Hope and Change: Obama Demands Pentagon Cut Ten Percent from Budget

And yet there's all this money for condoms and bee insurance, apparently.

Stimulus? Oh yes, very much stimulus.

Looking for a link now; just saw it on FoxNews.

This is the best I can offer at the moment.

Did I Say 10%? Make that 11%.

Heres how it works...this is not arguable:

Obama gives money to people who dont pay taxes (I.E. Subhuman Cockroaches)------------------------->

These people use their "stimulus" money to buy drugs, buy crowbars to break into houses, and screwdrivers to steal cars --------->

Obama has to raise more money to pay for cops to pay for the more efficient criminals he has created ------>

Cop money instead gets appropriated to create socialistic programs for subhuman cockroaches -------------->

My wallet gets tighter because Im paying for the criminals I spend my time fighting.

Thanks Obama. Lets take the money from the only heroic organization left in the world, our military, whose mission is more noble than anything undertaken in the past thousand years; and give it to the subhuman poor.

22 Now is the perfect time to cut the military.

SEOUL (AP) — North Korea said Friday it is ditching a non-aggression pact and all other peace agreements with South Korea, in an apparent attempt to use the threat of an armed clash to press Seoul to give up its "confrontational" stance.

The communist nation also said it will no longer respect a disputed sea border with the South, raising the prospect for an armed clash along the Yellow Sea boundary — the scene of deadly skirmishes between the two navies in 1999 and 2002.

Ohhh look out Barry has strong language for them.

WASHINGTON (AFP) – The United States said Friday that North Korea's "rhetoric is distinctly not helpful" after Pyongyang announced it scrapped agreements with South Korea on easing military tensions.

23 DefenseAlert, Jan. 30, 2009 -- The Obama administration has directed the Defense Department to pare back the fiscal year 2010 budget package prepared last year by the Pentagon, which added more than $60 billion -- including nearly $20 billion for weapon systems and modernization efforts -- to the spending plan before President Bush left office, according to Pentagon officials.

As Obama drafts his valentine to Imadinnerjacket, close on the heels of the “I am a Muslim” interview (borrowed from Gandhi), I am struck by the connection to Carter theory. But we ought to be careful about which non-violent leaders we copy, and when - Martin Luther King’s tactics being effective here but hardly likely to work under Stalin, Mao or in today’s Iran.

Clinton, one might remember, exerted considerable legacy-building sweat trying to get Arafat to agree to that which he could never do, even as a bigger club were used on Israel and Arafat offered billions more. Arafat, it was finally realized, was a terrorist and a crook, even when given Clinton’s best red carpet treatment. (Realized by most I mean).

But I can’t help thinking that Obama would be singing him songs were he still alive.

So, the question of the day is: “Can Liberals learn?”

These days we are buried under the avalanche of liberal Socialist programs, a new one coming once an hour. New union rules, steel protectionism, health care, Acorn billions, COBRA extensions paid by us, Medicaid extension paid by us, “Tax cuts” for those who don’t pay taxes, smoking taxes, driving taxes, salt taxes, Global Warming curbs, “new” energy, alms for the poor, alms for the poor…

Each one more misguided than the last and now we begin to kill the military, again. Carter, it might be remembered, ran the military down so low we could not make repairs to aircraft or afford bullets. It is enough to cause involuntary grinding of teeth. The fact that these programs have failed each and every time they have been tried gives us evidence toward the answer to the question of the day. Ask me about it, I live in Michigan.

But I am most reminded of my grandfather, RIP, who would react in visible anger each time FDR’s name was mentioned. His eyes would get red. He would fidget, swear, and mumble, long after FDR had passed.

And I am just now starting to get a full understanding of it.

40 On Friday, the North's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea — a ruling communist party organ in charge of ties with Seoul — declared all past peacekeeping accords with the South "dead," claiming Lee was escalating tensions.

"The group of traitors has already reduced all the agreements reached between the North and the South in the past to dead documents," the committee said in a statement carried by the state-run Korean Central News Agency.

Sounds like peaceful language to me.

Both Koreas are watching to see how Obama's North Korea policy takes shape.

Gutless would be a word to describe it. But wait....

After eight years of icy relations with the Bush administration, North Korea hopes to have improved ties with Obama, analysts say. Obama has said he would be willing to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Il if it advances the effort to disarm the North of its nuclear capabilities.

