I've skimmed the Bybee/Zubaydah memo and all I get from it (beyond how planned and monitored this all was) is that Zubaydah essentially passed part of the military's SERE program.

Good to see Beck call out Charles. He really has gone off the deep end. I was a "lizard" since the 2004 election. Couple of months ago he was trashing "Christians"" and Ann Coulter and I remarked something like I believed in some kind of higher power and he deleted my comment and ripped me a new one. I asked to close my blog rights and he was happy to comply.I have to tell you I was one of the most non-confrontational people there. I think, by the way that Sharmuta is actually Charles.

Don't you know this will constitute one of the "half dozen hate emails" the mighty Chas will receive today? For shame.... Seriously, I'd not been on LGF in a few years now. The site was not bad, but at that time it was like "all Israeli/Palestinian conflict/Muzzie terrorists, all the time" and after a while, it got kind of boring. As in, can't we talk about anything else?. So after hearing all this recent stuff about Johnson, I go take a peek and damned if the boy didn't find something else to talk about. Now it's "all creationists/Ron Paul loons/rightwing crazies, all the time", with a strong mix of "oh, look they are saying MEAN things about I, King Charles the Johnson". And naturally he's doing the classic lefty blogger thing of "agree with Me or be kicked and banned". The inmates have indeed taken over the asylum... Beck also lit off on the “greed” meme for causing a lot of our problems and a weakness of capitalism. His guest tried to straighten him out on this but he continued. The only example he could give was Maddoff. It just made me want to spit. Maddoff was an example> Maddoff was an example of fraud and theft and NOT capitalism.
He also seems to go out of his way6 constantly to tar Republicans with the same “socialist” brush as the Dems. This is bullshit and he knows it. Sure we have some bad apples like the ones from Maine and PA but they are the “few” RINOs. You can tell that even Fox has been calibrated since El Duce took office. Fair and balanced; bullshit. Like I said this morning, Fox IS left of center and if we had WWII going now they would invite the Gestapo on to debate putting people in ovens to be fair and balanced. @60 Butters Stotch
True story: At the gym one day in 2007, four late-HS/early college douchenozzles were lifting together. At the flat bench, they kept stacking plates and had three spotting with one in the normal spotting position and one each on either end of the bar. It was clear that the spotters were doing most of the lifting. At 315, the end spotters had trouble lifting the bar off the "benching" douchenozzle's chest, so the spotter at the head stepped forward to help lift the bar. In doing so, he put his crotch in the "benching" douchenozzle's face and did a little squat motion to get better purchase on the bar. I looked at my partner and said, "Power Teabag." Beck is conservative, but by no means a loyal member of the RNC. If it seems that he has been "going out of his way" to schmear on a few (R)'s, then it may or may not be due to subtle pressure to make sure he appears to be outside of the two-party system. I don't think he goes out of his way, though. He sees critters in Congress, same as we do, and is colorblind to whether they are red or blue. Posted by: reason at April 16, 2009 05:34 PM (5npD/) 70
Why is it no matter how shitty a day I am having, I can read the threads here and crack up laughing? I saw Beck slam Chuckles, it was great! LGF was ok in the beginning, but it is like Democratic Underground or HuffPo now. No Dissent! And the clip he was bitching about, the woman that says that about burning the books, (WTF is the big deal about that, anyway?), is not who they are clapping for. It is the guy talking. She says that book stuff right after he finishes talking and they had already started clapping for him. Charles doesn't like Beck, so he wants everyone else over there to hate him. What, everyone has to be a damn robot? I think HotAir is somewhat getting that way, but w/o the heavy banning. Plus, they never ditch the shitty trolls. Why is it that Ed and Michelle are letting Allah screw up HA? He's ok on some stuff, but he posts 9 million posts knocking Palin, Christians, and anyone who he thinks is to religiousy, but loves to post that c*nt Meghan McCain and that old c*nt Kathleen Parker. Dear Jaysus, If I wanted to read that stuff I would go to the Daily Beast.

