Princess Caroline Still In The Running For NY's Vacant Senate Seat? NOPE: She's Out

ALBANY, New York - Caroline Kennedy said she has withdrawn her name from consideration for the Senate seat being vacated by Hillary Clinton, in a statement released early Thursday morning.
"I informed Governor Paterson today that for personal reasons I am withdrawing my name from consideration for the United States Senate," the official statement read.

Unrelated...Much to my chagrin, I'm still not having sex with Judy Greer. That's my official statement on the matter.

The AP reports that not only is she not withdrawing, she's in it to win it.

After wavering briefly, Caroline Kennedy renewed her determination Wednesday to win appointment to the U.S. Senate seat once held by her slain uncle, Bobby Kennedy, a person close to the decision said.
After her surviving uncle, Sen. Edward Kennedy, suffered a seizure on Inauguration Day, Caroline Kennedy had misgivings about taking on the new job, the person said, speaking to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to speak for Kennedy. Earlier in the day, The New York Times and New York Post reported that Kennedy had ended her monthlong bid to succeed Hillary Rodham Clinton, who was confirmed as secretary of state.
MSNBC also reported that a person close to Kennedy denied that she was out of the running.

As of now, the NY Post which broke the news of Kennedy's supposed withdrawal still has that story up.

Allah wonders if divine intervention is responsible for this changing story.

This is getting to be a regular among the democrats. First they do what they want ... (think Blago's appointment) ... then they moan about it and say they won't do it, and that it wouldn't be right ... (Harry Reid was not rolled, he participated) ... then after everyone says that they at least tried to do the right thing ... they go ahead and do exactly what they wanted to do in the first place.

It's happened again and again, and until someone smarter than the press sees this pattern and reports on it, it will continue.

No one even remembers that Patterson replaces that other asshole in NY because of a sex scandal, and two days into office, he had his own, but it wasn't as sexy as the hooker scandal, so it blew over quickly.

We saw the same thing with Gitmo. 'bama promises to close it ... news leaks out that he's not gonna do it ... outrage for a bit ... then he goes ahead and declares that he might really do it anyway.

I always accept that any worthless thing promised by a Dem will be carried out, regardless of cost or harm to our country ... just because they are all worthless bags of SHIT. So I figure that she makes the new president look good ... since she's got even less qualifications than he does. What a low bar we set.