It's all George Bush's fault. What a surprise from the AP.

Somehow I suspect there's a lot more "distinctly unhelpful" rhetoric in our future.

I realize liberals embrace the idea that a good day will be when "schools have enough money and the military will have to hold a bake sale to build a bomber" (and, God help me, for a time in the 90s when I was a confused liberal I actually owned that shirt, I'm sorry, I'm on my knees in apology now) but in actuality that will not be a good day, because that will be the day that the schools will need that money to re-build after getting bombed to hell and back by our emboldened enemies.

How come liberals never think of defense spending as "stimulative"? Answer me THAT, damnit!

Indeed! Even if a stimulus package is needed, Defense spending is THE ULTIMATE stimulus package. Why?
1. It's often high-tech
2. It's more often than not manufacturing oriented
3. When #1 and #2 don't apply, it's infrastructure and construction oriented
(examples include communication networks, interstate highways, strategic
petroleum reserves)
4. Spin off technologies hit the civilian markets, from teflon to the
internet
5. It's 100% made in the USA, by law, for national security reasons.
British, Israeli, Japanese, and other foreign companies who do occasionally
win defense contracts must produce the goods under license in the USA with
American subcontractors.

Hey look - there's no Soviet Union any more! The Red Threat is gone! There's no real enemies out there anymore! It's time to.........spend our peace dividend!

So he eliminated entire divisions from our military, gutted alot of the spending on HumInt (Human Intelligence - i.e., boots on the ground that spy for us, for the uninitiated) the world over.

Obama's doing this with a war on.

It's going to be a colossal tragedy, but it's going to happen. It may be the only thing to snap *some* of these idiots back into reality.

I feel this as well. The "O" is gathering a perfect storm for this to happen which I believe has already been planned in advanced. Remember, Al Queda, et.al. are very patient. They wait for the right moment. I fear that the next attack will make 9/11 look like a tip-toe thru the tulips.

And would you care to lay odds that any other government department will be similarly affected?

No. Of course they won't.

Why this reluctance to believe that a leftist will cut defense? It is what they do.

I don't believe that they would actually cut it, no. They would cut rates of growth over a number of years until it is a smaller piece of the pie.

This is still retarded, because--as noted above by someone else--this is cutting funding that is going to actual jobs that actually exist, much of it very highly paid word... it isn't some theoretical bullshit that might help in 2011.

Tomorrow Iraq, the only true arab democracy, is having its third national elections. Remember the purple fingers of a few years ago, all the trials our country has gone through to get there? The blood and treasure spent to bring democracy to a dark corner of the world?....Nothing, absolutely nothing on msnbc, cnn, or even drudge for that matter. Its even hidden on the corner of foxnews.

Guys this is historic. Their first election without training wheels thanks to the hero of the past 8 years, President Bush. Imagine what the world would be like if his knees buckled like this twit who is current in charge will. "Oh 58% of Americans think I should wear a red tie to dinner...sounds like a good idea." Welcome to the age of moral relativity and no convictions. Sure Bush had serious issues on spending and immigration, but were gonna miss his will to do the right thing, not the popular thing. Now all we have is some two-bit crack dealer from Chi-town running our country.

We've got a guy who wants to outspend through deficits even the profligate GWB. Perhaps by triple the amount. He's closing Gitmo and probably bringing prisoners and terrorists here. He's apologizing for the evil of this country on Saudi Arabian television. He's pouring cash into every Democrats' dream pet program imaginable. But he is willing to cut one thing... the military, even as he lied and will keep troops in Iraq on a shoestring, and pour more into Afghanistan... on a cut-rate budget as well.

168 This is stupid. From a purely political point of view, Obama picked a fight with Rush, with Conservatives, with Republicans, in his first week. Now he wants to cut the military 11%, or gut it, killing lots of defense contracts as well as eliminating positions ... in a depression.

While nuclear threats abound. All it takes is one attack on the US, and Republicans can and will (no reason not to) attack Obama for being a Muslim who cut the military first time he could. Along with letting the Gitmo terrorists out, and handing out condoms to Kindergartners, that sort of thing.

Obama seems to think that unlike every other President, he can magically have high approval ratings once he decides things one way or another, and that his Muslim background gives him all sorts of slack with the American people on Defense.

