What a typical thieving liberal mindset.  Everything is fine as long as you are getting a slice of the pie.  Sorry, Vagina Lady, that isn't how our minds work.  We would rather that the TAXPAYER KEEPS THE 50 BILLION to SPEND AS THEY SEE FIT.

48 Yeah, if I were Susan Roesgen I'd be applying to The One's Administration pretty quickly.  Sounds like she's really vying for the job.  Seriously, though, you could feel the bitchiness oozing from that broad immediately.  I wonder if her colleagues have trouble dealing with her.  I used to be a TV reporter in my 20's, and even then, in the small market where I worked, I could only stand to be friendly with the male reporters.  The women were beyond bitches.  I stayed away from them.

Posted by: Sassypants at April 16, 2009 12:33 PM (3m5R9)

49 Assman, I'm having a hard time locating links to some of the juicier things, but Slublog links to her packages on a church in New Orleans and the Bush=Satan package down the main page a ways.

Here are some of my experiences with her... the management at WDSU almost had to show her the door after she was so drunk covering Mardi Gras that she did her live hit with her tits hanging out. DSU routinely hired anchors who were arrested for a number of felonies, so this was relatively small.

My encounters with her- and I made a point of avoiding her when she was in the same newsroom with me- were mainly watching her bitch out her producers and news director because her puff pieces weren't the lead story, or bitching out a photographer on a live shot because she had audio problems, or bitching out an associate producer because the lead-in to her package wasn't dramatic enough.

59 Oh I have no doubt that Susan slept her way to the top.  I knew plenty of female reporters/anchors who did that.  Specifically women who leapt from a smallish market to a top 10 Owned and Operated network market affiliate, to Chicago and then national.  These broads get around, let me tell you.  And yeah, the really bitchy ones like Tm13rd mentioned, love to bitch out their producers for anything that goes wrong.  It's everyone else's fault but theirs.

Posted by: Sassypants at April 16, 2009 12:42 PM (3m5R9)

60 This is frightening to watch.  The networks watched the print journalists kiss up.  Where did it get them?  Seems we may see television "news" go the same route.  Walter Cronkite, the man who never showed his opinion but just reported the news, would be horrified.  Thsi woman is obviously, unabashedly a political hack and that appears to be what she believes is her job.  Anc CNN wants to know where the ratings went?  OOO and the hate for the itnernet was just unbelievable.  Do they want to believe that Americans are still watching them, and not getting all their news from the internet?  apparently, per a friend, something was said yesterday about the government being able to shut down the internet.  apparently a lot of main stream internet readers are upset?   Did anyone else hear anything about this?

In New Orleans, we call those "resume enhancers."

Another WDSU anchor, Norman Robinson, rolled his car piss drunk in the wee hours of the morning, and then while the police were questioning him, whipped out his dick and pissed right in front of them.

That wasn't enough to get him fired, either.

72 Among the most despicable comments directed at us by the left stream media was uttered by Anderson Cooper at CNN, specifically that we were too busy "tea bagging" to talk. If you are familiar with the work place laws against sexual harassment, you know that comments made like this in the work place are considered, by the EEOC, to create a sexually hostile environment which is illegal. I have learned that one of the best ways to fight the left is to use their own politically correct bureaucratic enforcment apparatus against them. Hence, my memo to Tom Johnson, President of CNN, (tom.johnson@cnn.com) protesting Cooper's comment - WITH COPY TO THE EEOC (info@eeoc.gov). Let's see what action the left's own thought police take against one of their own...

Mr. Johnson: You certainly must be aware that Mr. Cooper's obscene sexual reference constitutes the creation of a sexually hostile environment, in violation of Civil Rights Act prohibition against discrimination based on sex and EEOC guidelines prohibiting this conduct in the work place.
CNN is finally covering the tea parties - by attacking the participants. After anchor Anderson Cooper made an obscene sexual joke about attendees,

Thank you for not jumping all over me.  I learned about Cronkite in college and oddly enough, no one mentioned that, they just said he was a great journalist.  I thought I was referring to a great journalist who did not let hsi personal opinions get in the way.  The true way a journalist is supposed to be but no longer exists anymore.   thanks for the education though.  I see I have some hard core reading to do.   It is amazing the stuff the professors fail to tell you when they are doing an "exhaustive study" of a subject.

101 Assman @ 87

CNN used to take its marching orders from Saddam Hussein himself. They had to come clean about the arrangement after Baghdad fell in 2003, before it was discovered independently. I'm sure they are just fine taking orders from the US government now that the hated Bush is not in the Whitehouse.

103 While we're piling on, CNN commentator and former Clinton pimp Paul "The Forehead" Begala called the people attending Tea Parties "whining wimps."  Ted Turner must be so proud.

Posted by: Reiver at April 16, 2009 01:07 PM (Yi1Sk)

104 What strikes me about this video is the lack of respect both sides, CNN and tea-baggers, have for each other.  The CNN clip clearly demonstrates the bias of the reporter, her negative emotional response to the crowd, her elitist dismissal of their concerns, her paranoid assertion of a conspiracy theory involving Fox News, her lack of professionalism.

The bad news is that the anti-tax protestors look more like a mob than thoughtful patriots.  The guy with the baby rambled on too long.  He needed to say his point concisely in a sentence.  That's bad organization and coaching on the part of the protest organizers.  However, the disorganization and raw emotion of the protesters gives it authenticity.

