Whopsie! Daschle's Tax Problems Are More Extensive Than First Thought

Looks like Daschle has a bigger problem than not paying taxes on the gift of a car and driver.

He didn't report consulting income and claimed charitable contributions that didn't qualify. All in all he had to pony up an extra $140,000 in payments and interest.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Obama won't be damaged by these individual incidents but this just one more "paper cut" that a year or two from now, when taken in aggregate with all of his other crap, will cause him some trouble. Someone mentioned that this was intentional to rid O of possible rivals; I don't think so, this is just pure incompetence from O and his staff not being up to a job; all with a little help from a fawning media.