Believe me, the powerful contractors (Raytheon, Lockheed, Boeing, etc.) that get hosed in this deal are not going to just pick up the Little Blue Book of quotations from Obama and sing his praises. There will be 527s aplenty. All to make his liberal-left pals happy, with no payout.

He's DETERMINED (along with his attempt to get the military to swear a personal oath to him not the Constitution, currently a rumor but probably a nutty idea from his Wife) to pick a fight with the one institution that America holds in high esteem. In a time of war. And Depression. With a side-order of a big fight with Defense contractors who NEVER stop fighting for programs.

And who, have, by the way, lots and lots of employment in Democratic Districts. How's about an attack ad: Representative Demo-Dummy and Obama the Muslim cut the Defense dept. and 10,000 jobs in your district. Vote Republican Candidate A!

It's stupid. Obama and his team don't even have Clinton level competence in governing.

I expect his approval ratings to drop like a stone. Oh women will still love him (he is after all the uber-celebrity) but men will hate the guy like a non-stop showing of the View.

And can the Republicans make enough of a showing against this insane Democrat congress that we have hopes for a revolution in 2010? This week they're doing pretty good.

Hoss Fuentes, you have the quote wrong....Quit taking the bullshit movie quote and read it in its true context. Over the past 2 months there has been nobody I have identified with more. If Rorschach in the movie isnt nearly as conservative as he is in the novel Im gonna be pissed. Its absolutely brilliant.

Here it is...

"This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!' And I'll look down, and whisper 'no.' They had a choice, all of them. They could have followed in the footsteps of good men like my father, or President Truman. Decent men, who believed in a day's work for a day's pay. Instead they followed the droppings of lechers and communists and didn't realize that the trail led over a precipice until it was too late. Don't tell me they didn't have a choice. Now the whole world stands on the brink, staring down into bloody hell, all those liberals and intellectuals and smooth-talkers, and all of a sudden nobody can think of anything to say.

Someone sent me this as a forwarded email today. I do not know if it is true or not, but it is a good allagory for Barack’s stimulus plan and the law of unintended consequences. Yeah it is long, but it is also pretty funny:

We have the standard 8 foot wooden fence in the backyard, and a few months
ago, I heard about burglaries increasing dramatically in the entire city.

To make sure this never happened to me, I got an electric fence and ran a
single wire along the top of the fence. Actually, I got the biggest cattle
charger Tractor Supply had, made for 26 miles of fence.

I then used an 8 ft. long ground rod, driven 7.5 feet into the ground. The
ground rod is the key, with the more you have in the ground, the better the
fence works.

One day I’m mowing the back yard with my big wheel push mower. The hot wire
is broken and laying out in the yard. I knew for a fact that I unplugged
the charger. I pushed the mower around the wire and reached down to grab
it, to throw it out of the way. It seems as though I hadn’t remembered to
unplug it after all.

Now I’m standing there, I’ve got the running lawn mower in my right hand
and the 1.7 gigavolt fence wire in the other hand. Keep in mind the charger
is about the size of a marine battery and has a picture of an upside down
cow on fire on the cover.

Time stood still. The first thing I notice is my balls trying to climb up
the front side of my body. My ears curled downwards and I could feel the
lawn mower ignition firing in the backside of my brain. Every time that
Briggs & Stratton rolled over, I could feel the spark in my head. I was
literally at one with the engine. It seems as though the fence charger and
the POS lawn mower were fighting over which would control my electrical
impulses.

Science says one cannot crap, pee, and get a nut at the same time. I beg to
differ. Not only did I do all three at once, but my bowels emptied 3
different times in less than half of a second. It was a Matrix kind of
bowel movement, where time is creeping along and you’re all leaned back and
BAM! BAM! BAM! you just crap your pants 3 times. It seemed like there were
minutes in between but in reality it was so close together it was like
exhaust pulses from a big block Chevy turning 8 grand.

At this point I’m about 30 minutes (maybe 2 seconds) into holding onto the
fence wire. My hand is wrapped around the wire palm down so I cant let go.
I grew up on a farm so I know all about electric fences… but Dad always
had those crappy chargers made by International or whoever that were like 9
volts and just kinda tickled. This I could not let go of. The 8 foot long
ground rod is now accepting signals from me through the permadamp
Ark-La-Tex river bottom soil. At this point I’m thinking I’m going to have
to just man up and take it, until the lawn mower runs out of gas.

