, just like my ex-boss, who always said, "Let me give you a pacific example." My guess would be that if you are using a dial-up connection, then you would be getting new IP addresses much more frequently than you would if you were on a [more or less] constant broadband connection.
Our residential broadband almost NEVER gives us new IP addresses. If you have a recent version of windows which is grabbing your DHCP addresses for you, and if you are an Administrator, then, from a command prompt [Start | Run | CMD.EXE], you can force the box to relinquish its IP address and attempt to grab a new one: IPCONFIG.EXE /releaseIPCONFIG.EXE /renew But I almost invariably get back the same IP address that I started with [in fact, we seem to go weeks or even months at a time with the same IP address, no matter what we do]. PS: Many low-end Linksys/DLink/Netgear boxes won't even afford you that much functionality, although sometimes they'll have a web-based administration interface which will allow you to attempt to release and renew IP addresses. PPS: I am also not real crazy about the fact that this "long text" filter forces me to go to TinyURL to create a shortened URL when I want to post a link - it means that the folks at TinyURL are [at least potentially] able to record my IP address, and then associate that IP address with the TinyURL hash which they granted me, and that in turn means that the bad guys are [at least potentially] only one or two search warrants away [or even less, depending on the politics of the folks who maintain TinyURL & the folks at my ISP] from sending their jack-booted thugs right to my front door.

You'd get a new one every time you dialed on. If you got the same one, it would be sheer coincidence. IPCONFIG.EXE /release IPCONFIG.EXE /renew But I almost invariably get back the same IP address that I started with [in fact, we seem to go weeks or even months at a time with the same IP address, no matter what we do]. That's because this will only get you a new IP address on your local network, if you're on one, and by "local" I mean "in your own house that you set up yourself." If you get your IP address from your ISP's DHCP server, running ipconfig /release on your local machine won't do a damn thing. Posted by: OregonMuse at April 19, 2009 08:47 PM (wQE87) 143

"IS BUSH SURRENDERING? Dreadful news today that the president may be wavering in his intent to destroy the Iraqi regime. If true, then those of us who have supported the war on terror need to revise our assessment of this president. He told the German press yesterday that there is no plan to invade on his desk. He said it almost proudly. His military leaders, in a sign of their determination to risk nothing and achieve nothing, are now leaking to the Washington Post that they have all but scotched a serious military option in Iraq. The arguments they are using sound like they might come from a Gore administration. After all that this president has said, after all that he has asked, a reversal on this central question would be nothing short of a staggering betrayal of trust, a reversal of will and determination. Of course, there should be no peremptory, rushed or botched war. Of course, all options should be examined. But the signs are unmistakable. This president, having begun as an improvement on his father, is showing signs that he could end up as something even worse. It's time he heard from his supporters that this is a critical matter on which there can be no compromise. If he balks, it will be worse than his father's betrayal on taxes. It will be a betrayal of the very security of the American people."

The funniest part is that O is your ideological kin, but the demands of your implacable beliefs require a dialectically perfect enemy.
