| PUMAs Needed: Big Story May Be on Way About Ayers-Obama But Help NeededA reporter at a major media organization (not Fox) is sitting on a story that rubbishes the "guy from the neighborhood" claim. But he's either unwilling to run it himself, as he will basically call Obama a straight-up liar, or else his organization is killing the story by ever-growing demands of proof. So: I've been asked to solicit the collective brain trust of the PUMAs for information. Specifically, if you are in Obama's neighborhood in Chicago, or know someone who is, and know details of the Obama-Ayers relationship, contact me. To really be helpful you'd have to go on the record, probably, but if you don't want to, blind stuff will help too. Don't fish me if you're an Obot. I'm not going to give up the details of the story to anyone; I'm going to wait for them to say the key fact. Hopefully if someone knows what I'm talking about, and can go on the record about it, we can overcome this guy's forbearance (or forbiddance) and get the story out. But we probably need one more on the record source to do so. If you guys have anything else, now would be the time to say so.CommentsPosted by: Ed at October 12, 2008 04:54 PM (taXMV) 2

Ace, you're doing good work, but I'm going to have to request that you change your name to Ace of Hearts. "Spade" is just totally too racist, intentional or not, and we are running an honorable campaign here. Don't you want your liberal readers to know your compassionate side? What about the undecided? Help us win by changing everything about yourself, and accepting the premises of your opponents, for honor's sake.

f you guys have anything else, now would be the time to say so.
Don't know if you've seen this before: Obama and Ayers were on a panel discussion with 2 others in a room that could only hold 100 people, and Michelle Obama was involved with it. http://chronicle.uchicago.edu/971106/justice.shtml Ayers, who spent a year observing the Cook County Temporary Juvenile Detention Center in Chicago, is one of four panelists who will speak on juvenile justice at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in the C-Shop. The panel, which marks the 100th anniversary of the juvenile justice system in the United States, is part of the Community Service Center's monthly discussion series on issues affecting the city of Chicago. The event is free and open to the public. Ayers will be joined by Sen. Barack Obama, Senior Lecturer in the Law School, who is working to combat legislation that would put more juvenile offenders into the adult system... One hundred years later, the system is "overcrowded, under-funded, over-centralized and racist," Ayers said. Michelle Obama, Associate Dean of Student Services and Director of the University Community Service Center, hopes bringing issues like this to campus will open a dialogue between members of the University community and the broader community. "Students and faculty explore these issues in the classroom, but it is an internal conversation," Obama said. "We know that issues like juvenile justice impact the city of Chicago, this nation and -- directly or indirectly -- this campus. This panel gives students a chance to hear about the juvenile justice system not only on a theoretical level, but from the people who have experienced it." This is off topic, but I went to costco today and it looked like the mormons were stocking up on things. I would guess that about one in five people had one of those push carts stacked with things like rice, canned goods, flour etc... Mormons, that means you csdeven, did they tell you something at Church today that the rest of us need to know about? "Mormons don't shop on Sundays fool" Shenanigans! I can recognize a mormon buying a fifty pound bag of flour when I see one. Are you trying to tell me a bunch of ex-mo's (remember, I can tell if someone is from Utah by looking at them and the people I watched today have relatives in Utah) all decided to go to Costco and buy one hundred pounds of rice around the time the first mormon church service probably ended? I doubt it! Someone issued some sort of decree and they went to Costco to stockpile. What happened this morning that convinced them that it was time to fill the pantry? Imo, someone issued a statement of some sort that would probably be passed around in churches around the country and I want to know who said what. LDS members don't have to suddenly rush out to stockpile. They always have a stockpile in their homes. AND the bishops warehouse is always kept full. Sunday is a VERY sacred day. They do not shop on Sundays. Posted by: pajama momma at October 12, 2008 10:08 PM (f3xJa) 50

Sometimes it is sacred and sometimes they are watching the NFL and drinking. It is LDS so at any time god might call them and tell them to go buy one hundred pounds of rice even on Sunday. Posted by: Steve at October 12, 2008 10:25 PM (GNCy6) 51

Posted by: steve poling at October 12, 2008 11:25 PM (UWHTf) 54
They do not think God is telling anyone to stockpile rice if you ask them as a person rather than a Mormon. Mormons stockpile because it is part of the plan and they are expected to share with one another if everything goes horribly wrong. They say God wants them to do it when they are at the meeting, but when you talk to the same person in a bar they will tell you that they doubt the whole "God speaking with the manager of Rite-Aid" thing and go along with it because it is their tradition and a smart thing to be doing in the first place. Jack Cashill is saying that Ayers ghost-wrote "Dreams From My Father". About all he's proven is motive and proximity to the crime, but his stuff is interesting even though if it were a murder trial we'd have to let the guy off based upon the burden of proof "beyond a reasonable doubt" Kind of like the O.J. trial, but with marginally smarter jurers... Anyway, if this could actually be proven it might make a difference to 4% of the electorate who fall within the category of tepid Obama "leaners", which is all we'd need to win in November. So, that could be a big deal. If someone came up with a real paper trail or somebody willing to talk. I'm pretty sure Cashill doesn't have that, though.
