Obama Will Be Taking Office With A Headache From Jimmy Carter And George W. Bush, But Mostly Jimmy Carter [Vinnie]

Finally, an overnight thread devoted to sweet, scrumptious helpings of schadenfreude as we trudge wearily around town looking for the last of the ammo.

Have fun with it, Messiah, even you may not be able to resurrect these rules from the dead.

Cry us a river, leftists, your Hamas loving Jimmah The Baptist started it.

George Bush isn't the first president to push through rules before the next guy can get in. Jimmy Carter gets that award.

Hope and change:

If the rules are published in the Federal Register by Friday, Nov. 21, they'll be very hard for President-elect Obama to reverse when he gets into office.

Look at the bright side, Barry, at least the Bush staffers will leave the "O" on the keyboards of the computers.

Yes, Clinton added a shit-pot of federal land to the classification of “protected land” and came up with that ridiculous arsenic standard for water. That one was designed solely for the purpose of embarrassing Bush because it was impossible to enforce. The intent was to start the whole “environment unfriendly argument” and they did. Of course the press ate it up, jumping on the bandwagon and questioning NOTHING, Bush hung his head and said NOTHING in the spirit of “reaching across the aisle, otherwise known as unilateral surrender, and the tone of his 8 years was set.

2 Crap, this means it's probably too late to suggest that he relax some of the firearm importation rules.

3 Maybe O-Man shouldn't have gone around yappin' about how he was going to hound the fuck out of W. by investigating every single detail of his 8 years in office.... The One's got a bad habit of thinking he's The One, when he's the Not Yet....

"Look at the bright side, Barry, at least the Bush staffers will leave the "O" on the keyboards of the computers."

Are you kidding?  You KNOW there's going to be stories to that effect, even though it won't really happen.

Nice to see W show some fight- as he's leaving.

Seems about right -sigh.

6 The Bush people will leave the O's on the keyboards. However, we're in the age of insane Democrats, so immediately after Obama's inauguration the press will be full of stories about how the Bush people did exactly what the Clinton people did, only worse--removed the O's and 0's from the keyboards, and whatever else the perverted Democrats can dream up to claim. They know they are now in a no-questioning zone---Democrats can say anything and it will be saturation-reported as factual. Expect the media to be a blanket of propaganda for the foreseeable future.

Posted by: David Stewart at November 22, 2008 09:00 AM (FzoZg)

7 Bush's last act should be blanket pardons for Obama's campaign workers for vote fraud and accepting illegal campaign contributions.

That would put some disinfecting sunlight on the stink.

He also ought to pardon that whackjob DA in Texas who is going after Cheney based on the theory he owned stock in some company that did something wrong. Evidently the DA didn't figure out that everyone with a diversified 401K is also guilty of that crime.

8 Look at the bright side, Barry, at least the Bush staffers will leave the "O" on the keyboards of the computers.

I would recode the keyboard maps to have all "b" print out as "s".

But I'm evil that way.

9 Note that the swamp donkey who wrote the article can't distinguish between "rites" of passage and "rights" of passage.

Good thing we've got those professional journalism schools cranking out those BAs. Otherwise the very language itself might fall into tatters.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll just be over here sobbing. Quietly.

10 #9 - it was correct. Lefty journalists are always finding rights where none existed before.

11 Actually, working witht a democratic Congress he will be able to reverse a good amount of the new Bush regulations. Unlike Clinton or even Bush's dad, this administration always overeaches and will create regulations that don't pass legal review.

12 Yay!!! Barry's going to save us!!!

WASHINGTON – President-elect Barack Obama promoted an economic plan Saturday he said would create 2.5 million jobs by rebuilding roads and bridges and modernizing schools while developing alternative energy sources and more efficient cars.

"These aren't just steps to pull ourselves out of this immediate crisis. These are the long-term investments in our economic future that have been ignored for far too long," Obama said in the weekly Democratic radio address.

The goal is to it quickly through Congress, with help from both parties, after Obama takes office Jan. 20. The plan, which envisions those new jobs by January 2011, is "big enough to meet the challenges we face," he said.

They rebuild roads and bridges every year in Chicago because they do such a shitty job on them every year.

13 I think the most awesomely awesome thing for W to do would be to reinstate the Clinton arsenic standards.

Obie would have no choice but to strike those down as well.

Oh, the teeth will gnash and the women will wail.

But they're still gonna take the "zero" with them, right?  Because that's all that matters.

16 Speaking of Jimmah

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – Zimbabwe has refused to let Kofi Annan, Jimmy Carter and a South African human rights advocate visit the impoverished country for a humanitarian mission, the three said Saturday.

The former U.N. secretary-general, the ex-U.S. president and rights advocate Graca Machel had planned to assess the southern African country's needs. They are members of The Elders, a group formed by former South African President Nelson Mandela to foster peace and tackle world conflicts.

Why would any two bit dictator like Mugabe not want Jimmah to show up and say how wonderful things are?

However the Board of Longitude demanded a full a transatlantic wholesale watch voyage. They gave Harrison a grant of 500 pounds with which he began work on the H2 watches.