‘Damn!,’ I think, as I remember I just filled the tank! Now the lawn mower
is starting to run rough. It has settled into a loping run pattern as if it
had some kind of big lawn mower race cam in it. Covered in poop, pee, jizz,
and with my balls on my chest I think ‘Oh God please die… pleeeeze die’.
But nooooo, it settles into the rough lumpy cam idle nicely and remains
there, like a big bore roller cam EFI motor waiting for the go command from
its owner’s right foot.

So here I am in the middle of July, 104 degrees, 80% humidity, standing in
my own backyard, begging God to kill me. God did not take me that day… he
left me there covered in my own fluids to writhe in the misery my own
stupidity had created.

I honestly don’t know how I got loose from the wire… I woke up laying on
the ground hours later. The lawn mower was beside me, out of gas. It was
later on in the day and I was sunburned. There were two large dead grass
spots where I had been standing, and then another long skinny dead spot
were the wire had layed while I was on the ground still holding on to it.

I assume I finally had a seizure and in the resulting thrashing had somehow
let go of the wire. Upon waking from my electrically induced sleep I
realized a few things.

1- Three of my teeth seem to have melted.

2- I now have cramps in the bottoms of my feet and in my right butt cheek
(not the left, just the right).

3- Poop, pee, and semen when all mixed together, really do not smell as bad
as you might first think.

4- My left eye will not open.

5- My right eye will not close.

6- The lawn mower runs like a son-of-a-bitch now. Seriously! I think our
little session cleared out some carbon fouling or something, because it has
been better than new ever since.

7- My balls are still smaller than average yet they are almost a foot long.

8- I can turn on the TV in the game room by farting while thinking of the
number 4 (still don’t understand this?)

That day changed my life. I now have a newfound respect for things. I
appreciate the little things more, and now I always triple check to make
sure the fence is unplugged before I mow.

The good news is that if a burglar does try to come over the fence, I can
clearly visualize what my security system will do to him, and THAT gives me
a warm and fuzzy feeling all over, which also reminds me to triple check
before I mow.

Hey, we're suicidal here in Clownifornia. Both Babs "Cranium of Pus" Boxer and Dianne "I get a gun and you don't" Feinstein will gladly immolate defense industries in this state. It will just give them cover to raise taxes even further when revenues shrink from aerospace.

200 My read on General Petraeus is that he would only run if we were really, really, really deep in the shit, security-wise.

So, if that's true, I hope he doesn't run, because him not running would mean that things aren't quite so bad.

He doesn't seem to have any ego to feed, just military brilliance, coupled with a clear-eyed understanding of the world as it really is, and an unshakable love for his country.

And I couldn't possibly care less what his party affiliation is.

I liked the Comedian with the exception of his moral lapses. I never really saw how it was liberal propaganda though. Hell, the liberal was the bad guy.

The bad guy is a megalomanical hopey-changey homosexual, uberliberal who kills millions for world peace. The world peace turns out to be a censured society which views us as equal and not morally superior to the soviets. The only hero is the extreme conservative who stands by his morals at the end, and the only half hero is the Oliver North on steroids Comedian. Everyone else acts in their own terrible self interest at the end and we are betrayed by characters we have grown to love...i.e. Night Owl.

Don't feel bad, during the first Gulf War, I was in a peace march...however, I had ulterior motives (pussy, of course), and I rooted for Bush quietly.

206 I don't disagree with you. I'm referring more to those interviews where Moore complains because so many people like Rorschach so much that they think of him as the hero when he considers him a fascist psychopath. That, and the implication that government-sponsored superheroes winning Vietnam and cleaning up the country's messes, and more than two terms of Nixon are inherently not just bad, but evil things.

Posted by: Hoss Fuentes at January 30, 2009 10:27 PM (QWAKu)

207 My read on Petraeus is that his brilliance may come, in part, from being willing to listen to new ideas, even from those under him in rank. Hence, his success in Iraq, is my guess. The guys on the ground knew what was going on. The brass, not so much. This doesn't take a thing from him, it adds more IMO.

That said, nobody gets to general without having an ego to feed. He's got an ego. I wouldn't be upset if it worked in our favor. It's a very, very interesting idea.

NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly admitted that smaller police academy classes and attrition would make it hard for him to reach 34,700. "I expect officers to do more with less. They've responded, I believe they'll continue to respond. Would I like more police? Absolutely," said NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly. "Am I happy with this budget? 238 Bill Ayers must be very proud of his pupil.

