One thing I pointed out is this state has a large number of independents who usually tip the vote and Corzine is getting crushed by 29 points among them. Gubernatorial races are notoriously close here and Corzine is quite unpopular at this time. After two terms of him and McGreevey (and his successor), it may well be the voters have had enough. We still have enough strong GOP areas.

Christie is going to be a good candidate.

Corzine is a pompous ass, but a rich pompous ass, and that is a huge advantage. And while he is perceived as a sleeze (he was banging a union bigwig, paid for her condo AFAIK), he is not seen as particularly corrupt.

That being said, anyone who isn't Corzine has my vote.
