Claim: Rahm Spoke Directly to Blago Only Once, as a "Courtesy Call"

Over FoxNews. This is from the Obama camp, previewing the findings of their, um, investigation. He also spoke to Blago's chief of staff four or five times.

Jim Pinkerton earlier advanced the idea that last week's report -- that there were 21 calls from Rahm to Blago or his staff -- was deliberately leaked by the Obama camp to highball the number, so when the real number came out -- four or five, he guessed -- it wouldn't seem so bad.

I have no idea if that's the case, but Pinkerton seems to have guessed the real number perfectly.

3 21 was crazy but 1 is total bullshit.
It will turn out Rahm was in on that marathon call lasting hours one morning when all the shit went down. It may have been one CONVERSATION, but there were probably 4 or 5 calls in a 2-3 hour period.

Doubtful. The Tribune's report was awfully vague on specifics. They were able to see the subpoena issued to Provena Health. Word is they put two and two together and came to the conclusion that the Feds were listening to somebody.

Also, the US Attorney's office has to submit information in regards to their requests for wiretaps on a periodic basis.

In short, Provena Health could have shared the subpoena with the Tribune.
