"Spread the Wealth Around"

Neat little over-the-top semi-parody video.

I link mainly just to keep this soundbite alive-- it's a killer.

Well, not a killer on its own. Thanks to the Democrats blaming our woes on capitalism, and McCain doing not much at all to put the blame on the socialist policies of Fannie and hard left radical intimidation tactics of ACORN, the country is in the mood for a little socialism.

But link this to the Fannie subprime mess and the soft socialist Democrats' building off the bomb: Could work.

It was socialistic spread-the-wealth policies that got us into this mess. The government -- meaning you -- subsidized these high-risk loans. This superheated the housing market into a bubble until it burst, crashing the economy. And now you are on the hook for all of these awful loans, because the soft socialists in the Democrat party wanted to "spread the wealth around." The wealth of houses people couldn't afford.

This is the election.

This is the election.

This is the election.

Thanks to 357.

i would not say it is over the top. Obama is endorsed by every socialist and communist party in our country. His preacher and Ayers and his mentor Frank Davis are all into communism and Black Supremacy.

That spread the wealth line could be a savior for our salvation.

6 Actually, it's a perfect line to tie in to the Financial Crisis.

Obama and the Dems were just 'spreading the wealth around' when they pushed lenders to give away money to bad risks.

10 Do the McCain people listen to prominent bloggers and consider what they say when throwing it into their decision-making mix, humor bloggers, or basically ignore them?

I don't know the answer. I'm not sure if Ace knows the answer. I'm curious.

15 Regarding Colin Powell, I read somewhere that Colin Powell told McCain he'd endorse Obama if McCain used Rev. Wright.

Don't know which way the endorsement will go, but it doesn't matter. No effect. But failing to use Wright is a huge effect.

16 at the internet outreach level ( a low level, I'm thinking), they are basically aware of the blogosphere's desires.  when they do something they know will please us, they send cheeky little emails like "how you like that?" like with the palin pick, or mccain's long-overdue mostly-internet ad about fannie and acorn.

But  i don't really think this stuff filters up very far, or even if it does, it gets dismissed.

mccain HAS made some issue of fannie/ACORN.  I can't lie and say he's not saying ANYTHING.  He has.  He will continue.

But the feeling i get is that he still views this as, at best, a defense, a throw-away line to deflect blame.

I am quite sure they do not view it as a winning issue.  or else they'd be beating it like a redheaded stepchild who is actually a lycanthrope who transforms into a rented mule.

Why?  I don't know.  they have two focus groups saying otherwise.  I get why they would disbelieve an armchair analyst with no rigorous statistics to back him up, but now they have data in hand.

soft socialists in the Democrat party

Soft socialists?  Maybe between their legs and/or their ears.  These people are hard left Marxists, and some are even Stalinists.

I've got a bad feeling about election night, no matter which way it goes.  Think Detroit Pistons winning the NBA championship and how the hometown homies went wild.

Do you not accept that Powell is a free man with years of accomplishment andm at times brave service to his credit, who can endorse whom he pleases?

Powell served in a white Republican's adminstration, head of a largely white U.S. military, etc. While I would prefer if Powell was a lot more conservative than he is, I don't think he's necessarily racist to endorse Obama.

I'm not saying you were accusing him of that. I hope you weren't. I'm simply making the point.

Could it be his wealth of military experience?

Or maybe it's his awesome grasp of economics?

Just curious?

36 Christoph - My distaste for Powell's potential endorsement of Obama is similar to my distaste toward Buckley. Why would any Rep vote for Obama/Biden ticket, the #1 and #3 Liberals in Congress? Are Powell's reasons the same as Buckleys? Perhaps not. Should I have implied Powell might endorse Obama because of his race? Probably not. My apologies if I got your panties in a ruffle.

39 kimberly , I have yet to hear one liberal dem Obama supporter give me a satisfactory explanation as to why they are voting for Obama . They are all voting against Bush . It would seem that most "Obamacans" are pretty much in lockstep with that " I'll show them!" mindset. They love the "O" but know nothing of the person behind it.

I actually appreciate the relative honesty of my black co-workers who are voting for Obama "to get a brother in the White House". Shallow ,bigoted, selfish and misguided reasoning but I can at least understand it somewhat.