The reporters contempt for the protestors was mostly implicit while the woman who called her stupid showed her contempt explicitly.  While I like the fact that the crowd does not respect the journalists, is ready to take them on face to face, and is not awed by them at all, name-calling like this will lose support.  There should be organizers who are coached in the goals of the protest, can spout them in sound bites, and can go toe-to-toe with the journalists in argument.  That last part is not that hard because reporters aren't that smart, but thoroughly indoctrinated in their lefty world view, overconfident, self-righteous, and assertive.

The other thing I see is that the lefty journalists are rattled by these protests, didn't see them coming, and don't know how to make them stop.  That is a good thing.

105 Hey guys-

I fired off an e-mail myself to  Roesgen's at-work account (I used to be part of the CNN collective, and no, I won't give it out) basically saying that I was professionally embarrassed by her on-air conduct, but firing off a bunch of e-mails to the main desk at CNN will only get to the poor intern at the assignment desk whose job it is to go through and throw away e-mails. Particularly if they're profanity-laden or spewing what they regard to be conservative boilerplate, they're not going to bother with them.

On the other hand, if you want to hit where it hurts, e-mail your local stations (as most local stations in the country are CNN affiliates) and politely ask them not to air Susan Roesgen packages from CNN, noting her unprofessional conduct as reason for your request. Then CC that to CNN's news directorship.

I don't suggest you threaten them, but if you must, offer to e-mail local advertisers and inform them that you will cease doing business with them if they continue to advertise with the station or with CNN.

Just as a matter of perspective- I worked the desk for way too long in my TV career, and when you're just doing your job (often through your teeth), you're going to get a lot more mileage out of these folks if you 1) note that the guy answering the phone won't be able to help you directly, and ask them who handles the complaints at the station, and 2) if you can offer reasoned critique of their product. They already know she's a bitch- they don't need that confirmed for them. It's entirely possible that the person you e-mail or talk to may agree with you completely, but I hung up on more than my share of folks with whom I agreed but just didn't want to listen to them rant. If you've ever heard Hannity's Hate Hotline clips on his show, most of the calls you get in TV sound like that too.

110 Jeff- no worries, brah... we'll make it happen.

Tantor, it is precisely because there was no internal organization handling all of these protests that there was no spokesperson. More to the point, no reporter is going to head out to find a spokesperson if they're looking to do a hostile, ridiculing report.

But your point is dead-on- the Tea Parties were not a hostile, angry protest in the fashion of the Left (at least the ones I saw). Anyone who's going to take on a reporter needs to be calm and composed.

And Reason, DSU's numbers in New Orleans are consistently poor... bad management, amateurish talent, bad stories, and poor delivery all combine to make crap. It wouldn't matter if they were a paragon of virtue and truth for how bad their product is.

130 The 50 billion in stimulus is so crazy.  She really doesn't get it.

The American is servicing the debt on the money they lend AND the money they borrow.

Half the Deal: American Taxpayer
1) Fed Prints the money
2) Treasury receives the money
3) Treasury gives it to Congress
4) Congress spends it
5) Treasury issues debt securities to pay for it.
6) Americans through their federal government service the interest on the debt.

The other half of the deal: American Merchant/Commercial owner/business/etc
1) Borrow the money from the bank at 5% interest if you're lucky
2) Allocate the loan capital
3) service the interest on the loan and repay the loan

You're getting slapped on the left side of the face and then slapped on the right side of the face and told that both slaps are good for you.

It goes without saying that you're a mealy-mouthed leftwingnut CNN hack who thought she could stick her microphone in a patriot’s face and intimidate him. No dice.

Congratulations, Roesgen. Take a good look at your behavior and you’ll see why CNN's ratings are in the toilet.

The MSM largely ignored the protests because they weren’t comprised of left-over unemployed 60’s radicals burning George W. Bush and Dick Cheney in effigy. When you’re talking about a 21st century Tea Party movement representing millions of people who’ve never protested before, or rarely protested, that’s something that makes the liberal media shit their pants. They’d rather ignore it than acknowlege it, or simply insult those who take a stand against THE ONE they helped put into office.

The socialist-in-chief has gone too far and the masses are pissed.   Brace yourself, sweetpea.  There's more protests to come.

El Duce is pushing for ratification of this treaty: Inter-American Convention Against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, and Other Related Materials

Tis treaty has been around since the Clinton days but the Senate doesn’t want to touch it. The big question is “What is the current court interpretation of treaties that violate the Constitution?”. At one time the courts took the position that a ratified treaty was the equivalent of an amendment even though it did not go through all the processes that an amendment did and it is obvious that the founders did not have that intent.

It appears that the Bambi may be trying to do an end-run around congress and the Constitution by getting a treaty to nullify the 2nd amendment.

162 People don't understand grudge sex. It's not about disagreement, people who just disagree just simmer and sabotage each other and it never works. You either agree and support each other, and it works, or you slam up against each other with irreconcilable, incandescent rage, and there's no working, no trust, no relationship, just near-homicidal passion. You just set one ground rule - sex is the only weapon you can kill each other with, but you can try as hard as you like.

So on that subject, speaking of Susan Roesgen, yes, I would hit that so hard that whoever pulled me out would be crowned King of the Britons. And if she enjoys verbal abuse, she'll stay forever, 'cause I don't see ever running out.
