Meh: Cut Rahm Emmanuel Sketch from SNL

Nothing funny about Obama, so I guess they can't run it.

Of course, this isn't terribly funny, and it's not really about Obama per se -- it's about the Obama Administration, which similarly is, I guess, impossible to joke about.

Who knows why they cut it. Though based on the show, and Andy Samberg's general popularity, there was a lot of crap they might have cut (as usual) to make room for it.

Probably a dumb question, but here goes. So I think the main problem with America today is the huge percent of the population who are Americans In Name Only, i.e. to whom the very concept of individualism and self-reliance is completely alien, the almost 40% who now live off the government, the lazy, entitled welfare bums. So, if, as Ace was wondering earlier today, the government is getting so hopelessly entangled in this mess that it's going over the cliff along with the banks, won't these evil (yes, I think they're evil, their lives are based on theft, gluttony, greed, and all manner of other sins) leeches get cut off? And isn't that a good thing? Isn't this finally the end to all these welfare programs that we've all been waiting for?

We've been telling them for years that living off of others is wrong and immoral, but they don't care and they will not change. But once that option is gone, once they literally cannot live off others any more, because the money simply isn't there, won't that finally end this for good?
