Obama Wants to Prosecute Those Seeking to Prevent Vote Fraud
Update: Bloomberg Deletes the Quote? Huh?

Breathtaking.

Barack Obama's campaign attorney today asked Attorney General Michael Mukasey to add a probe into allegedly false Republican claims of voter fraud to the investigation into the firings of U.S. attorneys.

Republican voter-fraud accusations ``seek both to suppress the vote and to unduly influence investigations and prosecutions,'' wrote Robert Bauer, general counsel for the Democratic presidential nominee.

Bloomberg Walk-Back? Or Cover-Up? The Bloomberg story that JWF and I quote did contain that quote.

It no longer does. Claire writes:

I checked the Bloomberg article that JammieWearinFool cited -- it's different than you and he quoted.

Now it's all about the news leaks.

Googlenews still has the "Mukasey to add a probe into allegedly false Republican claims of voter fraud" word string in it. Just not the article it points to....
[screencapped]

The wind is chillier than I thought.

Now, Bloomberg's quote was, indeed, a quote. They quoted specific language from a letter.

Did they really err in reporting this? Or did Obama simply demand they retract?

Hmm... Well, now when I click on the article, the story still says that Obama is demanding an investigation into those who allege voter fraud, but the quote from the letter is disappeared.

Seems to be a work in progress.

Vote fraud doesn't just screw over Republicans. It's a crime with bipartisan victims.

OBAMA MUST LOSE.  All the people saying they will send donations to an effort to vet the media, please, please listen to me.  DO NOT take your eyes off the ball.  18 days is all we have......focus on first things first.

Send those donations to McCain/Palin Victory Fund.  They can use those donations to pay for legal and accounting expenses.  It looks like there will be legal expenses, doesn't it?

Bush isn't going to step up, but McCain and Palin will.

21 everyday I wake up in a state of anxiety over the prospect of Obama becoming the next president. I just think McCain needs divine intervention at this point -- whether that comes in the form of some October surprise-- great. As a former Chicagoan, I hope all those people who show up on election night at Grant Park for his party freeze their collective liberal asses off.

31 This is how the Republic ends and the reign of Barack Mugabe and his Democratic thugs begins.

My prediction?

Even this will not excite the silent majority into action.  In fact ... a majority of Americans are likely to go the polls and place these "freedom killers" in power because of misplaced notions that the Republicans are solely responsible for the current financial predicament.

I think we are headed for a violent conflict between those who would change the Republic into a Socialist Dictatorship and those who wish to retain the freedoms and liberty their forebears bestowed upon them.  But when it comes, it will be latter who will be at a disadvantage because the former will firmly hole the reigns of power.

The Democrats are caught in a predicament.  If they proceed with the "reforms" they seek to implement, they will surely be thrown out of office in two years.  This leaves them a choice ... they can either rule from the center and give up their radical liberal agenda, or ... they can find a way to "game" the system.

With Democrats fully in charge of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches of Government and with "MoveOn.org" breathing down their necks ...

Which do you think they will choose?

People better wake up.  I would rather stand in the street and protest NOW and shout these punks down ... than wait until later when the only choice is fight.  We are losing our liberty here folks.

43 I know there are several other true, born-again, evangelical Christians that visit this site. My church is having a weekend of 24/7 prayer before the election. I seriously suggest those who are Christians or even those who are concerned about the fate of this country, PRAY. Pray hard. Pray that the Lord Jesus Christ will have mercy on this country and not allow the godless liberals like Obama take over.

Seriously. At this point, God is the only one who can help us now. The media, the elites and the Obamatrons are not going to go down easy. If they succeed and take over the country, we are in big trouble.

2 Chronicles 7:14 is particularly appropriate at this time.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Christians and concerned Americans need to get on our faces before God and seek his mercy and protection before it is too late.

Heard on Rush this am via Greta Van Susteren (and I'm gonna show legal ignorance here now...) that SEIU filed a motion along w/ Brunner to the Supreme Court to send it back to Ohio (or however they do that).  SEIU (service workers union) was founded by Wade Rathke.  Wade Rathke founded Acorn.  Wade Rathke's brother embezzeled $1million from acorn when he was exec director, but sat there for 10 years before he stepped down in June.  They didn't inform the board until recently.  Wade Rathke founded the SDS Students for Democratic Society, which, voila, the weather underground spun off from.  Who is Bill Ayers again?

From the posts here, it sounds like too many folks on our side have traded their anger in for despair. I think it's a bit too early for that. We still have time to fight this. Prayer is nice. I pray for many things, including the strength to deal with whatever comes on 11/4 and beyond. However, prayer is no substitute for action. We have to start by doing everything we can to prevent Obama from being elected. We must also protect all of our friends running for their lives in the house, senate, statehouse, etc...

Once the election is over, we need to take a close look at the institutions that have been failing us and plan corrective action. In order to bring about the change we need, we will have to be motivated and angry.

I think I may have gotten myself into a bit of trouble.  I used to be fairly liberal and often posted on a very small blog.  The two blog host there know who I am, where I work, and where I live -- hell, I even contributed money to them earlier this year.  I swore to stay away, after they became Obama cultists, but just couldn't resist going there tonight.  Of course, they're all celebrating Obama's request for investigation of people who dare to question ACORN.  They're just terrified of mean old Republicans suppressing votes.  So, I just posted a little comment:  "I think illegal votes should be suppressed, don't you?"  The responses were amazing.  I expect a crowd with pitchforks outside my house before midnight.  These people are rabid and mean.  I don't know what I ever saw in them.

I certainly didn't see it as "us against them" or "let's sit around and do nothing but mutter prayers and see what happens."

I work in soup kitchens and Food for the Poor is my favorite charity, but I haven't yet stopped praying for an end to starvation and misery.

And regardless of the preceding, TALK to people and WORK for the ticket.

The strong desire for Tiffany jewelry could be seen as my vain and florid dreams and I will lose interesting in others only for this. While Tiffany & Co. is a grand company which stands for another kind of US beauty, the company Tiffany and Co really does a lot to better our life. Thank you very much for your understanding. May Jesus bless you.
