4 Brad Johnson is a good backup. Not nearly as mobile, less of a consistent threat, but will probably have fewer turnovers. He'll have to manage the game more.

The Cowboys will turn more to their running game, which may not be such a bad thing. Garrot has been ignoring it a bit.

This is not as big of a loss as it may be for other teams. It's not good. But it's not devastating.

5 As an Eagles Fan, this is very sad news for the most over hyped piece of crap team ever. The division will finish giants 1 eagles 2. wash 3. dallassss. LAST.

8 Honestly, this may not be as important as the continuing injury to Newman.  With Pacman's imminent suspension that leaves about the worst secondary in the NFC.

But yea, HA HA.

Dear Jessica Simpson,

It is time you hooked up with a real man.  A guy like me would've just bit my finger off and spit it in the opponents face.

That Tina Romo chick you're dating probably giggles during sex; real men growl and break stuff.

I can say I'm sorry about this but I'd be lying.

I quit watching football games many years ago, when I realized the goal of many players wasn't just to win the game, but to injure opponents ... preferably for life.

When it became fashionable, as above, to express indifference toward or even approval of such injuries, I started ignoring football entirely.

That sentiment belongs on battlefields, not football fields.

"That sentiment belongs on battlefields, not football fields."

Lighten up Francis.  NFL players are not intentially trying to end anyones' careers.  I've known one or two and while they play hard on the field there is respect for the injurious nature of the game as every one of them understands it could be them with a career ending injury on any given play.  They play to win, not to destroy each other.

Basking in the afterglow of my Saints winning (and another 200-point week from my fantasy team), a few thoughts...

1) Geez. Is Randy Moss phoning it in or what? The Patriots are going to be lucky to finish .500.

2) Talk about the wheels coming off the Cowboys... let's not kid each other, guys, they looked pretty damned bad against Cincinnati, and let's not even talk about how bad they played against 'Zona.

3) What the hell happened to Carolina yesterday?

4) Not that my Saints have any room to gloat (having given the game to Minnesota last week), but damn, did the Vikings ever look bad against the Lions.

5) No excuse for the 'Skins phoning it in against the Rams... nor for the Bears losing to the Falcons.