I don't think he goes out of his way, though. He went out of his way today to make sure, and he emphasized it several times, the Republicans are just as bad as the Democrats. While that is true for a few Republicans it is certainly not true in general. I am slowly begining to veiw him as another Bill O'Reilly. He can be real good, and then all of a sudden he goes off on a tangent. It does illustrate one other thing though. The Republican Party MUST take back its brand name and the only way I see to start doing that is punish the RINOs like Spector, Snow, and the other. And it looks like they are not willing to do that. That report came right after one in which they said the liberals were now going after an actual POW camp in A-gann. So as soon as we pick them up it somehow becomes a “legal” issue and not a military one.
I have said this MANY times. As soon as the SCOTUS agreed to hear that case they should have taken every prisoner at GITMO out and shot them.
Then there would not be any new Boumediene precedent. Posted by: Vic at April 16, 2009 05:53 PM (f6os6) 75

I'm afraid I'm not really interested in reading any memos on this subject other than the following, admittedly unlikely, memo from W himself shortly after 9/11: THE WHITE HOUSE 09/13/01 From: POTUS (W) To: All Department Heads/Joint Chiefs of Staff/Cabinet Members Subject: Treatment of Al Qaeda FuckHoles Captured in Future Wars of Imperial Over-reach Liberation It has come to my attention that some of you are, shall we say, "distressed" at the thought that we might very soon capture some of our enemies on the battlefield and be forced to deal with them with pussy liberal lawyer-made rules and regs, rather than in the traditional method used by Americans, lo, these last two centuries (i.e., Kill First, Ask Questions After the Rubble Stops Bouncing). Let me assure you that the following are MY rules, which are completely valid under the Geneva Conventions, which as you all should know by now, allow immediate battlefield executions of all unlawful enemy combatants, as I have designated Al Qaeda, from Osama Bin Ladin all the way down to the 12 year old copy boy working at the local print shop for the Al Qaeda Times-Picayune in Swat, Pakistan. Indeed, these rules are also completely in accord with 3500 years of jurisprudence and action against piracy, a method of operation that is the primary one that is used by Al Qaeda. With this introduction, the RULES: 1. Kill All Terrorists, Wherever Found, Without Mercy. 2. Should You Somehow Fail To Kill Any Terrorist, and That Terrorist Shall Find Him/Herself Captured, That Terrorist Will Be Waterboarded Until He/She Reveals Quality Intelligence. 3. Once The Intelligence Value of The Captured Terrorist(s) is Exhausted, All Terrorists Will Be Fed to Starving Wart Hogs. 4. The Single Exception to The Foregoing Rules is That Osama Bin Ladin Is To Be Captured Alive, and Brought to Me in the White House. Bin Ladin's Gold Plated Balls Will Remain in a Jar On My Desk, and Handed Down to the Next President, and Bin Ladin Himself Will be Lobotomized and Given to Andrew Sullivan to Butt-Fuck to Death. Questions regarding these rules may be addressed to Darth Cheney. I assure you, he will not treat kindly with anyone lacking sufficient guts to carry out my orders. I believe if you will check the losses in Congress, a lot were due to democrat candidates being only slightly more conservative than the Republicans, some scandals, and local celebrity candidtes. The losses in Indiana were due to people blaming Congressmen for the state's decision to institute Daylight Savings Time, even though that had nothing to do with Congress. If we abandon the decent Republicans (of which there are far more than democrats by about an order of 100 to 1) we give them no incentive to do what we wish, and they will then pander to the left in order to get votes. The comprehensive piece of shit a year back tipped a lot of congress-vermins' hands. It's amazing how so few folks were willing to come out against that crap until it was determined they didn't have the votes to get it through. Really exposed the strategy of having *just* enough Rs flip so the law passes, while the rest rail against it. Kay Hutchinson was one of these, and really lowered my opinion of her, but she wasn't the only one by any means that was playing that game. A pox on both their houses! Fie! Fie, I say!

