Chavez Delays Valentine's Day for Referendum, Promises a Whole Week of Lovin Starting Monday

I'm guessing this plan goes in the shitter if they don't make him dictator emeritus.

(I know. Sometimes I have the jones for Chavez. He's my favorite commie clown and I love him. Also he's like Mr. Potato Head.)

The voting fraud begins today, and then the lovin begins.

In return, Chavez promises a "week of love" beginning the next day -- assuming he wins the vote, which would let public officials run for re-election as many times as they want.
"We're going to be in battle," Chavez said. "After achieving our great victory, the week of love begins."

He shut down liquor sales on Friday, so people could be contemplative and serious today, and do their patriotic duty. And while he did promise a week of hot, steamy socialist action after today, he was characteristically short on detail.

Some citizens pine for the good old days.

Manuel Diaz, a 36-year-old businessman, said that prompted him to cancel plans for a romantic dinner with his girlfriend of two years.
"You should be sharing with your partner, going to eat at a restaurant, and then, well..." he said, trailing off. "I myself shall fantasize about a very romantic dinner, then I will masturbate myself to sleep, and wake up refreshed to go vote."

FN might have messed up the translation there a bit.

The M-9 does appear to be sold out everywhere. As for me, I have never been impressed with the 9 mm cartridge. I have a Colt M1991A1 .45 acp that I love. Gunbroker.com has one that is currently bidding for $750.00.

HA! good point Dave. We basically are getting guns for home protection, a shotgun was recommended for a woman alone in the home so the Stephens was a good choice for a mechanitard like me. Plus I'm a hillbilly so I'm all over the shotgun thing. I love it so far; simple, not too many workin parts. Kinda heavy tho, I may have to bench press some hobos to build upper arm strength.

20 FWIW, because I'm no gun expert by any stretch of the imagination, I'd long heard that the Colt M1911 .45 was a "sloppy" gun to shoot. When I fired my buddy's, I was astonished at the tight group I shot at around 25 feet, especially considering that I'm not all that great a shot with handguns.

#22 Evil, that was a POS article and I'm glad I didn't have to listen to him give the speech. He made some valid points but then drew the wrong conclusions from them. His starting premise was wrong. Yes, the USA and USSR were/are superpowers. But to compare the two without drawing the distinction between the political systems of the two and then believing we will go the same way is ridiculous. Personally, while the USSR may be gone, the core of that system, Mother Russia, remains a superpower. And they are about to flex their muscle again.

People are going to get real tired, real fast of this daily dose of pessimism that The One and this guy peddles. This is still a great country no matter how befowled its become with liberals, democrats and RINOs smearing their feces every place they go. And yes, it's going to get even more stinky and messy in the next four years. I think the flexing of Russia's muscles is going to be a bit more difficult with the low prices for oil. They have been living on an extraction economy for sometime (made in Russia isn't exactly a sign of the highest quality in manufactured goods) and their strength ebbs and flows with that.
