Darth Cheney Not Sorry He Told Leahy To F*** Himself [Nice Deb]

Chris Wallace asked Dick Cheney about it on Fox News Sunday, this morning.

If you remember, Cheney had reportedly told Senator Leahy to "Go F*** himself" in 2004, after Leahy had publicly questioned his integrity, and then tried to act all pallsy wallsy with him in person.

Cheney has no regrets:

"I thought he merited it at the time".

Cheney also had some choice things to say about Biden's claim that the Bush administration has "amassed too much executive authority":

"If he wants to diminish the office of the vice president, that's obviously his call," Cheney shrugged. "President-elect Obama will decide what he wants in a vice president and apparently, from the way they're talking about it, he does not expect him to have as consequential a role as I have had during my time."

I also liked the part in the interview where Cheney reponds to Biden's claim that Cheney was the most dangerous VP evah, decrying what he saw was an uncontitutional grab of power by the VP. Biden explains that the VP's role is defined in Article 1 of the Constitution. Cheney says that Biden was on the Judiciary committee for 36 years, teaches constitutional law in Delware, yet doesn't even know that the VP's duties are in article 2. What a nice way of saying that Biden is a dumbass.

Also, the 'I'll take a pass' on how he feels about Patrick Fitzgerald.

But America now needs a Mommy more than it needs a Daddy, apparently.

Cheney is a superior individual. The country has done well to have his service for so many years. A more clear-thinking, plain-spoken individual in politics there is not, except for one of my other favorites; Rumsfeld. "W" had a tremendous Cabinet, except for the Rino Powell. I'll miss Condy particularly. Thinking about her childhood and her achievements is an inspiration and a terrific motivator. And, I don't need motivating. She's just tremendous.
