Brunner: Federal Law Requires Me To Have a System for Double-Checking Registrations in Place, But Does Not Actually Require Me to Double-Check Them or Use That System
Brunner's Tie to ACORN Official Raises New Questions Project Vote director who advised Brunner allegedly worked with Obama campaign (Columbus) - Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner's connection to a top ACORN official raises troubling new questions about her refusal to disclose at least 200,000 questionable voter registrations being held by her office. An investigation into ACORN's alleged fraudulent election activity revealed on Wednesday that one of its national directors, Karyn Gillette, collaborated with the Obama campaign to raise funds for the group's voter registration efforts. Gillette is identified on Jennifer Brunner's 2006 campaign website as a consultant to Brunner, and a blog entry filed by Brunner's husband Rick adds that "our candidate had gone earlier in the day to have some meetings and work out of Karyn Gillette's office." Rick Brunner also describes Gillette as "very helpful to the campaign." According to campaign finance reports, Gillette, a longtime fundraising consultant to Ohio Democrats, was paid $21,250 by Brunner's campaign. An ACORN whistleblower testified in a Pennsylvania state court on Wednesday that "in November 2007 Project Vote development director Karyn Gillette told her she had direct contact with the Obama campaign and had obtained their donor lists." Project Vote is the voter registration arm of ACORN. (Wall Street Journal, 10/29/0 "Jennifer Brunner's ties to a top ACORN official, who is also accused of collaborating with the Obama campaign, suggest she's orchestrating a cover-up to protect her friends," said Ohio Republican Party Deputy Chairman Kevin DeWine. "This group has publicly testified that it's members engage in fraudulent election activity, and at least one voter said he was persuaded by ACORN to cast a bogus ballot. It's time for Jennifer Brunner to stop the concealing the evidence and start restoring confidence in the integrity of Ohio's election." Gillette is not Brunner's only tie to ACORN. Members of the group's voter registration arm, Project Vote, regularly advise Brunner on election strategy, previously serving on her Voter Rights Institute and even recently issuing a news release claiming credit for Brunner's directive banning challenges to suspected fraudulent voter registrations.
That's a press release, but I should note that Bonnie used her Google-Fu and sent me this tip an hour ago. Nice, Bonnie.

4 I just posted this in the earlier Ohio thread, but I know morons have short attention spans, so I'm posting it here, too.
I tried to send this to Ace earlier, but something gorked, so I'm sticking it here:
article in the Dayton Daily News today outlined the "great advances" of
the forces of Dear Leader in registering voters in Ohio. See here: http://tinyurl.com/65fkey
According to this, which is based on the Secretary of The Politburo Comrade Brunner
State Brunner's records, about one in five new registrations came out
of Cuyahoga County (Cleveland). That's 159,631 new registrations, for
a total in that county of 1,112,406 registered voters.
Ahem. Problem. According to the Census Bureau, http://tinyurl.com/5v29xe
you run the numbers on population from 2006, there are only about
966,000 residents of Cuyahoga County 18 years and older. (I will
disregard that Cuyahoga is losing more people than any other Metro
region in the country. About 1% per year. http://tinyurl.com/6knv3a
other words, there are about 146,000 more registered voters in Cuyahoga
County than there are eligible voters. That's 15% more. That's more
than Bush's 2004 margin.
Sleep well with that thought.

7 Karyn Gillette---
The import of Moncrief’s testimony is that Obama’s campaign was sharing its most updated donor information with ACORN at the crucial pre-primary time. How much of that information was used by ACORN to gain donations then used to propel Obama’s successes in the winter and spring primaries?
Heidelbaugh went on to explain that the key ACORN witness disappeared during the hearing after Moncrief’s testimony. She said, “The key piece of this, before we started the hearing, ACORN’s attorney, Catherine Simpson, again before we started the hearing, said one of her witnesses was going to be Karyn Gillette, Anita’s supervisor. After Anita said on the stand that Obama’s campaign contacted Karyn Gillette -- Karyn Gillette was gone. She wasn’t in the courtroom. She wasn’t put up on the stand. Why? Because I would have asked her and she would have been under oath and she would have had to answer.”

