Ohio: 47% of Disqualified Provisional Ballots Disqualified Due to Voter Not Being an Ohio Resident

Just to be clear, that's 47% of those discarded, not 47% of all provisionals.

Hey, I've got an idea -- let's not prosecute any of them! So they'll be encouraged to do it next cycle! Indeed, with all the non-prosecuted fraud, we might see voter fraud increase exponentially!

Oh wait, they've already thought of that, haven't they?

Sigh. I always have these brilliant ideas which unfortunately someone already thought up.

I can't wait to here the spin "This is a small problem we don't need to address."

Oh wait -- we won't hear that spin either, because no one in the media is going to ask them.

1 Thanks Ace. Didnt mean to suggest that all ballots now counted but only those from november.
Remember that provisional ballots are only those that WERE challenged. So some others could have slipped through.

4 Nah, the "spin" is that these people were disenfranchised by Rush Limbaugh (and Sarah Palin's wardrobe) so they felt they had no recourse but to vote illegally.

Or something.

9 Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner says voters cast about 207,000 provisional ballots About 167,000 were counted.

So that is 33,000 werent counted with 47% of those being non Ohio Residents.

roughly 15510 votes were non Ohio Residents.

Posted by: William Amos at March 06, 2009 07:57 PM (sB+4W)

10 Opps was off by 7000 votes
hould have been 40,000 votes werent counted.
18800 out of 40,000 were non Ohio Residents.

That's a lot of ACORN busses. Maybe they borrowed the busses from Ray Nagin, since they were never used and all.

12 But wait, then it says 36% were in the wrong area of Ohio.

Doesn't that mean 83% were illegal?

13 Gee, if the Big O keeps losing his supporters, maybe we just might start see some of this gain traction, otherwise the GOP better take notice and see how the enemy is using ACORN and other groups and begin to combat this in every single state. Until the MSM covers it, it is a dead story. Sad but true.

14 Doesn't that mean 83% were illegal?
Actually 100% of those thrown out were illegal. Just different reasons that 40,000 were rejected.
The whole point is that only 3.6% of all ballots were even challenged. Could more have slipped through ?

15 Hold your horses there folks. What the article says is that 47% weren't registered in Ohio. While I'm sure a significant number weren't Ohio residents, most were probably dumbfucks who did live there butthought they were somehow registered despite not having filled out the forms required for registration. I was working the polls in another state and we had plenty of people in the latter category.

16 WTF? Do we have to go back to when only "propertied" people could vote?...How about a sliding scale, whereas, your income is tied to the number of ballots you can cast?
You're on the welfares..fuck you, no vote for you. Until only stakeholders get a proportionate influence this will only get worse....Ok, I get 3 votes, the whole local hood gets 7, and Montgomery Burns gets 3,000

24 Gosh, bad as it is, there seems to be some deliberate misunderstanding in the comments. An Ohio "provisional" ballot is not a "challenged" ballot--it's for people who have just registered. Then some magical research is done to prove eligibility, and if it checks out the ballot is counted. So 47% of the provisionalsthat were discarded were from out-and-out cheats. 36% of those discarded were from voters who were trying to vote in the wrong precinct--possibly out of ignorance, but. in terms of local election issues, highly suspect.
This does not address those who got away with it--registered in advance with false ID, voted provisionally but"proved" faked residency to state standards, used fake ID to vote multiple times, and whatever else goes on.
The statistic is only forone special category. An abnormally large special category, that ought to be setting off alarms from coast to coast. Jennifer Brunner knows precisely how much back tax Joe Werzelbacher owes.

27 ACORN was at the core of this whole fucking mess but I blame the candy ass state Republicans for doing nothing.
Even Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien (usually a reliable R) dropped charges against a group of 20 or so out-of-state poli-sci students who took up residence in a small house on the East side and voted for Ofuckwit.
Gave them a finger wagging reprimand and let them go!
What the fuck? Why are we being nice guys? Nice guys finish last, remember?
Bully them, ridicule them, call them pussies and when they whine that our criticism is unfair, REALLY unload on them!

Shouldn't they publish WHO the illegal voters voted for?

