Anyone watch the new show Chocolate News with David Allen Grier?

I caught a few minutes here and there and 1) it's not funny, and 2) it's pretty much a Republican/white-male bash.

5 After seesawing between 3.2 and 3.9 points over the weekend, Obama's lead slipped to 2.8 Monday

And that was before the audio of Obama talking about wealth redistribution in '01 and the Constitution surfaced.

Powell just pulled a Biden

(Tom) BROKAW: If you were called into the Oval Office on January 21st by the new president, whoever it happens to be, and he said to you, “General Powell, I need from you your recommendation on where I begin. What should be my priorities,” where would you start?

POWELL: I would start with talking to the American people and talking to the world, and conveying a new image of American leadership, a new image of America’s role in the world.

The problems will always be there, and there’s going to be a crisis come along in the 21st or 22nd of January that we don’t even know about right now.

At this point, at least to me, there is no question that, as in 2004, the polls are wildly skewed in favor of the democrat candidate.  I don't think it's crazy partisan republican wishful thinking to believe that, with the polls closing so much, and there being so much evidence that these polls are far too heavily weighted toward the left, that McCain is now in the lead.

This is the first time I feel confident saying that.

He may be in the lead by three points or by eight, I don't know.  But, by looking at a variety of polls and their methods of sampling, and especially the fact that the early votes show no great democrat landslide, I am now absolutely positive McCain is in the lead.

Will he win?  I'm not saying that.  But nationally, I feel strongly he's ahead now.

No question.

this is ours!! Put your boots on the ground. door to door. Phone to phone.

On the 4th Senator Government will be made to return home.

Also, notice the huge number of undecided's. If they break 2-1 or 3-1 like they did for clinton in almost all of the primarys, Senator Government is toast.

All these polls with inflated leads for "That One" are simply a tool for the angry left to demoralize.

It will not work. We will not stand by as our freedom is threatened. Americans Unite.

Unite to take back our great country. Unite for a strong defense. Unite for an American Hero and True Leader. Unite for Sarah Palin.

We will not be silenced and we will not lose. Not this time.

34 There is also a very unintended but potentially very helpful effect of the poll bias supposed to demoralize Republicans. It could make the Dems believe in a landslide and stay away out of overconfidence.

Hey, I'll take it if it works.

35 McCain needs to go positive as a proton this week.  The other job candidate with all the credentials and passes the "diversity" test just blew a major interview question.  He needs to show his employers to be that what he lacks in youth and speed he makes up for with wisdom and guile.

Posted by: Big Fat Meanie at October 27, 2008 04:17 PM (n2eCn)

36 The less educated, the less they know about their Messiah's actual plans.

I was at a party this weekend, surrounded by Dems, and I was absolutely amazed by how shallow their depth of knowledge was.  Ever single item they mentioned about Palin, Obama, McCain, or the idiot, was wrong or incomplete.

Example:
Them:  "She fired that trooper!!"

Me: "Umm, no she didn't.  He still has a job.  And I guess, since you don't believe he should have been fired after tasering his 10-year-old son, driving his patrol car while drinking, threatening her parents and quite likely abusing his wife, you are pro-child abuse, pro-drunk-driving, pro-spousal abuse and pro-elderly abuse.  How progressive."

Them:  "Yeah, well, she had a baby with Down's Syndrome, so she shouldn't be running for VP!"

ME: "So you're against choice now, too?  Yeah, I guess she could have simply opted for the late-term abortion, comfortable with the knowledge that even if the baby was born alive, Obama would support her right to kill it anyway."

And on and on and on..

Best part of the night was getting the call from one of them when I got home, saying I had swayed her away from The One and that she was not aware of all the things I mentioned and that she will be doing some more research before voting.

That's all I asked of any of them.

"I'm surprised about the last one. Grier was just in American Carol as a slave of Michael Malone's. He appeared alongside Gary Coleman."

Not everyone involved in An American Carol was a conservative.  Some were just actors working.  Indeed, I heard Zucker talk about how Grier didn't even know what the film was about when he filmed his scene and was somewhat incredulous that Zucker was a conservative.

40 This is winnable. I do have to ask, who the heck are these undecideds at this point? This has been the longest most grueling election cycle in the memory of anyone alive today. How can there still be people who have not decided who they are voting for?

41 I run a B&B. Had two guests last night. They are independent voters in VA. They are both voting McCain. Sorry. I just don't believe that statistic at all.

Met another woman and her husband in late August. Long-time Democrats from Florida. They also were voting McCain.

These polls are WRONG.

I'd say the so-called Undecideds are almost all "shy McCain" voters who don't want to reveal their support.

Remember the adage- voting conservative is like masturbating; we know lots of people do it but nobody wants to admit it publicly.
