Obama's Campaign to the Media: Uncle Joe Biden - Crazy Like a Fox (Kat-Mo)

You know what the major problem of trying to keep up with all the Media bias is? We would need 24/7, minute by minute updates. In fact, it is so egregious right now, it is almost exhausting to even point it out. Like drowning in an ocean and pointing out that we're surrounded by water.

Your first response is, "No shit?"

Still, some things can be somewhat amusing...*glug*glug*

Analysis: Biden a reliable dumbass, but we're covering for him anyway.

Sen. Biden says such cute things. It's like watching your crazy Uncle Joe pat a skunk on the head thinking its a dog and then you laugh, laugh, laugh, because its just so damn funny when it sprays Uncle Joe. Or that time he threatened the mail man with a shotgun because Uncle Joe thought he was a flesh eating zombie. That guy is harmless, isn't he? Don't worry, cousin Barry took the shells out.

Man, that Uncle Joe is funny. It's really great to have him at the family barbecue. You know, when he keeps calling your Aunt Barbara a "Godless whore of Babylon". Made you spit out your beer, didn't he?

Then he had a fight with the table umbrella and swore it was attacking him all the while he was singing the theme song from The Man from La Mancha. Like he was Don Quixote on a mission.

By the end of the picnic, he stole cousin Chris' silver and ripped off your brother's wallet right before taking your brand new car for a spin through the neighbor's yard and over the fire hydrant.

But, seriously, Uncle Joe is a smart cookie, even if he is crazy as catfish in a dried up river. He's always saying those cute little homilies like, "You can put a cat in a bag, but it's against the law to drown'em." Or, you know, when he's out on the political stump, "Hey! You know the difference between my running mate and a $5 hooker? Me neither...wait a minute, that didn't come out right."

Then cousin David comes out of no where and tells everybody that Uncle Joe is just a regular card. Right before Uncle Joe stands on the picnic table and tells everybody to empty their wallets, its a stick up...er...we need to pay more taxes!

Yeah, that Uncle Joe. He's a laugh a minute. He's harmless, really, because Cousin Barry already snuck over to his house and emptied all the shells out of his Baretta over and under. Then he called up all the TV stations and reminded them that Cousin George Soros owns half their stock, if you know what I mean. *wink*wink*

You know, it takes some serious analysis to discover that the little audiences Uncle Joe draws shows up because they half expect him to strip off his clothes and run naked through the parking lot screaming, "Stand up! Stand up! Oh, God Bless you, you're a cripple!"

Finally, Cousin Chris Matthews shows and reminds everybody that the native Americans revered crazy people as messengers from the Great Father so pointing out that Uncle Joe is crazy as a loon is racist. Or, something.

Don't look now, but somebody needs to get Uncle Joe a towel. Again.

What's that thing with Matthews and Native Americans?

That AP article is disgusting... i read it a few hours ago. They actually put the word "Analysis" in the title, Biden is reliable running mate....

Unbelievable...and the article just recites that Biden is an insider and being an insider is helpful in Washington.

4 When Obama picked Biden for his running mate, I went on the record here at Ace of Spades saying that he is dumb as a box of hammers. It feels great to be proven right. Of course if Obama and Biden are elected, we are in big trouble. I guess I'll hole up in the desert til it's over.

7 "He's going to a lot of places where Barack certainly didn't do as well in the primaries and talking to folks and bringing them over," said 2004 Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, who is close to both men on the ticket. He said he encouraged Obama to pick Biden because of his experience in legislation, foreign affairs and politics.

So, is drudge claiming that Zogby has it at 3-point race again?  I don't think Zogby releases his single-day numbers, so could zogby have it a 3-point race the last three days?  That would be consistent with TIPP and battleground at least, so it cannot be dismissed as a complete outlier.

18 Joe Biden the concept is a lot stronger than Joe Biden the actual candidate.  The press doesn't cover the actual candidate but simply gives credit to the concept.  If the press did its job, it would focus on his ties to corporations and the credit card industry; I don't have any problem with such ties at all given my political affiiliation but the point is that he's presenting himself as a populist when he's been doing their bidding for his entire career.

If you're getting ready for bed, DON'T go over to The Corner at NRO to read what Mark Levin has to say.

When Levin sounds scared, it's cause to BE scared.

We all trot out "The Simpsons"'s Kent Brockman's line about welcoming our new overlords, but it is simply astounding to watch putative conservatives, even neo-cons like Adelman, purring and rubbing themselves against Obama's leg.  Even worse, the press's role in restraining government, a freedom raised to the level of a constitutional right, is being utterly subverted as the media actively hides and suppresses information about one candidate.