A couple of elections ago a NY paper cross referenced FL/NY voters and came up with 400+ double voters in Palm Beach county. Of course there were no prosecutions. The split in registrations however was around 60% democrat 40% republican.

Most pleaded stupidity when questioned about their double voting. A small handful were militantly insistent they'd done nothing wrong.

32 The election fraud is getting worse every year. It's bad enough that we are burdened with the horrific mistake that is "universal suffrage" -which is unbearable suffrage indeed. The idea that a welfare leech and her manifold spawn should each hold a vote of equal power to mine, or any other moron posting on this site, is a vile travesty. Nowthe systemgives thevermin 2or more votes each!? Where oh where is cholera when we need it? I sure wish the Liberals would launch their "chlorine-free drinking water" plan in the slums of Detroit and other US hell holes. That would help rectify all this mess, especially if combined with extra rations of peanut butter and Chinese tooth paste baby food. Of course, at least the welfare scum are citizens. The DemoRats also register every illegal alien they can find - beating every bush and checking under every rock to find warm bodies to stuff the ballot boxes.
They're driving us to a point where a sizeable portion of the elections will be illegitimate. When the elections are illegitimate, then the State is illegitimate. Those who attempt towin power through such fraud are stinking traitors, and deserve a traitor's death. They are willfully destroying the best Republic the world has ever seen. They're bringing down a force for good in the world that surpasses even the British Empirein terms of itsstout defense of civilization. One must wonder - at what point do we have to conclude that a sufficient number of our rulershold power in violation ofthe constitution that we are compelled to resist them? After all - the authority of theConstitution of the United States trumps any person, party, or apparatus of the state. Whether judged by God's law or byman's,defending itagainst usurpers is wholly justified.

33 I think that if carefully investigated, Americans will find that where ever ACORN planted it's muddy feet, they will find electoral violations in this passed Presidential election.
Ohio is just but one of the states tainted by Obama's ACORNS. Look at any state that was important to the election of Obama and dollars to donuts you will find ACORN skulldrudgery.
A good example is Minnesota and Franken.

Other reasons cited by county elections boards for rejecting provisional ballots included failure to provide identification required by state law, the lack of a voter's signature on the provisional-ballot envelope, and the voter having already cast a ballot.
Provisional voting is expected to be a key topic at the two-day Ohio Elections Conference that Brunner plans in Columbus on Thursday and Friday to discuss how to improve state elections.
Lawrence County had the highest percentage of rejected ballots in the state at 38 percent, followed by Adams County at 37 percent. The major reason that ballots were rejected in those counties was failure to provide adequate identification.

41 While standing in line to vote last November, a few of us decided to try and see who we thought might have been illegal voters. It actually wasnt very hard. In the 1/2 hour we stood on line, we counted 35 "voters" that even Democrats could see were suspect. This was in 1 location in Ohio. If 1 "voter" a minute was voting illegally in this precinct, imagine the damage that was done. If Jennifer Brunner is too busy to do anything about this , how about finding someone who isnt?

Posted by: Rick554 at March 07, 2009 07:47 AM (1kwr2)

42 Ah yes, Jennifer Brunner. Our illustrious Democratic Ohio Secretary of State abetted ACORN voter frauds by forcing elections officials to accept absentee ballots and voter registrations, even though they were riddled with discrepancies. She issued a directive that forbid them to challenge voter eligibility when personal information from new voters didn't match state motor vehicle or federal Social Security records in an automatic computer check.
This opened the flood gates for ACORN's illicit activities to go unchecked.
She's back like a Obama voter at their 2nd polling station.

COLUMBUS -- Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner is turning to the Web to make her announcement that she is officially entering the race for the U.S. Senate seat. She made the announcement around 2 P.M. through a video on a new campaign Web site.
http://tinyurl.com/d9h2jg
She violated federal and state law to rig the election in Ohio for THE ONE, and was never investigated.
I wonder how many ACORN registrations she'll get?

47 Never attribute to malice what can be attributed to abject stupidity. "Whut, you mean I have to register again, just because I moved from West Virginia? I'm still in America, ain't I?"

If there were a systematic attempt to double-vote, I'd expect to see more ballots disqualified for non-residency in Toledo and Cincy than in Columbus or Cleveland. There's no use driving the bus farther than you have to.