Vic, do you even remember the K-Street strategy? The Republicans deliberately used the same spendthrift strategy that Dems invented. Admittedly, they aren't as bad as the Dems, but as I mention, it is a matter of degree, not kind.
Ms. Marple, I'm not advocating abandoning good conservative Republicans. Heck, even I can live with a good deal of squishyness, depending on the state or district. But yeah, make an example of a couple, and we might see some better behavior. Arlen Specter being the prime example of a Republican whom the NRC needs to cut loose. I think discretionary spending on non war non defense spending doubled under GW.Yes many times it was the Dems and RINO's who passed these things with GW as cheerleader and of course not threatening a veto. The R's lost their way on spending because they didn't want to be disloyal to GW who was doing some good and necessary things and getting ripped constantly by a hostile press.Unfortunately GW was a big spender and they couldn't seem to oppose him when they needed to.He even used the press against his fellow Repubs(most forcefully on amnesty)despite how much shit they piled onto him.I like GW as a person and think he did a good job on national security but he was mostly a disaster for conservatives on many other issues.

steevey, I think you have the causality backwards. With the exception of MedicareD and NCLB, Bush didn't push for a lot of domestic spending. What he did do was acquiesce to a lot of Republican Congressional spending in order to secure the funding and support for the Iraq war. Still guilty, but more a sin of ommission than a sin of commission.
And I think a large part of the Republican spending was as a hedge against protest for the spending and support for the Iraq war. Posted by: XBradTC at April 16, 2009 06:42 PM (vzrxD) 106

So he comes off as the fucking dick that pokes at people, and when he get's poked back bitch's "why'd you poke me?" Now, Beck says that the woman in the vid was a leftist infiltrator. Charles makes the point that the claim "is unsupported by any real evidence." Chuck is showing himself. The Tea Parties were an sea of people, an orgy, if you will, gathered in the hot spring sun, glistening from sweat. Mothers with their children, with their ample bosoms from recent childbirth, holding signs about high taxes. Crowds of young men and women wearing t-shirts and tight jeans, some not wearing bras, united for a common cause. As they walked around peacefully chanting, you could see the passion in their body language. Human nature at its best, a community of free-flowing of estrogen and testosterone, you can literally feel the intercourse of dna in the air. I did manage to criticize CJ (without getting banned, at least so far) about his continuing efforts to try and link the Tea Party protests with the Paulbots. His evidence? A Paulian kook had a Tea Party website and was described in a TV interview as an organizer. Based on that, CJ keeps pushing the idea that he's a "main organizer" despite the contrary testimonials from many who attended. Not a word of support for the vast majority who had nothing to do with Paul or any other nutty types. It's one thing to express concern that fringe kooks will try to latch on and make the effort look bad, but it seems anything short of 100% ideological purity suddenly renders the whole thing unworthy of support. Seems he's gone the way that many issue advocates do- start with a worthy goal, but then keep expanding the scope until you start seeing the boogeyman behind every corner. I saw one woman overcome with a mixture of anger, happiness, and excitement she looked positively orgasmic. You could feel the tension as the demonstrators walked in rhythm with a focus similar to a group of sperm fighting their way up the vaginal canal to their ultimate destination after a sweet sweet hot sticky orgasm.

That "torture" would not have earned you a single confinement at The Citadel; just the stupid shit we did was far worse then this. Who do I get to sue?
------- It's a shame we got all of this blue-on-blue shit going on. Ace could use a little of Charles' internet fu, Charles needs a little of Ace's personality and fun, and Pamela looks better on TV then most. And I say this having been banned from LGF for advocating a parade instead of street theater as an effective form of conservative protest. johnson was a 9/11 convert. he's devolved just like a lot of people due to the fact we've been protected from serious injury from those who wish us ill. Unfortunately, he's become useful to the enemy in that he has convinced a decent number of people to distrust like minded patriots. but hey! he gets hits.