33 Jeebus. I have got to move out of this state.
Still, like #11, I think this will be a problem in many states. I think part of the problem with a county having more registered voters than eligible voters may stem from the fact that people register, then move, or die. How often are records updated? Does anyone know? If I move next year, won't Ohio still show me as a registered voter? If I register in, say Alaska, after I move out of this God-forsaken state, is there any communication between Alaska and Ohio to void my registration in Ohio?
Perhapsvoter registration and record maintenanceis one of the few things that needs to be federalized.

40 A few weeks ago we were speculating as to how ACORN was going to steal the election. Looks like I was right -- they're going to use all those fraudulent registrations to back up why there were X amount of voters in certain precincts.
In other words, the results won't be challenge-able on the grounds of 'irregularities' when the number of votes cast do not exceed the number of registered voters.
But Bart, what about all those funny fake names such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck? Good question. Very few of those names will be used to vote, if any. THE POINT is that Mickey Mouse Friends helped pad the registered vote totals.
Obama is going to get a shitload of fraudulent votes, but he can't get, say 100K votes in a city with only 85K registered voters. So now some cities are going to have, say, an extra 5K registered voters due to ACORN's fraud. But there will be only a portion of actual fraudlent votes cast for Obama. Even if it's only a few thousand in a couple of dozen precincts across Ohio, it will swing the state to Obama's column.

52 As someone on the ground here in Ohio, it'll take more than 200,000 votes to swing this state to Obama and I think the higher ups in Columbus know this. This is why they have been doing so much crap recently that is blatantly illegal and blatantly inviting fraud. I have no idea where some of these polls are getting anywhere from a 3 to 8 point lead for Obama. Even with the fraud, I don't see Obama winning Ohio. Don't get me wrong, this is ridiculous and infuriating, but all this will do is keep Obama from being absolutely embarrassed here.

57 I just don't get why voter fraud is a partisan issue.
I'll take a shot at that one.
The Dems have been building a case for years, since 2000, that the Republican Party has been actively engaged in voter suppression and election theft. We have all heard it, the world has heard it. Diebold, the Supreme Court, irregularities in Ohio during the last election, hanging chads... the list is endless. They have created a climate where the public at large who doesn't much pay attention to this crap except on a surface level believes that the Republican Party has actively been defrauding minorities, the poor, all Dem constituencies for years. It's a given for many if not most of the people in the center and left. The Dem activists did this on purpose. Astorturfing.
When you factor in that the MSM barely touches this issue, in the environment the Dems have created who is going to listen to Republicans yelling about voter fraud? Hell, even the Republican leadership is ignoring this for the most part. It sounds like a crazy Dem conspiracy theory.
It just happens to be true and proveable.

I wanna see the McCain Justice Department goon a voter fraud crusade led by a latter day Eliott Ness , kicking down doors and yanking asses out of their cushy offices.

I think people are wasting their time running after Axelrod and Obama. This is above their pay grade.
Please read this link. This stuff has been building for years. Obama is just the pawn.
If you don't buy that, read this one. These guys called this shit 2 years ago and they were spot on.
And this is the guy who built the organization. Listen to how his views about the diminishment of the USA after this economic crisis and how we should talk with Hamas and Iran dovetail with Obama's.

Why would average citizens be proud of knowing the world sees this level of dishonesty .... 100 This stuff in Ohio is so over the top that I start wondering if Brunner might be so blatant and in-your-face purposely as part of the plan to suppress Rep vote, in addition to supporting fraudulent votes for Obama.
In 2004 the Dems decided that they were not going to loose Ohio again and have been working at every level to guarantee it. Are you Ohioans still confident that with an average 6% plus for Obama in state polls and this massive fraud. it can still be kept in the red column? I can only see it if the republican turnout is much larger than the democrat-zombie-fictitionalcharacter-inanimateobject turnout.

