McCain Ad on Redistribution of Income

Nice.

And since you can't donate to McCain anymore except for after-the-election lawsuit purposes (important, yes, but...), these guys seem to want to win.

And see the 'Tiny" ad too, I guess.

I want to say the latter is a waste, because we all know that.

But "we" don't.

We're a nation of morons.

Low-information voters, the Democrats' bread and butter.

2 Since he is fighting, I will too. I'm off to the campaign office to make calls.

3 Actually, it's an RNC ad. You can donate to them, though I don't think they are having money issues.

Posted by: DrewM. at October 28, 2008 04:06 PM (hlYel)

4 I'd also like to see McCain hit Obama as a typical liberal elitist college professor and an inexperienced corrupt political hack.

It would be nice to have an ad on the "negative rights" section as well. to paraphrase, the constitution says what the government can't do to you but sadly it doesn't say what the government can do for you. BO thinks of himself as JFK but that is the exact opposite of what JFK said.

Posted by: robtron12 at October 28, 2008 04:09 PM (gue+Q)

7 Okay, DrewM., well then the RNC is kicking ass to drag McCain over the finish line and keep a Marxist out.

Posted by: Christoph at October 28, 2008 04:09 PM (hawOV)

8 McCain should also take advantage of the Dow going up almost 900 points today. He could give voters the confidence that this is gonna pass. Voters are not rational on economy - they are just punishing the GOP because the markets were tanking

Ace,

Dow up 889ptd  10.88%.  Rally started at about the same time gallup came out with McCain behind 2pts.  not really related but about as related as Obama's claim that the crash was caused by Bush's failed 8 years of policies.

DOW is up 889pts.  biggest one day gain in history.  And no right wing blooger is covering it.  Are you all asleep?

Posted by: unseen at October 28, 2008 04:11 PM (aVGmX)

10 RNC has tons of cash, and are too chickenshit to raise Wright again.

We want it to last through the week.

If the market doesn't tank again before election day...  McCain's fundamentals are good.

But knock on wood until then.

Is this TV or web?  Nice ad.  My only dislike about it is that the average (read: dumbass) person viewing it would actually have to digest all those words Obama speaks and discern what they mean.  It's not exactly "Dick and Jane see spot."

Other than that, terrific.

15

someone at October 28,

you think anyone cared what happen to the market after the first pick sell off.  They heard Dow down again, down flat etc etc for tyhe last month.  They heard one day of a massive rally.  then nothing.   We need to grab the news cycle on this now and use it to drive home that the market will work if we let it.  It does not need fundemental change, income redistrubution.  It needs time to get thru its problems.

We need to use this news.  Now today.  It could sell off tommorrow and most likely will be down tommorrow on profit taking.  It need to be used now to drive the fact that the market is rallying at the same time Mccain is gaining in the polls.

I've got this cool idea:

when you vote for President you also have to answer 20 questions (e.g., who is the current speaker of the house?).  your vote counts by the number you get right.

I'll even spot the Democrats this... all 20 questions with answer can be posted in the voter information guides and on various websites.

18 Good thing Obama is such a good speaker. It is easy to understand his Marxist spew.

Posted by: robtron12 at October 28, 2008 04:24 PM (gue+Q)

19 Brothers and Sisters ... the polls are tightening.

And imagine ... if McCain wins this.  Imagine the furious anger of the radical left - having been foiled again by an emasculated Republican party with Karl Rove no where in sight.  Imagine the shock of the media as they are left to ponder the sell out of their professional ethics in return for ... nothing.  Imagine the shocked world which has been screaming! Obama! Obama!

Stay in the fight!  If we win this ... it will better than the US beating the Soviet Union at Hockey in the Olympics.  Better than the US Women's Soccer Team!

Hot Damn!  It will be sweet.

Stick with whats working, also they can't run Wright until after Obama big "look at me speech" otherwise Obama would get a chance to get the last word in on the matter.

you got to be kidding right?  give people a reason to vote for you.  Real news   try DOW up 11%.  Mccain down by 2pts and GOv PAlin in jeans in NC>

You want great news to GOTV.  You want people to rally.  a good market is the first thing you need for a good economy.  People have more money now to spend on Christmas.  On thanksgiving.

DOW 11%, Gov Palin in jeans and  MccCain down by 2 pts.   that is great news and a good day for the ticket.

23 new:

Having stupidity tests for voting sounds good on first blush. The problem is what actually happens in practice. When we get to a situation like what we expect next week - 60% Dems in the Senate - and the wording of the test would morph. It would all sound sane, but it would slip down to a list like this eventually:

When does life begin?
When was the first human born?
What was the name of the first human?
Do you feel guilty for having ancestors that owned slaves?

That is: most any construct of government is susceptible to the slow creeping of prejudices into subjective tests. And objective tests... aren't. "Who was elected President in 2000?" Well, all the sane people say Bush. But assume insanity in career bureaucrats. Of course this is overstating the case, but this process has already played out several times in recorded history. It sucks, let's avoid it.

27 21#, The huge reason to vote for McCain is because socialism, which is exactly what Obama is talking about scares the living pants off of most Americans.

With McCain, we know we have a guy we know, for better or worse who believes in the American capitalist system, if we ever purge the socialist junk that got us here.
And I realize that Obama believes he has this election wrapped up but couldn't they have waited until the votes were counted and McCain gives his concession speech before he altered his campaign emblems with a "red star"....we haven't turned that corner no matter how this shakes out.