Oh, I am. You should see the presentation I'm giving him next week on the penguin armies which will enable us to cut personnel to the bone and send those fascist rednecks back to the unemployment line in Shithole, Oklahoma

239 "Oh, but he's too SMART to govern from the left!"

I thought when he first got elected that he would play it smart/safe in his first term and govern right down the middle. But he's been as left-wing as he can be. Of course that's all he knows. His parents were radical leftists, everyone he's associated with are hard core lefties. In his twisted and ego drenched mind the United States, our military, the CIA etc. are his enemies. Clowns the in the Kremlin, North Korea, Fidel, Hugo etc. are all people him and his Marxist associates support.

240 In related news, Columbia University Anthropology Professor Nicholas De Genova has reduced his call for "a million Mogadishus" to "900,000 Mogadishus."

President Obama has promised to "see what we can do."

241 Well, notropis, my idealized version of Petraeus is the guy who didn't listen to conventional wisdom and got things done. I'm trying to think of a modern version of that, but come up short. Probably because I'm not military, cause if I was I could drop a name.

Now I know we have a love/hate relationship with Bob Woodward, so we have to distance ourselves from his tell-alls, grain of truth, no footnotes and all that, but wasn't it his last book that said Bush side stepped his brass to initiate the surge? Given the ongoing, losing while running in place situation, that makes enough sense that I'm open to it.

I'm thinking Bush looked down his command line for leadership and solutions, found Petraeus, and the rest is history. And Petraeus looked down his command line looking for leadership and solutions and the rest is history.

242 I'm thinking Bush looked down his command line for leadership and solutions, found Petraeus, and the rest is history.

Not the first time that's happened. Grant and Eisenhower come to mind.

Of course, sometimes reaching down the chain of command doesn't work out so well: George McClellan.

245 Yes, Obama. Cut the ranks. Give me unemployed grunts. Lots of them. Give me angry, hate-filled men who have gotten their hands dirty before and won't mind doing so again. What's a nice polite English translation of Freikorps?

134- I didn't reenlist, my back and knees weren't with the program.

156- Bringing a bat for riot control? I own a nicer AR- pattern rifle than I was issued. Not a problem.

And yes, King David has an ego, but then he's survived getting shot in the fucking heart (med-evacked to Vanderbilt in Nashville, then-chief of cardiac surgery Frist is the one who saved him), runs marathons in his 50's, and made four stars pretty young. He really is that damn good. Like I said, I worked for him.

246 OUT- Military
IN- Acorn, bee insurance, sod and condoms.

So, ummmm, Barry... how's you gonna pay for the extra 30K troops that you're sending to Afghanistan? You know, precisely the same number of troops that you insist did nothing to help the situation in Iraq. Yeah, them... the ones that you're sending into Afghanistan without a cohesive plan for anything and after you were explicitly told that the "surge" tactics that worked didn't work in Iraq (which is notoriously absent from news headlines these days... huh) would not work in Afghanistan because the situation is different.

Fucking jackass.

People were crying about how Bush is responsible for the deaths of soldiers in Iraq. Who wants to bet the the 30K deaths of underfunded troops were are about to see will be blamed on Bush too. Sure as hell can't hold our misunderstood fundamentalist friends responsible. They only kill people because we've treated them so terribly.

Maybe if we're lucky, Preznit Erkle will hurry up and fly off to suck off meet with his best friend Ahmeduchebag and they'll hold his ass hostage. I hope he forgets that current US policy prohibts negotiating with terrorist in hostage situations and the fucker starves there.

That's like 38 different varieties of cool. You beat out Baskin-Robbins.

Jindal and Palin are great people, and I'd love to see either one of them in the Oval Office some day. But, what we'll need in 2012, or as soon as we can get it, given what's happening in the real world, is a some sort of a Petraeus, ASAP; at least that's my guess.

Posted by: notropis at January 31, 2009 12:32 AM (2eXPC)

248 I wrote in "Petraeus-Military Coup" when I voted in the Rep primary. I'm beginning to think that a military coup/mass rebellion is inevitable, especially if the O wins a "squeaker" in 12.

However, as Obama begins to rack up failures and his stimulus plan only spurs hyperinflation, those fucking scumbag resource-depleters/Millennials who voted en masse for Obama may become disillusioned as Republicans had become.

