Ace has signed up for the Army team, so it would be cool if Moron Nation supported the Moron In Chief's decision*.

What is Project Valour IT? I'm glad you asked. Blackfive (which I think is the lead site for Team Army) explains.

Project Valour-IT, in memory of SFC William V. Ziegenfuss (Captain Chuck Ziegenfuss' father), provides voice-controlled software and laptop computers to wounded Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines recovering from hand and arm injuries or amputations at major military medical centers. Operating laptops by speaking into a microphone, our wounded heroes are able to send and receive messages from friends and loved ones, surf the 'Net, and communicate with buddies still in the field without having to press a key or move a mouse.

As of this moment there are 12 Heroes waiting for laptops. Did I mention the donating part?

*I'm guessing special dispensations will be issued to vets of other services or those will close ties to donate in the name of their team. The important thing is donate.

I donated $100 but, sorry Ace, it went to the Marines. I have a nephew that did three turns in Iraq as a Marine. Luckily, he wasn't wounded -- although he did have an injury that ended his Marine career.

The Army is doing fine. The Corp was dragging a bit. Fortunately, the money all goes into the same pot at the end. I hope everybody does something here. It is a great cause and really the least that we can do.

This Soldiers Angel gives to all 4 but I am a freaking nut when it comes to our military.....they are the best of this world and everyone else is second best!

15 Heather, that's exactly why I won't ever give to Soldiers' Angels again, not even for this (very worthy) cause. They spend way too much of their budget on mail gimmicks. One time, they sent me a letter in a box. The point of the letter was something like "We spent a bunch of your money mailing out these boxes, and now you should give us MORE money, because we will totally use it for soldiers this time, we promise!!" Yeah, I think I'll stick with Adopt a Sniper from now on.
