Census Head to Use "Community Organizing" Groups to Count (or... "Count") Illegal Aliens

The acting director of the U.S. Census Bureau, Thomas Mesenbourg, told CNSNews.com that the bureau intends to work with community organizations to make sure every illegal alien in the United States is counted in the 2010 Census.

Ah, not just sampling. Not even just counting illegal aliens. (It should be noted that the constitution seems to demand an accounting of all persons residing in a state, whether legal citizens or not.)

But now we'll be using ACORN and other groups with serious agendas to count illegals.

Maybe La Raza? I'm sure we can get an accurate count from them.

And then, just for shits and giggles, we'll "sample" the population on top of that.

1 the Constitution is pretty clear on this, but what does that matter?

2 So if we find 'em all then we can deport them all and let them reapply legally right??

3 What the hell happened? I expected to be unhappy with Obama, but I really feel like I've gone through the looking glass.

4 It's so simple. Why do all this deal making in the back room when you can just do it in public?

My guys went to jail trying to keep it a secret.

5 Shouldn't illegals be 3/5 for apportionment purposes?

Posted by: toby928 at April 03, 2009 02:46 PM (PD1tk)

6 I see no possible way this could go wrong.

Also what's the count going to be used for?

7 Hey, this is Pedro over at ACORN. I want to report some more citizens I just found sleeping under the viaduct at 18th and Western.

8 Also what's the count going to be used for?

Carnival Cruise give-aways. And free gas, too. Lots of free gas.

9 I suppose more "counting" than counting will occur. Can we request a do-over before the fact? I will "volunteer" to help.

Not a bad idea though. Out of work, frustrated with incoming Socialism? Go fuck with Acorn.

16 There ARE ways to fight this, even if the pussy Republicans won't fight it. Here's what I propose: If you live in a blue district, don't respond to the census-takers, and if you live in a red district, lie and tell them you've got 23 people living in your house.

19 Joe is right.
But I seem to recall a few posters telling us before the election that the take over of these enemies of the constitution would be breathtaking in the speed. They were right.
They have had this planned for quite some time.
They know they can get this rammed through if they do it fast enough that the population and their complicit media catch up and organize to stop them.
Also I think the birth certificate thing is legit and they want to get as much done as possible before there is a constitutional issue or the military decides He is not the CIC

21 17 I do hope the Republicans grow a pair of balls and sue to stop this before it starts.

I am REALLY starting to believe that the Rinos are in on this, not a tin foil hat thing, but looking back over the last few years there is just too much buy in to these government "plans" and seemingly fecklessness that I think is intentional.
McCain getting the nomination and not trying at all to get elected, I think the plan was for Palin to actually hurt his chances, I think it surprised everyone how much She was popular with the real Americans and traditional values.
It also explains why they have not relented on both sides the attacks on Her, She scares the powers that seem to control both parties and the Media

22 I happen to be working for the census here in Michigan and while community organizers were used to help bring people to recruiters for applications and testing the community organizers themselves are not being used as canvassers or enumerators. The use of community organizers getting volunteers to join the census 2010 was actually extremely helpful. The more people we have in local communities doing the census in those communities the more accurate the census will be. I think this story is probably being blown out of proportion personally, and I'm a die hard conservative, I just take offense to the notion that the census is going to be manipulated by people on the ground when I happen to be "the people on the ground".
I would be happy to answer any questions anyone has with regards to this topic.

Posted by: Hanover at April 03, 2009 03:55 PM (VkY9L)

23 Hanover; what you are missing is that when Obambi talks about "community organizers" he is talking about ACORN. The same ACORN that is widely known for voter fraud all over the country.
If ACORN gets involved with census taking in any form it WILL result in fraud in one form or another.
When the actual counting starts come back and tell us you have followed one of these people and it was honest.

Posted by: Vic at April 03, 2009 04:15 PM (f6os6)

24 What the fucking fuck???
OK - I'll ask again - at what point does the government become genuinely illegitimate? I think we need to know...