Thank GOD for the bazillion firearms out there --- we may need them.  I hope all you gun owners are laying in a good stock of ammunition, because you can be damn sure that The Number One Brother's jackbooted thugs are going to tell us that the 2nd amendment says nothing about the right to buy or own ammo.

24 Ever notice how a liberal dem that stays in the senate for 20+ years becomes the lovable lion (kennedy) and the conservative (helms) is a symbol of division?

Biden's problem is he starts going off topic and starts to say the truth. Then he backpedals and amends prior statement to fit talking points. I sort of like the guy. I like the he goes off the cuff and blows it. The thing I like most is that he is a Democrat.

Honestly, after this election the MSM should hire itself out as a public relations firm.

From Mark Moyar's column "1976 is Back" at NRO:

".....Biden asserted that an Obama administration would make unpopular decisions, because “if they're popular, they’re probably not sound.” As a consequence, “You all are going to be sitting here a year from now going, ‘Oh my God, why are they there in the polls, why is the polling so down?’” In other words, Obama’s poll numbers will fall once Americans learn that his popular promises of 2008 have been supplanted in 2009 by actions that most Americans oppose."

I'm asking myself:  so why is it that Bush's unpopularity is due to bad unpopular policies, but Barack's low polling numbers will mean his unpopular policies are good?

Crazy as a shit house rat, Biden is.

Since the party conventions, Biden's favorable ratings have steadily gone up. An Associated Press-Yahoo News poll conducted earlier this month found both Biden and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin were viewed favorably by 48 percent of respondents, but his figure was up from 37 percent the previous month, while hers remained about the same as her earlier 47 percent. And her unfavorables were rising, from 28 percent to 39 percent, while his went from 30 percent to 33 percent.

Geez, I wish I could get some of whatever it is that 48% of the public must be smoking.

Did you noticed they lied in the article and make it seem like JM and SP are lieing?

"Republicans John McCain and Sarah Palin have used that comment to suggest that Obama is not prepared to deal with such a problem. That's not what Biden said — he argued Obama would persevere because he's "got steel in his spine." But McCain is using a recording of Biden's comments in a new ad against Obama"

The ad is from the first speech but AP (and MSNBC) both just talk about the 2nd night when Biden tried to fix his mess.

AS a PUMA what I do NOT understand is This stuff went on thru out our Primary. Everything the Clintons and their supporters said was racist or little things were blown out of proportion, BUT Obama could do no wrong and never had negative stories, Heck they coverred for his mistakes and lies. They coverred for the caucus fraud we were screaming about, ect. SO why weren't you all expecting this and ready to really fight back and call out what was going on? WHY are you playing so nice?

82 Sheesh, a story has gone viral now about Palin. Asshole bastards:
http://tinyurl.com/5a5kjz

Aides to Sen. John McCain anonymously attacked Palin in several reports today, criticizing the Alaska governor for diverting from the McCain campaign’s message, suggesting Palin was unhappy with certain campaign aides and accusing her of thinking more about her political future than about the success of the McCain-Palin ticket.

In an interview with CNN today, one McCain adviser anonymously called Palin “a diva” and said “she is playing for her own future” political prospects.

“She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone,” the advisor told CNN. “She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else. Also she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: divas trust only unto themselves as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom.”

90 I have not followed Biden over the years, so forgive me if I am being naive, but I really think he is doing this shit on purpose.  It seems like the more the media covers for him, the more outrageous his fuck ups become.  I would not be the least bit suprised if he starts claiming that Obama is from Mars next week.

91 derak @89 Probably because (as I understand it) the widow of the photog is trying to make her nut by suing those who released it without her blessing. She's apparently made some headway.

Any name brand. Put them in your hand, be comfortable with size and grip. At least a 9mm or bigger. Most important, learn how to use it and practice.

56 Why did he pick Biden? Nothing I've heard convinces me.

(Not that I don't appreciate the gift that keeps on giving.)

Could be completely wrong but could it be because Biden's son the Del AG had Larry Sinclair arrested in DC and then the charges were dropped right around the Dem convention? That and he has Vera's ex-partner on his staff?

95 After years of putting off buying a handgun cause I'm too fucking cheap to spend that kinda money for something I "might need", I'm definitely buying one between now and Jan 20th. What caliber, brand, action, and all that other shit should I buy?

pg,

What Farmer said, but I would add, whatever you get, buy some spare parts and a case of ammo. Night sights and a good quality LED flashlight are also important.

