Pallywood? Doubts Raised About Possibe Staging at Hospital Death Scene; CNN Yanks Video Without Explanation

I have no idea if the chest compressions formed here are fake. A doctor at LGF says they are completely fake -- far too gentle -- and that this footage of a 12 year old's death, taken by a "freelance cameraman" who just happens to be his brother, are staged for effect.

CNN's pulled it now. It's quite possible they didn't pull it at all, but just put it someplace else in the course of the day and no one's yet found it again.

But for the moment, it looks possible that CNN is checking into the story -- checking they should have done before running it in the first place.

Thanks to CJ.

1 Fakety fake fake fake.

Hell, I'm not a doctor and I know the chest compressions are "TV" style so you don't hurt someone. Real chest compressions are a lot of work.

8 That looks like CPR that would be done on an infant, not a 12-year-old.  Infant CPR is done with a couple of fingers.  Pediatric CPR is done with the palm of the hand.

If my kid brother was dying, I'd be sure to have a camera to my face the whole time.

I always say, if you have a degree in journalism, you have a degree in journalism.

It is such a relief that we have layers of highly skilled and morally grounded people with the kind of rock-ribbed honesty and forthrightness that made this country great working as the people who manage and deliver us the news for CNN.

They are the people that we should all strive to be, because right now, they are so much better than us, and that really makes me swell with patriotic fucking pride.

I am so glad that they have proven their honesty time and time again, to me, and to others. It is such a relief to know that when I turn on CNN, and I would if I had a tv, I can rely upon the years of experience at crafting news stories for people like myself who really have a hard time figuring out what's the truth.

That entire production should be up for a Razzie.  Terrible acting, terrible production values, terrible special effects.  Just all around terrible.

Aside from all the problems cited so far, what's the heart monitor hooked up to?  The doctor points to the nearby monitor to show that the patient is dead, and the murse stops doing CPR.  And then later, the doctor attaches contacts to the patient's chest, and the murse continues doing CRP.  But the doc still hasn't hooked those contacts up to anything.

And what's with all the fucking beeping in the background?  If that's a heart monitor, wouldn't that indicate that the patient is still alive?

On the other hand, if this is how they do CPR in Gaza, I guess that would explain why they suffer so many fatalities.

The depth of the chest compressions might not be that far off if the patient is a young/youngish child, movement would only have to be an inch to an inch and a half.  An adult need about 21/2 inches of movement.

Here's the thing, though, the patient has to be LAYING ON A HARD SURFACE or the effort IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.

All that clown is doing is shoving the kid an inch or so into his mattress, and probably not moving his chest wall at all.