105 Let me start by apologizing to our Ohioians here.... but what in heavenzs name is everyone there thinking ?
The same thing I always think: That there's no conceivable power that could keep me from voting on Tuesday despite all the chicanery the cocksuckers are doing to demoralize me. I'm not originally from Ahia but I've spent more than half my life here and the people of the state are generally good and hard working. They've allowed, however, a system of state and local governments to grow to the point where it's creating such an overload of costs to do business in the state that employers have left in droves. Plus the cities of Cleveland, Youngstown and Toledo (there might be more but I can personally testify to the corruption present in these) have become cesspools of graft and are economically stagnant. The people in the rural areas are generally more industrious but they've been worn down by the oppressive governmental overheads. But they came through like champions by giving a big "fuck you" to a group of snotty Brits that some garbage fishwrap coordinated sending letters urging them to vote for Kerry in 2004, as if they were some illiterate hicks waiting for instructions from their overlords. Whenever some ignorant whore like Brunner gets me pissed off, I think about those people to get my blood pressure down.

Do a little reading on Soros and his theory of Reflexivity. He has used it to become a billionare and the 80th richest man in the world. Simply put, it is market manipulation by controlling the message or what liberal blogs call the meme. In other words, astroturfing.

117 The scumbag is about 130 yrs. old and wont be around to torment us much longer .
Yep, he's old. His kids aren't.
Don't count on his influence going away until it is made to go away.
Anyways, his claim was this...Acorn, once they have a voter registration filled out, are obliged by law to send it in regardless of what it says. True, or False? I have read about them having to try and verify the name and address 3 times before giving up, but are they then forced to send it in? I mean Joe Crotch living 123 Your Underpants Lane is never going to be verified, and is obviously false, do they have to send it in?
Yea, he's right. But not for the reason he thinks.
There are two things going on with these ACORN registration drives. One is to get a butt load of new voters who will be guaranteed Dem voters. But the second and almost as important is to overload local election boards with fraudulent registrations. They want to create chaos and crisis in elections across the country so they can scream voter suppression and intimidation, just as they are. Watch how many Dem poll watchers show up in swing precincts this election.

118 So who is orchestrating all of this?
We have Soros, Cloward, Piven, Ayres, Dohrn, Frank, Reid, Pelosi, Axelrod, and God knows who else pulling Obama's strings - all following the Alinsky Handbook.
They've been working behind the scenes for years to create exactly this type of coup. They've been working for yours on training little Barry for exactly this type of role.
Who paid for his travels, who paid his tuition, who paid to get him in the Senate, who bought up all his books so he had more than $4.2 million on his 2007 tax return - about $261,000 from salaries and
the rest from book royalties. $4 million from book royalties in one year????
Like others in this thread have said - I was never a conspiracy nut but I'm becoming one now.
Posted by: Mary at October 31, 2008 12:01 AM (p3MCm)
119 So who is orchestrating all of this?
There is no one person. There are a lot of people. There is a meeting of the minds of ideology and money.
And, sorry PUMAs, Hillary Clinton is up to her ass in this along with many other people. Doesn't anyone remember that Hillary wrote her senior thesisat Wellesley on Alinsky? She turned down a job with him in Chicago to go to Yale. She is a fellow traveller. So is Soros, he's the money. He has as a stated goal the destruction of the US "imperialist" gov't.
Barry might be on a tape with Khalidi and Ayers? Fucking shocker! Three U of Chicago professors and butt buddy's playing nice. That's going to move exactly zero votes. And when he disappears another will take his place.