If you don't have a long gun, get something. Surplus rifles are cheap (Mosin Nagant, SKS, Enfield) and so is the ammunition.

my guess is that Biden really doesn't bring anything to the ticket..  keeping Obama's Campaign  all about Obama..

a)  The way Biden was announced.. middle of the night, when everyone was asleep.

b)  He is really inter-changeable with any other old white democrat in Congress..

c)  Even the Obama/Biden rally signs have Biden in a different colored font..   to the point where if you stand back far enough, Biden's name dissapears but Obama's is still visable.

d)  the Invesco Field Greek Temple..

any other reader knows about the others.

.357 Magnum revolver

4 or 6 inch barrel

Smith & Wesson 686 or Ruger GP100

.357 Mag - the ultimate utilitarian hangun

Posted by: Hutch at October 26, 2008 01:05 AM (QcesB)

98 Get what fits your hand, minimum of 9mm or 38 Special plus-P, which is halfway to .357 magnum  in a wheelgun (revolver). Both will do in a pinch but the larger the roound you get the more energy you dump into your target when it hits. Please remember that a handgun is a defensive weapon of last resort and you are far better off with an old M1 Carbine with its roundnose ammo at 1990 to 2000 FPS, feet per second, than any pistol up to the .40 caliber range. Also short barreled carbines tend to be easier to shoot that handguns due to the longer sighting plain of the factory sights. Get used to whatever you buy, lay in alot of ammo now whether McCranky or the Teleprompter Messiah wins and get ready for a winter of discontent.
If Obama wins and gets the Congressional Supermajority of his wetdreams, the party that was free America is over, quickly.
If the Obnoxious One loses, get ready for public riots, civil disobedience on an grand scale and more than a little death in there for dramatic purposes, from the losing side. Party will still be over,  for a long while.

Either way, for the next six months or more, it's gonna suck to be living here.
The upside of all this, if there is one, is that Mac Winning, if he pulls off that kind of Trumanesque Feat, will allow the mugs running the Markets to get back to running the markets and not trying to find tax-sheltered annuities and a place in Bimini, away from Barry's horde of IRS whores...which is why the markets have been tanking since The One's polls began climbing and an anti- Obama mania swept Wall Street.
Vote your pocket book not Barry's...

99 And remember that you get a gun, be ready to use it...or have it used against you in turn.

Posted by: johnjacobjingleheimersmith and wesson at October 26, 2008 01:41 AM (VOq1V)

100 Try Taurus revolvers, Smith and Wesson, Ruger, and amongst semi auto pistols try the SIGs, I got one, the Springfield XDs, I got one, the Glock, I had several, and maybe the Ruger semi autos, I have had several of those as well. All worked just fine when used correctly.

Big bullets equal big stopping power, end of discussion. Size counts.

Any well made, brand name gun is good enough to do anything you need done with little or no alterations after purchase. Just get really practiced and proficient with it before you trust your life to it.

Hope my ramblings have helped, a little.

Cheers.

102 And Uncle Joe Biden is a crap eating, stumble-bum  assclown, just to touch base with the actual theme of this blog...If his IQ is 140, 125 of it is dedicated to pulling his foot out of his mouth and his head out of his arse...the other 15% covers breathing and combing his plugs.

Riiiight. So, when a stout liberal Dem I know reacted to the Biden pick thusly; "Joe FUCKING BIDEN??!?!?"....in total befuddlement, that was a good thing.

108 NEDRA PICKLER=Lefty Tool
AP has redefined reality!?

I'm not surprised nor entertained.
The Media has gone crazy and just don't seem to represent anything I would pay attention to.

Facts are facts and the Congressional Record is there for all to see. Mr. Obama's history is so vague that I have difficulty putting much credence and anything he has to present.

Joe Biden is a certifiable NUT! How many times does this guy get to demonstrate his propensity to say the wrong ting at the wrong time? Axelrod must have an extra roll of toilet paper on hand at all times to take care of the times he shits his pants over some dipshit thing that Uncle Joe has said.

I laugh at his antics but, it truly scares me to think this man is this close to being the Vice President of the United States.

109 "The advantage you have here is you've got in Joe Biden somebody who's seen a lot of mistakes made in Washington..." -- JFKerry

I agree, nobody has seen more mistakes first hand, many of them his own, than Biden. Of course he hasn't noticed most of them yet, but still that experience can't be made up for with intelligence or reading about it while shooting doves.
