FiAF, Fun Plans Edition

Yeah, it's Fuck it All Friday again.

Just...quit trying to convince us that you're working at work today, OK?

Nobody believes you. There's a forest of pencils stuck in the ceiling tiles above your desk and you keep suspiciously closing browser tabs whenever someone approaches.

They know. Give up.

I got nothin'. Well nothin' one can't clear up with conventional antibiotics, anyway.

What are you fellow members of the Mongoloid Right up to this weekend? Any fun on the horizon?

Ya know, if you just migrated over to 6 terabytes of solid state drive arrays, that wouldn't be a problem. That still won't explain why one's undies are around the ankles, but I'm afraid SSD cannot do everything.

Not saying it's gonna be a LONG ride. But the temps should get into the 50s, and if I dress right, I should be okay. I have a new bike, and I need to get the feel of it before I take a long-ish trip at the end of April. (But the main thing is to consume some gas and pollute, so I can keep my "mongoloid right" card.)

56 Range time.

I'll do a few controlled pairs, and I'm going to try my scaled 14yd failure drills at two seconds from ready.  I've been hitting them consistently at three seconds for the last few trips.  I have to get some conventional strong-side hip holsters (only ones allowed at my range) to work actual draws into it.

I may take the 870 along, as well.  It's pricey to practice since they don't allow shot, and slugs run close to a dollar a shell.

Today, having in-laws over for their annual visit/cookout/hangover remedy competition. After a night they'll never remember, I'll send them back home to Illinois with a painful reminder of Florida. And a plastic pink flamingo thingy.

Saturday is a St. Patty's Day gig with my acoustic blues ensemble at a street party. Green beer! Makers' Mark! Followed by intense dreams about 24's Agent Walker dressed as a leprechaun helping me find that pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow. Followed by waking up naked in the back yard.

"How about an American bike? A burger burner?"

Back when I was young and had lots of disposable income to blow on my VW, the Civics with all the show but none of the go were "rice rockets."  The Cobalts and Cavaliers with the same treatment were "corn rockets."

Members of our own group who earned the right to be mocked and disparaged, had their cars referred to as "kraut rockets."

122 farmer joe, you riding a Triumph, or something older?  I've got the Kawasaki knockoff of the Triumph/BSA that they made for a few years around 2001, and its a nice ride.  What I'd LOVE to get is one of those Kenny Dreer Nortons.  All the coolness of the old school Nortons, with a fraction of the mechanical failures.  Of course, a BSA Gold Star would be a pimped ride, as would a Matchless G80, but those are strictly "I just won the Powerball" bikes for a schmuck like me.
