119,000 in Ohio

Sometimes the margin of victory is slim.

Less than half that number changed the course of history. Midway was a victory. Guadalcanal was a game changer. It was where we refused to lose.

Secretary of State Brunner has stacked the deck. Topple it Ohioans. You can do it.

William Howard Taft would approve. I know him like a brother. He's not even pissed about that whole Bull Moose thingy.

1 I have some pics of thuggery here in Minnesota.  What e-mail would be best to send it to?

2 I'll be heading to my polling location here in Toledo as soon as I'm off work.

3 Me too.  The Wife told me that the new option of paper ballots involves marking them with a pen? Oh, this could end badly.  Thanks to us having a moron/partisan SOS.... (The other option is touch screen, which I'm still not happy about, either.)

Posted by: HeartbreakRidge at November 04, 2008 04:21 PM (fagDq)

4 It would be nice tow in and then have all this fraud stuff investigated and prosecuted (and publicized) anyway.

I send my pics to the standard Ace e-mail.

5 SW Ohio voter here.

We had a line out the door this morning. That's never happened before. Heard that earlier, the line was all the way to the street.

It moved quickly, though.

This year, thanks to Jennifer Brunner's "reforms", we had the option of touch-screens or optical-scan ballots. I didn't realize this until AFTER I'd voted with an optical-scan ballot. There were two lines at our precinct table. I got in the shorter line, not realizing that it was for optical-scan. Of course, filling in all those little ovals took longer. And McCain/Palin were all the way at the bottom, for no logical reason I could see.

Thank you, Sec of State Brunner! Stupid broad should probably be in jail.

As I was folding my ballot to seal it in the envelope, I noticed it said "Provisional Ballot". What the hell? I had no problem signing in--they even asked for ID, which surprised me.

I just can't help but believe that all these Brunner reforms are a big Dem scam.

I am a Democrat who has never chosen a Republican candidate in my life.   I just returned from voting in Florida, and I voted a straight Republican ticket as payback to the Democratic party.  The Obama campaign, with the support of the DNC, did not want to count our primary votes in Florida, but MY VOTE WILL COUNT this time.   Obama is a fraud, and any real Democrat who supports him is not thinking straight.  Go McCain / Palin!  Hero before zero!!!!!

7 Voted an hour ago in Mahoning County (near Youngstown, NE Ohio).  No line, no exit polling,  but then again I live in a small, conservative suburb where there are few Obama supporters and our local bank has a gigantic McCain/Palin sign.

10 Voting in the Soviet Republic of Cleveland Heights was a piece of cake today.  I went about 10:15 and there was no line or anything unlike 4 years ago when I had to wait for a while in the cold rain to give a big "fuck you" to Lurch.  The people working the polls were all nice and told me that about 40% of the voters had voted early or absentee.  It was a gorgeous sunny day with temps around 70 and everybody was pleasant, including me because even if they were cocksuckers that were voting for Obammy they wern't in-my-face about it.  Because of that whore Brunner, we're stuck with using fucking paper ballots like we're back in the sucky 60s; when I was using the ballpoint I was fantasizing about jabbing it in that bitch's eye.

11 #5 Provisional ballot

Hm.  I wonder about the provisional ballot thing.  Will it get counted?  Or do they hold provisional ballots until all the others and counted and only count them if they think they'll make a difference?

13 I live in a very conservative county in Ohio and I have never seen turnout like I did today -- It's all anecdotal but that encouraged me a bit to see that kind of turnout.

Posted by: Ryan at November 04, 2008 04:47 PM (ChxaN)

14 One word, Ohio.

Recall.

Kick Brunner out.  Kick Strickland out.  Reclaim your state so you aren't the political cesspool of America.

Recall.

Start tomorrow.

15 Turnout in red areas in SW Ohio is kickass.  I'm in Clinton Co., and lines out the door at 6:30.  Family in Warren Co. and Dayton suburbs, lines out the door.

Posted by: Herr Morgenholz at November 04, 2008 05:10 PM (5aa4z)

16 voted straight line republican at 2pm.  The polling station did not have a line but it did have a steady stream of people going in and out.

I don't mind the paper ballots.  I like to see what I chose.

I wrote that broad Brunner a scathing email after I received an insulting "tell us about your voting experience" business card when I finished voting.

She is a disgrace to the state of Ohio and a corrupt, embarrassing shill.

19 Thanks for holding the line in Ohio KC.  It's important.  Way more so than my stupid vote here in Texas.

I'm a registered Dem, voted straight ticket rep.

kal, I'm shocked because if you look at the lawn signs, bumper stickers (did the shitheads finally remove their Lurch/Silky ones?) and all, it's like we're non-existent.  Finding out about another moron in the area makes me kind of know how the dissident Rooskis felt when they read samizdat.

I'm a registered Dem, voted straight ticket rep.

Same here except I may have inadvertently voted for a donk judge or two.