120 "WTAM 1100 has a morning guy (Bob Frantz) that covers a lot of the ACORN stuff, plus the Helen Jones-Kelley issue.
aired an interview with some ACORN douche who was ferrying homeless
people to the polls for early voting and admitted she was asking them
to vote for Obama."
Important things mentioned on Bob Frantz's show this morning:
1) The Teamsters (surprise!) are busing people into OH, PA from surrounding states to make housecalls on union brothers, just to "make sure" that they're towing the union line and voting O.
2) A woman called in and said that she and her daughter witnessed handlers voting for a busload of MR/DD people who they'd brought in. The woman idiotically DIDN'T say anything, or take pictures (she said she was afraid of being prosecuted, no shit). Frantz got the Cuyahoga BOE on the phone, they wouldn't address the issue.
3) More frighteningly, it looks like Obots are targeting senile people at nursing homes, group homes and taking them to vote against their legal guardians' will. Complicit handlers at these types of places are to blame. We may see lawsuites over this, but don't expect it to go anywhere.
Above and beyond, the rats are doing EVERYTHING they can to push the meme that an isolated incident is not evidence of their systematic perpetuation of fraud.
Now, something else to note about the Soros plan for taking over the US that is being actualized: Last night at the hewitt/prager/medved/lieberman townhall, a fellow stood up and mentioned Obama's legislation, currently sitting in congress, to give an INDEXED percentage of GDP to foreign countries through the UN.
PUKE. This thing has been mentioned, but it's living under the news current. The thousands in the crowd collectively GASPED when this shit was mentioned last night.
The bill calls for almost a TRILLION in aid. Obama will sign it into law if he gets his grubby hands on that office. After all, he wrote the thing.
Posted by: kal at October 31, 2008 02:52 AM (ov1az)
Obama may have introduced it but do you think he actually wrote it?
In several remote countries, Mr. Soros's representatives share an office with UNDP staff. Sometimes residents have no idea where the Open Society Institute begins and the U.N. agency ends. The publicly financed agency and the private philanthropy, which is tied to a profitable hedge fund, are barely distinguishable.
Soros doesn't care about gov'ts. He cares about manipulating them to make money.

122 Good luck locating Ms. Karyn Gillette. Have you seen the price of airfare to Martinique?
Ms. Gillette is long gone. She's out of the country. She was a paid consultant to retired Judge Jennifer Brunner in 2006 in her campaign for the Ohio Secretary of State's office.
Ms. Gillette is owner and operator of KG Associates, INC., a for profit political consulting firm that specializes in event planning and fundraising. She's worked for Brunner and Congressman Sherrod Brown, now Senator Sherrod Brown.
She's not running KG associates right now. Ha. Don't believe me. She is running it. She's just also running the Project Vote operation right now as National Development Director.
You suckers are casing her trail in Ohio and she's already moving her career to Washington. She'll make an appearance in DC sometime after January 22nd, 200, likely in a capacity as national field director of some "independent" group that will be advocating for support of the policies of Barack Obama.
If you find her, give us a call. We're still trying to settle our guys' campaign debts. I know. Campaigning for President in the Democratic party and lovechild shake, bake, and fake is an expensive affair. No pun intended.
Posted by: John Edwards' Law Partners at October 31, 2008 10:24 AM (AHrTm)
123 Ring - Yes, a private group that does voter registration is required to turn in all registrations. They are however not required to encouraqge voter fraud as ACORN regularly does. Haven't heard about it this cycle but in previous cycles there were documented cases of registration forms marked Republican found in the garbage near ACORN offices. When these weren't simply overlooked by the authorities ACORNs explanation was "Our idiot workers accidentally threw away some registrations. But only the Repug ones!"
Thought then that these guys were morons (and not the good kind). After all what does a good crosscut shredder cost? A lot less than a stolen election. Guess they learned that lesson. (Might be a interesting experiment if you ever see an ACORN volunteer to register as a fake Republican and see if the reg makes it through the process and onto the voter roles. Course be cautious because if you are detected you will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. And if you do prove the fraud you can't expose it without admitting your own crime.)
