Father Of Murdered USS Cole Sailor: Why I Refused To Meet With Obama [Vinnie]

Why attend a meeting when you already know the inevitable outcome. And President Obama has already signed the order to close Gitmo, and a request to stop the trials. Which they did. With only one judge who had the strength, courage and conviction to stand up for the murdered sailors and say that al-nashiri's arraignment would go forward. So anyway I asked the aide if he would please get my letter to Obama instead. He said he would if I faxed it. I had wrote Obama a letter the previous week pleading with him to change his mind. I faxed the letter later that same day. I knew that I would have to tell my wife later on when we got home that our murdered son's trail had become a victim of petty politics. And that she would be upset and hurt yet again.

I know that Gabriel Malor posted about this last night, but I thought it important that you be able to read the words of an actual family member who is suffering from this travesty.

I've had the good fortune to speak with Gary in the past. He's a good man and he and his family do not deserve this treatment from our government. This isn't about left or right, it's about right and wrong. And this is just wrong.

My blood boils because of this decision, but my heart breaks for Gary and the rest of the Cole families. And all the other families out there who probably won't see justice done for other terrorist atrocities.

I can't say I'm surprised, but disgusted nonetheless. My heart goes out to Gary and his family, along with all of the other families and friends affected by the Cole bombing. I've noticed that Chairman O, while making a massive power grab along with his fellow Marxists in Congress, is also quickly dismantling the traditions of the Office of President. Not saluting Marines who standby on Air Force One, etc., 'Hail to the Chief' replaced with 'Desert Rose', lax dress code in oval office, late to all appointments, etc.

I guess he's going to 'Rebuild' the Office of President in his own 'Image'. What a schmuck. And a very dangerous one at that.

13 I know the man who was the Command Master Chief on board the Cole (Jim Parlier) when she was attacked (FYI - he was the senior enlisted person, advisor to the CO of the ship on enlisted matters). He was still affected by the attack years later...he lost Sailors on board the Cole, and was bitter towards Navy leadership when the CO was not promoted (some of the Admirals held him accountable for the attack, even though they did not get any updated intel on problems in Yemen befoer they arrived).

The Intel community, Clinton Administration and the Navy fucked up before and after the attack...the bullshit that the Navy Brass put the CO, XO and CMC through (fuck, the senior enlisted guy in the Navy at the time didn't even bother to call/talk with Jim to see if he or the enlisted Sailors needed anything, even after the loss of shipmates). I hate the goddamn beltway bandits that don't care about anything outside of DC!

And now for Barry to do this shit...why? Give the families of the Cole and 9/11 some sense of closure, you fuckwad...they conspired and killed AMERICANS, and you think they need "justice"...GIVE THE FAMILIES OF THE COLE AND 9/11 SOME FUCKING CLOSURE !
