Summons Served on CAIR President at Awards Dinner

This is slightly amusing, but this type of thing always gives me a deck chairs on the Titanic vibe.

Details about the suit are here.

That page mentions the Holy Land Foundation trial (Warning: rather blatant media bias in the report). Actually, the retrial, which has been in jury deliberations for seven days now. Holy Land Foundation is believed to have funneled $12 million to Hamas. The reason for the first mistrial and probably the endless deliberations in this one is proving that the defendants intended that the money go to Hamas, rather than charity.

Both sides are already claiming vindication ahead of a verdict. The defendants say their "patent persecution" has strengthened their resolve and the resolve of their allies like CAIR (in other words, their unindicted co-conspirators). The government says that merely shining a light on these little scumsuckers has helped stop their terrorism financing, regardless of the actual outcome of the trial.

2 It's a start.
Maybe it will help my funk

3 Reminds me of the current pyramid scheme in Columbia for some reason.
Maybe for the same reasoning as Christoph's sentiment.

4 Deck chairs on the Titanic?  Don't assume that lawsuits are useless just because they don't involve hellfire missiles and body parts flying everywhere.

Lawsuits are useful because:

1 - Lawsuits are expensive, and CAIR can't defend themselves without opening themselves up to discovery.  They are pressured to settle, and the plaintiffs' attorneys know it.  And everyone knows CAIR is flush with cash from Saudi Arabia.  They are a deep-pockets defendant.

2 - It damages CAIR's ability to raise funds.

3 - It damages CAIR's credibility.  Even if liberal journos are willing to look the other way with regard to terrorism, using unlicensed lawyers is really sleazy in a way that can't be politicized to demonize George W. Bush.

Lawsuits alone won't win the war on terror.  But we should hit our targets everywhere we can, in the strongest possible (legal) way.  We can't let terrorists and terror supporters have any safe havens, especially not in the US of A.

5 Hopefully there can be a Hellfire missile in there somewhere - just to help Doug "Ibrahim" Hooper disappear into fat air.

Posted by: Fa Cube Itches at November 24, 2008 03:09 AM (RWmCt)

6 It's just delightful that sad sacks who used CAIR "legal services" had to go to good old fashioned jewish (real) lawyers to get the mess cleaned up.  I'm sure that had to chafe a bit.

It is to laugh.

9 Sorry, for some reason TinyUrl.com wouldn't take this link. Who's Your Daddy from "The Kid From Brooklyn." More on the Muslims. His Airplane Adventure. "He had the f'ckn balls to ask me to switch seats with him, because he had to pray. Five f'ckn times a day, he had to sit in my seat...because my seat was facing, facing f'ckn Mecca."... "Me, the Big Man, I pray once a f'ckn year... that's right, once a year....on Super Bowl day...I pray to God and i say...God, please, let me pick the winner of this f'ckn Super Bowl!" Ahahahahaha!!!

10 Sorry, I just can't help it. He's too much fun. "The Kid From Brooklyn" weighs in on the Second Amendment. "Personally, my weapon of choice...is an Apache helicopter, fully equipped." ..."I mean, that's for me." ... "How would you like to have one of those babies parked in your driveway or backyard...who's gonna f etc.."

Again, TinyUrl.com would not take it, don't know why.

12 Yeah, this was on the front cover of every newspaper this morning. Or was it not even mentioned in the classisfieds? Oh yeah, totally ignored..."Scranton Times(tm)(R)" headline...."Obama Recovery Plan unveiled". Shouldn't the douchebags who votes for this asshole known what the plan was, like 6 months ago? Screw, it will change by the six o'clock news.

13 Here would be a terrific place to list the members of Congress who regularly receive campaign contributions from CAIR. hmm... Let me go look them all up.

Why in the fuck has CAIR been allowed to operate within our borders? Why has the goevrnment not shut them down? It's a terrorist front; both as a mouthpiece and benefactor.

Hell, now that Obama's in, the mutherfuckers will get a government subsidy.

The H4 replica watches took replica watches Harrison a massive 13 years to replica watches construct-but this was only the end of a lifetime's work. His genius was clear from the very beginning. Unfortunately many astronomers such as Nevil Maskelyne were convinced that a mechanical solution replica watches would not work and that only astronomy could solve the replica watches longitude problem. The fact that Harrison was from a working class family and had little replica watches formal education probably didn't help his prospects.Solving the longitude problem through horology meant designing a timepiece that could work accurately at sea. When you watch consider the rolling waves, changes in replica watches temperature and generally adverse replica watches conditions the dificulty of this task becomes apparent. The H1 was completed in 1735 and proved replica successful at sea. However the Board of Longitude demanded a full a transatlantic wholesale watch voyage. They gave Harrison a grant of 500 pounds with which he began work on the H2 watches.
