The FEC, which would have to vote to launch an audit, is prone to deadlocking on issues that inordinately impact one party or the other – like approving a messy and high-profile probe of a sitting president.

Anybody know if campaign finance records are subject to the Freedom of Information Act? If so, who needs the FEC?--a private group could do its own "audit", though given that the CC info would be key given they deactivated the screen procedures, might be unlikely it would/could be public info.

If there isn't an FEC audit and if the records can't be independently reviewed, some group other than the RNC should file a lawsuit to permit an audit, and take it to the Supreme Court if necessary. Guarantee if you were to look at the CC#'s that many were owned & funded by some big donors like Soros...

The corrupt officials won't do it. The corrupt MSM won't cover it. It has to be done through the courts.

Watching that issue (and the LAT tape) slide away is one of the most frustrating parts of the last year.

This little news item is just a bite-size sample of what's going to happen in the next election.