250 It's called "fiscal responsibility". Given that the Democrats need to give a trillion dollars to their interest groups, so they need to cut spending somewhere else. Might as well cut non-essential spending.

Hope and change ! A trillion dollars is chump change, and the public is the chump. The hope is that the public won't notice.

For myself, I am content, as long as Hood River Distilleries gets bailout money so that I can continue to drink cheap.

251

Remember this from Preznit Expiration Date ?:

“You know, I’ve heard from an Army captain who was the head of a rifle platoon supposed to have 39 men in a rifle platoon. Ended up being sent to Afghanistan with 24 because 15 of those soldiers had been sent to Iraq.

And as a consequence, they didn’t have enough ammunition, they didn’t have enough Humvees. They were actually capturing Taliban weapons, because it was easier to get Taliban weapons than it was for them to get properly equipped by our current commander in chief.”

Well, that was then and this is now.

The rest of the government is getting a trillion-dollar raise cause they did such a great job of driving the economy into the dirt.

But the military–who has triumphed in Iraq despite the weather, despite Iran, despite al Qaeda and despite the Democrats–is being cut by 11%! And that’s just for starters!

Just last week, Obama swore: “I will preserve, protect and defend the Constitution.”

With what?

Condoms?

254 If this is January of 2009, and Obama was sworn in on the 20th, then I don't want to know what the next four years will look like.

I remember being told that the presidency will have "a moderating influence" on him. That he will move towards the center and stay there. That it wouldn't be viable for him to govern from the far left.

Well, I'm still waiting on that. This guy scares the living daylights out of me. His hubris is disturbing-- though the messiah-worship of his followers is even worse. Obama acts more like Louis XIV than POTUS. His whole attitude has been: "Je suis l'etat," and I am sick and tired of it. I'm tired of him, and I'm tired of his legions of sunshine patriots.

And then this whole business of cutting the defense budget by 11%. How could someone with such stupid ideas be so revered by the general public? Iran is nearly nuclear, Russia is rearming, Venezuela is allying with both of them, Al Qaeda is still hell-bent on destroying us, and he wants to cut the defense budget.

Maybe I'm this POed because I'm a college student and just subjected to Obama-worship daily.

Posted by: Amy at January 31, 2009 01:50 AM (U0dI+)

255 Well, dismantling the military would give The One the ability to form his massive 500,000 person National Security Force that he's been quoted talking about. Remember, it's supposedly going to be better equipped and better trained than our own US Military armed forces.

I believe there will be real fighting in the streets if this comes to being an actuality. I will be on the front lines (I'm retired USAF SrNCO).

Worst President ever. Everyday, almost every hour, the "hits" on America as we know it keep on coming.

Just need a few good men,

to cut 11% but cutting democrat-pork from the DOD budget. Things like breast cancer research, whatever Kerry & Murtha & Reid & Clinton & Obama got larded in there. There is plenty of waste to cut, but it would be falling on your sword to embarass the Leader that way.

Posted by: dustydog at January 31, 2009 04:29 AM (5u36L)

260 @36 Carter, it might be remembered, ran the military down so low we could not make repairs to aircraft or afford bullets.

Shit, my mom and dad were both in under Carter. They worked at Whiteman, where they were keeping a big portion of the nukes at the time. Dad's squadron was supposed to have something like 3 Hueys ready to go at any time, with 2 up and a few in reserve and they could only field 2 total because the others were being stripped for parts. It got so bad by the end of Carter's administration that everyone had to bring their own toilet paper to the base if they thought they would have to use the head!

Thanks Ace! The cut to defense budget ran across the bottom of the screen on fox news in the wee hours of the morning. Having fallen asleep with the set on, I awoke the next morning and began an online search for more information on the subject and found nothing.

No reason for any of us to be surprised. Afterall, the candidate Obama chose the gym and shopping over visiting injured soldiers in german hospital. His total disrespect for our troops was apparent but did not prevent his election. Pray dear patriots and stand tall.

Posted by: IllTemperedCur at January 31, 2009 10:58 AM (MKNSy)

263 Its not that the military likely can't stand a few cuts, there's waste in all levels of government (and any soldier can tell you of waste). The problem is that he's not demanding these cuts everywhere and calling for increased spending elsewhere.

Posted by: Christopher Taylor at January 31, 2009 01:31 PM (PQY7w)
