Ralph Nader Ponders if Barack Obama Will be an "Uncle Sam" or "Uncle Tom"

Well, here's the thing: Although the hard left certainly won't slur him to the extent they slur Michael Steele or Clarence Thomas (or Michelle Malkin, for that matter, an Asian woman who doesn't know her proper place), Obama has created fantastical expectations of wealth redistribution -- and free government gas, and free government houses -- in the left-leaning share-the-wealth sectors of America, especially among minorities.

So this will be only the first time he's called an Uncle Tom. Hopefully. Because the only way to avoid the slur is to go whole-hog for share-the-wealth and racial reparations. (Or reparations disguised as "refundables.")

1 First of all, holy crap!  Nader is such a tool.

Second, man, Shep Smith does not seem happy to be talking to Ralph Nader.

3 At some point in the next 4 years, he will annoy his constituency royally and the response will be angry.  It won't be too long before he is looking at the underside of a proverbial bus with some black leader/cultural figure saying, "Hey, he never really was a [epithet] anyway."  Mark it down.

Sheppard Smith is such a faggotty lickspittle.

"You said...(ominous eyebrow raise) Uncle Toooommmm....

Look, Nader's a douchebag, but from his perspective, it was a perfectly reasonable turn of phrase, logically consistent with his platform of bashing the big corporations.

Looks like Sheppard's afraid of ending up on the pointy side of the barbed wire in the Obama administration.  Fucking hall monitor bitch.

I will be making this recipe this weekend, any thoughts on how it may be improved?

Penne with Sausage, Eggplant, and Feta

Yield

4 servings (serving size: 2 cups)

Ingredients

·         4 1/2  cups  cubed peeled eggplant (about 1 pound)

·         1/2  pound  bulk pork breakfast sausage

·         4  garlic cloves, minced

·         2  tablespoons  tomato paste

·         1  teaspoon  dried oregano

·         1/4  teaspoon  freshly ground black pepper

·         1  (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained

·         6  cups  hot cooked penne (about 10 ounces uncooked tube-shaped pasta)

·         1/2  cup  (2 ounces) crumbled feta cheese

·         1/4  cup  chopped fresh parsley

Preparation

Cook eggplant, sausage, and garlic in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until sausage is browned and eggplant is tender. Add tomato paste and the next 3 ingredients (through tomatoes); cook over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Place pasta in a large bowl. Add tomato mixture, cheese, and parsley; toss well.

McCain Gets Hammered At Local VFW
November 5, 2008 | Issue 44•45
PHOENIX—After conceding defeat in the 2008 presidential election, former Republican candidate John McCain reportedly got completely hammered Tuesday night at the Veterans of Foreign Wars bar in Phoenix. "I saw this old guy just kind of slumped over his drink for a couple hours before I realized who it was," bartender Rob Dubbin said of the former Navy officer, who sources confirmed arrived at the VFW community tavern around 9 p.m. wearing his lieutenant commander's jacket and cap. "He must have had about eight or nine boilermakers in all. I heard him muttering something about 'Pennsylvania,' I think, but other than that he was pretty quiet." Sources said McCain continued to drink alone until well after 3 a.m., at which point fellow patrons had to carry the sleeping senator to a couch in the back office.

Posted by: ChangeUCantBelieveIn at November 05, 2008 06:54 PM (rvIvq)

34 I resemble that remark.

And God love 'im.  Ralph Nader has gone from odd crank to crazy relative in the attic in 3 election cycles.

Whooo-weee!  Breaking out the "Uncle Tom" the day after the election.  Not even us bitter, clingy racists are doing that.

And my guess would be more along the lines of "the uncle who likes you a bit too much." (cough *VB* cough)

Jay, you can only buy a close election.  This one wasn't close.  Neither ACORN nor the credit card/free loans put BO over the top.  The cheating isn't what caused the loss.

42 God I miss Ronald Reagan.

Posted by: CInAz at November 05, 2008 07:06 PM (qIOmI)

43 That's unrealistic. Democrats will continue to blame republicans for anything bad that happens. You have to remember how these people think. Democrats = good; Republicans = evil. With that "logic" in mind, anything bad that happens must be the republicans' fault. The entitlement mentality of the left always blames others for the failure of people to get that to which they are entitled. That's the definition of entitlement. If I'm entitled to something, and I don't get it, it must be because someone stopped me from getting it. Someone who is evil. The usual victims of the entitlement mentality have been Jews. Lenin blamed them. Hitler blamed them.

So there will be no blaming of Obama for anything bad that happens. Obama wants people to have that to which they are entitled (i.e. other people's property). That's why people who have property are evil for not giving it to those to whom it is entitled. When they don't get their entitlement, it will be the fault of those people who do not favor forcing people to give up their property. Not Obama's fault.

44 Nader.  I still remember an interview he did with O'Reilly (before I stopped watching O'Reilly) shortly after 9/11.  When O'Ro asked him what he would have done in response to the terrorist attacks if he were president, Nader responded that he'd go after the "corporate greedmeisters."  That line still remains the unchallenged number one on my WTF? list.  I think Ralphie is certifiably insane.

Yesterday, our high school had a little incident when some black students started chanting "Obama" while taunting white students.  It almost evolved into a riot.  Todya, on the local morning show, they ran a piece interviewing blacks about how wonderful it was to have a black President and how would understand their problems.

I've got bad news for them, Obama ain't one of them.  He was raised by his WHITE grandmother and went to Harvard and Columbia.  That's not exactly street cred.
