Yes, that's certainly the spin. But he spends twenty full seconds explaining exactly what his mistake was not, and then a few seconds (discounting the polka music, which may or may not have been part of the original interview, and I'm far too busy to check) with a totally nonsensical admission of a mistake about double standards, which mistake he apparently does not intend to correct.
