IBD: Obama's Dirty Little ACORNS

Push it real good.

What does all this have to do with Obama, besides the fact that he'd be the beneficiary of most, if not all, of these new votes?

For starters, Obama paid ACORN, which has endorsed him for president, $800,000 to register new voters, payments his campaign failed to accurately report. (They were disguised in his FEC disclosure as payments to a front group called Citizen Services Inc. for "advance work.")

What's more, Obama worked as executive director of ACORN's voter-registration arm, Project Vote, in 1992. Joined by two other community organizers on Chicago's South Side, Obama conducted the voter-registration drive that helped elect Carol Moseley-Braun to the Senate that year.

The next year, 1993, Obama joined the civil-rights law firm Davis Miner Barnhill & Galland, where he sued the state of Illinois on behalf of ACORN to implement the federal "Motor Voter" law, which the GOP governor at the time refused to do. Then-Gov. Jim Edgar argued, presciently, that the Clinton law would invite voter fraud.

Obama downplays his ties to ACORN, and his campaign denies coordinating with ACORN to register voters.

Meantime, New Orleans-based ACORN maintains that it has no control over volunteers who are falsifying application forms, that they're like employees who steal from the store.

But the fraud is widespread and not isolated. It also turns out that some ACORN execs allegedly are involved in a $1 million embezzlement cover-up at their headquarters. Representing them in the case is none other than Michelle Obama's old law firm in Chicago.

ACORN's corruption is not just out in the field, as they claim. There's a pattern of corruption from the top down.

McCain would be wise to start preparing a challenge to voter registration rolls should he lose the race in a close contest. He'd be crazy not to contest the results in light of these events.

Another IBD article takes aim at Obama's not-so-stealth socialism.

(Voters might also be interested to know that Obama, the supposed straight shooter, does not once mention his father's communist leanings in an entire book dedicated to his memory.)

In Kenya's recent civil unrest, Obama privately phoned the leader of the opposition Luo tribe, Raila Odinga, to voice his support. Odinga is so committed to communism he named his oldest son after Fidel Castro.

With his African identity sewn up, Obama returned to Chicago and fell under the spell of an Afrocentric pastor. It was a natural attraction. The Rev. Jeremiah Wright preaches a Marxist version of Christianity called "black liberation theology" and has supported the communists in Cuba, Nicaragua and elsewhere.

Obama joined Wright's militant church, pledging allegiance to a system of "black values" that demonizes white "middle classness" and other mainstream pursuits.

(Obama in his first book, published in 1995, calls such values "sensible." There's no mention of them in his new book.)

With the large church behind him, Obama decided to run for political office, where he could organize for "change" more effectively. "As an elected official," he said, "I could bring church and community leaders together easier than I could as a community organizer or lawyer."

He could also exercise real, top-down power, the kind that grass-roots activists lack. Alinsky would be proud.

Throughout his career, Obama has worked closely with a network of stone-cold socialists and full-blown communists striving for "economic justice."

Thanks to Jim and my brother, who mom never really loved, respectively.

Good thing about all this, is that there is no money left. Even Europe couldn't sustain what they had, no way we can add more free stuff and not collapse.

Won't they be surprised.

8 Hope we can get the video of this:

Sarah Palin, following up, took a shot at the media. "Mainstream media isn't already asking all these questions, you guys have to help us....When will the questions be asked and when will we get answers?!"
UPDATE: The next question came from a black McCain supporter, who reminded McCain of the candidate's plea at the convention for his supporters to do everything possible to ensure a victory. The supporter said: "I doubt that anyone has taken, pardon me, the ass-whoopin' I have taken for doing that." He then implored McCain to go after Barack Obama at the next debate and asked him to raise ACORN and Reverend Wright. "I am begging you, sir," he said, as the crowd stood and applauded.

"Yes, I'll do that," McCain responded, before promising to offer "a positive plan for America's economy."

9 Nobody cares.
Don't be so sure. Here's an example.
In Ohio, Obama is leading McCain by roughly 3%. It was just announced that 33,000 registrations are bing disallowed by the state. Given that these new registrations are overwhelmingly Dem, that could be the margin right there.
Similar things are happening in swing states all over the country. You can bet your ass that the RNC is all over the states to make sure they get as much of this crap cleaned up as possible.
Keep the pressure on. This could be the end of ACORN and the rest of these scummy organizations.

12 I am wondering if we will see another Civil War in our lifetimes.

No, first thing on their list is to round up the "real terrorists" -- gun owners, christianists, etc. The ACLU will help with the rounding up.

Conservatives and the GOP, being the country-club pussies they are, won't say shit till it's too late.

Leftists are vipers. We invited vipers into our bed. We deserve to be bit.

I don't think when the time comes to round up the guns that it will go over very well. That is the only freedom that has been stood up to every single time it has been tried. That would be the spark to light up the tinder box. The politicians are pussies. The base isn't rolling over.

the opposition Luo tribe, Raila Odinga, to voice his support. Odinga is
so committed to communism he named his oldest son after Fidel Castro.

He did a hell of a lot more than just phone Odinga, he campaigned (at rallys, in person) for him 2 years ago.

There are videos and stills to prove it.

33 In answer to #9:
Here in Michigan we are being subjected, treated to news reports that "thousands of eligible" votes will be not counted. No follow up, just the news report, but I think it is referring to the acorn votes. Obama-in spite of the mess Kwame Kilpatrick and Jennifer Granholm have made of Michigan-is held in high esteem here. I am not sure the populace is going to allow ACORN to be discontinued. Regardless of how the Democrat party has screwed these people over and over, they keep buying all of their crap. Levin has not even had to campaign this year.

35 Let me tell you a little story about Motor-voter and potential for fraud. When the Clinton law was passed, Army recruiting stations were required to ask all applicants and interviewees if they wished to register to vote. Not all qualified folks, ALL. I pointed out to our Bn. command group that we dealt with a lot of folks with an I-551 card (green card), and per the regulation, we were required to ask them if they wished to register. And we were required to submit the registration. So even if I knew for a fact that someone was ineligible to vote, I could find myself registering them. Stupid. Battalion came back and said, yes, indeed, that was the case.

37 XBradTC: So even if I knew for a fact that someone was ineligible to vote, I

I'm not (nor have I ever been) in the service, so I don't know how this would go over, but I like to think were I in the same position, I would complete the application and submit it along with a note stating that I was required to submit the application under Regulation XXXXX, but that this application is being submitted by a person unqualified to vote for XXX reason. Such action is consistent with law and still fulfills the obligation to abide by the regulation.

Woulda/shoulda, though. Honestly, I know nothing and am probably talking out of my ass.
