Deep thought for the day.

Of all the posters at ace's,  half are below average.

... for AOSHQ. I'm not sure that helps.

There's a great picture of Sarah Palin over at Hot Air. She's not winking and her hair is down. Very attractive!

10 This headline is exactly what I suggest as the GOP's best political strategy during the Obama honeymoon and first several months. Just sit back and watch. Make responsible criticisms. Don't metaphorically throw yourself through the air trying to block some stupid, weird law from passing, because the Dems will probably pass it anyway. Go ahead and try a filibuster, and just keep trying to seem like the responsible adult in the room.

This leads up to stage two, about 6 months away, when the Republican-led Campaign Against Corruption should begin.

Martin Kramer is urging “Anything But Cole” voting in the Weblog 2008 awards: “The prospect that Cole might win this award, in the midst of his wildly biased and hate-filled blogging on Gaza, is one I find repulsive. That the award should go to someone who retro-doctors his blog is likewise repulsive.” (LUN)

Senate Dems now likely  to confirm Burris since Feinstein has jumped off the boat. I guess that is what happens when you offend one of the SF liberals. I see the standoff ending before close of Friday and the press “forgetting” this event by Friday night.

And the source of it all, Blago, the press will forget him as well.

Posted by: Vic at January 07, 2009 10:28 AM (f6os6)

17 So Dianne Feinstein has the big cojones and Harry Reid, as it turns out, has a little dick.

Poor Harry.  I guess he won't be on Meet the Press next Sunday.

I love 4chan, most of the time.  Except when I'm on it.

I think my favorite part about when 4chan makes the news is that the reporters sound utterly perplexed.  They have no idea how to describe or deal with it.  It's like watching your 80 year old grandmother try to use the computer, except I hate reporters.

19 Watching MSNBC is like watching an alternate reality.  I'm watching Matthews hosting some dumb show with Jonathan Alter and Pat Buchanan (Jesus, he has gone completely bug fuck nuts) and they just can't stop with the Obama love.  He could eat a live baby on stage and they would find a way to spin it as a "matter of choice".

RATM is far from conservative.  Decidedly Pro-Che, and Pro-Mumia.

Barry creates a brand new White House position to do over site on govt. waste. So he'll be spending money to find ways to save money.

WASHINGTON – President-elect Barack Obama named Nancy Killefer as his administration's chief performance officer, creating a new White House position as part of an effort to eliminate government waste and improve efficiency.

"We can no longer afford to sustain the old ways when we know there are new and more efficient ways to getting the job done," Obama said at a news conference at his transition headquarters.

Posted by: TheQuietMan at January 07, 2009 11:06 AM (1Jaio)

22

Fox was just discussing this appointment of Nancy Killefer. She is a former Clinton appointee and will be in charfge of spending the 1 trillion dollar “stimulus” package. Doesn’t this sound familiar from the Clinton years with Al Gore “streamlining” government?  The only agencies that needed streamlining was the CIA and the military. OBama says we MUST get rid of programs that are not working in order to help with the budget. Hahahahaha, he is already appointed people with the clear intent to gut the CIA. According to Dick Morris that is the sole reason for appointing Leon Pannetta.

Posted by: Vic at January 07, 2009 11:26 AM (f6os6)

23 ...he is already appointed people with the clear intent to gut the CIA.

Gut the CIA?  Does that mean that instead of getting inaccurate intelligence and analysis, we'll get no intelligence and analysis?

Slam dunk?

Or....how does one gut a Zombie?

24 RATM is far from conservative.

Heh.  This from someone who is perpetually insisting he is sooooo much smarter than everyone else here.

Gawrsh, thanks for clearing that up for us, Russell!  D'uuuuuh, I don't think anyone here was aware of RATM's political leanings before you so helpfully popped in to show us all your super-big brain.

Satire.

25 Harry Reid says Coleman will "never, ever" serve in the Senate again?

Besides sounding like a petulant, angry little child (aka: average leftard), I hope that Harry is as right about this as he was about us losing in Iraq and the surge being a failure.

Harry, remember, it's better to remain silent and have yourself thought the fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Posted by: wiserbud at January 07, 2009 12:07 PM (EW49d)

26 Damn #25 beat me to it!  But Coleman has got to have renewed hope now that Harry "Karnak" Reid has told him he has definitively lost!!

27 Head exploding!  Just got an email from that despicable RINO John McCain, asking me to donate to his new PAC "Country First."  A couple of cringe-worthy excerpts:

I have decided to launch a new grassroots organization called Country First.

Country First will allow us to strengthen our Party

Maybe he should just apply for some TARP funds and steal my money the way he did for the UAW and the subprime lenders, cause that's the only way he gets another nickel from me.  Bastard!

At the close of market yesterday bloomberg.com excitedly announced that the market rose simply on Barry's announcement of his massive spending plan. Just the sound of his voice alone cause the market to rise. It went up a whole 62 points yesterday. Today it's down over 200. If the market is this Pavlovian why doesn't the messiah speak to it daily and while he's at it heal the housing market with the sound of his voice.

That fucking ABC story? The one about the Ugly American "Bush" supporters in France? I'm sick of this shit. If I ever run into the person or persons behind that crap, I'm going to kick their fucking asses. I will put these fuckers in the hospital. They're looking at six months of traction.

I'm sick of this fucking bullshit.

Posted by: jaleach at January 07, 2009 11:20 PM (gHrZU)

39 I know Latin, Greek, French, German and English enough to read them fluently or near-fluently. I would lay huge odds that I've read more classical European literature and philosophy than any person who's ever worked at ABC. In fact, probably more than their top 2 or 3 combined. And I love America with all my heart and soul and consider it a great privilege to have been born here. I think it's assholes like the ones who produced that story who are the "ugly Americans". Sucking up to passive European nihilists whose best days are long behind them is a revolting spectacle and the lamest form of affectation an American can adopt.

Posted by: venividivici at January 07, 2009 11:30 PM (LnZ6b)

40

How does sending two actors to play two American assholes in Europe prove anything about actual Americans in Europe?  After all, we could send an actor abroad pretending to be an honest ABC journalist, and that sure as hell wouldn't make the real ABC staff into honest journalists, would it!

This bullshit "analysis" was nothing more some media elitists trashing the image of their country in a blatantly dishonest fashion... but I have to admit I am jealous of how lucky they are to get paid so well to do something that they truly love!  For an MSM journalist, spreading lies around the world about America and Americans, and then doing "polls" about the damage Bush has done to our image is just good clean fun!

Someday I am personally going to get even with one of these cocksuckers, and they ain't gonna like it much.
