Won't that depend on whether we have a formal treaty or SOFA kind of thing? I thought our laws governing those were written in such a way that it was intentionally made difficult to just abandon the agreements with the whims of a new administration. I dunno...maybe that's just tradition.

To my knowledge, we currently do not have a treaty. It is very unlikely that a treaty will be ratified prior to Obama taking office.