Posted by: Reactionary at April 03, 2009 04:40 PM (H7yZC)

25 Vic I don't think you understand how the census works.
We are currently in the canvassing stage, which is where crews go out and map plot every residence on hand held GPS computers. These are followed by canvass QC crews that check the accuracy rate of the canvassers by doing canvassing themselves over a certain percent of each area already done.
The census then takes all those residences as the database as to where to send the census forms.
The last part of the census is the door to door part for the people that failed to return the census forms they were mailed. They get interviewed in person where available.
There isn't really a step where a community organizer could fudge the numbers. The only part of the census where community organizers were used was like I said before, in the recruiting stage, and they were a very valuable asset.

Posted by: Hanover at April 03, 2009 04:52 PM (VkY9L)

26 Like I said, if ACORN gets involved there WILL be fraud. Any numbers can be fudged.

Posted by: Vic at April 03, 2009 05:07 PM (f6os6)

27 Outside of recruiting, there isn't really a step for ACORN to be involved in. It's not like they will be adding names or numbers to the database. If they have access to the database to the extent that they can manipulate numbers, then they have high up enough help that they wouldn't need the census to aid them.
It would be extremely hard to manipulate data at the field level and not have it raise red flags and be required to be qc'd by another group.
While the census won't be 100% accurate, after all it is an unbelievably huge undertaking, I think this story is alarmist and overblown.
Even if every person on every one of my crews was an ACORN plant, they still would not be able to manipulate the data, and if they did try to falsify information I would know about it immediately.

Posted by: Hanover at April 03, 2009 05:16 PM (VkY9L)

28 Outside of recruiting, there isn't really a step for ACORN to be involved
You are NOT paying attention. When the ONE wants ACORN involved in "counting" or fucking up the numbers the process WILL be changed.

Posted by: Vic at April 03, 2009 05:32 PM (f6os6)

29 If something is changed in our procedures between now and the end of the census that I think is untoward or that information is not being collected properly for some reason I will be the first to post it on this site. However, for now we are still using the procedures that were developed long before Obama was in charge of anything.
The way the census is currently being conducted there is little to no opportunity for ACORN to have any effect on it other than to make the people they represent be undercounted by telling them not to return their census forms or refusing to answer interview questions.

Posted by: Hanover at April 03, 2009 06:43 PM (VkY9L)

30 You are NOT paying attention. When the ONE wants ACORN involved in "counting" or fucking up the numbers the process WILL be changed.
Hanover is right, and you are not, #28. Planning for the 2010 census is over. Hiring of address canvassers is complete.
The address canvassing, GPS locationing and other stages Hanover mentions is locked in as "the process" nationally. The address cancassing phase will be finished in about two months.
Addressand GPS data will be used to generate amaster mailing list used to label forms the USPS will deliver. The forms will be computer-coded to ensure that one form only goes(and is received from) each address unit.
There's no "door-to-door" canvassing, no place where workers collect the forms directly from respondents.
I'm a canvasser myself, and the Bureau higher-ups I've come in contact here in a blue state are adamant that THEY want accurate address data and precise GPS locations.
This is the first time they've used hand-held computers and GPS data, and they want to get the process down pat. Canvassers, who are all part-time but fingerprinted and sworn in under oath, are warned not to mess with the data. Termination and fines await you if you do. That's been stressed during training, which is fairly rigorous.
For a conspiracy to take place, or for the Census data to be overriden w/o public knowledge, thousands of people would have to be "in on it", inboth The Bureau and the USPS.
If ACORN canvassers try to falsify data on their handhelds, for example, it would take a conspiracy of QC people to let them get away with it.
At higher levels within the Bureau career civil service people would have to allow their personal and professional reputations be trashed by their political masters. Not every government worker is a hack or craven Obamanoid.
So Yes, Obamadinehjad or his goons could try to override the results or fuck with them, but doing so will not go unnoticed or unchallenged.
And yes, maybe ACORN could seek to mess with the count by asking people to falsify their forms.
But I doubt many illegals will want to reply to the forms at all. Someone will then have to go out and find those folks, inasmuch as the Census has always been about counting "persons" and not determining their legal status. But that's no different from previous years.
ACORN member or no, I wouldn't want to be the one to wander through a cheesybuilding knocking on doors of apartments housing illegals, druggiesor suspicious poor people.
Anyone remember Eddie Murphy's animated series, "The PJs", and the ancient and palsied Mrs. Avery with a pump action shotgun on her hip?
