The reason is simple. Liberals deny that there is any sort of objective truth or standard for anything. Apply that to art, and quality gets thrown out of the window. Whoever is connected enough to get an album done is an artist. It is never what you know for a liberal, it is who you know.

And, by promoting rubbish, they are forcing society to accept their view of the universe as the standard -- they win a political victory over everyone else by destroying artistic standards in the broader community.

All liberal art is at best a put-on, in the main propaganda, and at worst a power play, a giant "F**k you" to the community at large. So even if we all lose, they still win.

Even if I had been successful at my line of argument, the possibility is high that he would have simply switched mental gears: changing the argument from one of conservative ideas being antiquated notions to one of his ideas being "ancient wisdom."
