Big: Scrubbed Web Pages Resurface Naming Obama As Member of Expressly-Leftist "New Party"

>

We spent a month on Palin's nonexistent membership in the AIP.

newparty.jpg

Anyone think the MSM will follow-up here?

The New Party was a radical left organization, established in 1992, to amalgamate far left groups and push the United States into socialism by forcing the Democratic Party to the left. It was an attempt to regroup the forces on the left in a new strategy to take power, burrowing from within. The party only lasted until 1998, when its strategy of fusion failed to withstand a Supreme Court ruling, but after, but the membership, including Barack Obama, continued to move the Democrats leftward with spectacular success.

More at Nice Deb. Actually not much more, but instead a nice tiny-bites digest.

First Link: Since this guy did the detective work, maybe check him first.

Look, there has long been speculation that this asshole didn't meet Ayers in Chicago, but rather at Columbia, where both were when Obama was there. The suspicion is that Ayers is hardly "just a guy from a neighborhood," but rather a mentor who shaped his career -- including getting him a job as a community activist.

Does this prove that? Not yet. We'll see.

Bleg: Can someone -- multiple people, really -- start backing up the archive.org pages Politically Drunk found, before they are disappeared?

No Quarter Has More; Pardon the lack of hat tip, I'm just scrambling to get this up.

No Quarter has more. A reader calls it "pretty well sourced."

It's Old? Human Events had this in June.

So what? It's new to me, and new to most of the public. Plus I think the documents are new.

Why would the media follow up if they are also Communists?

Crazy times we live in...

2 Sigh...follow-up?  Why would the MSM want to do that?

It's not something that I've heard too many people say in the past couple of months...but how much is the national political discussion missing Tim Russert right now?  Say what you want about his personal politics, but as an interviewer, the man was, by and large, eminently fair, and, most importantly, tough on both sides.

If we covered this, we'd have to put more people on Palin's non-existent membership in the AIG, and we're running low on people to send because, as you know, we're in a recession.

So we're not going to be able to cover this.  Our teams are still busy going through the dumpsters in Wasilla.  We're sure there's something there.

50 I'm afraid we are getting to the dead girl/live boy part of the campaign.  MSM has come to far shoveling anything that might hurt the one under the rug.  They are not going to let a little thing like the membership in a fringe group throw them off their stride.  This does seem right up Drudge's alley though.

52 The sad fact is that in the 90's the Democratic Party moved center-right. The centrists led by Clinton and the DLC took over. It's good to see America moving to the Left again. The upshot is that there will be pressure on the GOP to move to the center and start listening to people like David Brooks, Andrew Sullivan, and Tom Davis.

66 Barak Obama is serving only his second term in the Illinois State Senate so he might be fairly charged with ambition, but the same might have be said of Bobby Rush when he ran against Congressman Charles Hayes. Obama also has put in time at the grass roots, working for five years as a community organizer in Harlem and in Chicago. When Obama participated in a 1996 UofC YDS Townhall Meeting on Economic Insecurity, much of what he had to say was well within the mainstream of European social democracy.

That paragraph really doesn't need much explanation.
Has Obama ever claimed to be a community organizer in Harlem?
I'm assuming this was while he was at Columbia?
More Ayers activity?

Another equally disturbing person who deserves a lot of scrutiny is Mike Klonsky.  Klonsky was an SDS/Weathermen colleague of Ayers and Dohrn and one who remains very close to Ayers.  So close in fact that Ayers and Klonsky worked on the Small Schools Workshop in Chicago.  So close in fact that the Annanberg Challenge which Ayers and Obama ran gave Klonsky a $175,000.

Here's what Klonsky was up to after the demise of SDS:

Between 1979 and 1981, the CPML, which had become internationally recognized as China's favorite American party (CPML chairman Mike Klonsky was repeatedly feted with state-dinner-level visits to Beijing), dissolved in a rapid series of factional splits and departures. Elbaum sadly relates the human and emotional toll exacted by the movement's implosion, as "many veterans experienced something resembling post-traumatic stress syndrome." For many, their bitterness was so profound that they "simply abandoned political work altogether."

Not to worry, he found his way back into politics when he found the right candidate.

Up until earlier this year when he joined Wright, Pflegler, Obama's typically white granny and host of others under the bus, Mike Klonsky, former SDS/Weathermen terrorist, close friend of Ayers, and proud communist , chairman of the CPML party and supporter of communist China, was a blogger for Obama.

Kinda like how Ali just f'ing WAILED on his opponent with punches too fast to count, after rope-a-doping for round after round.

What is wrong with McCain's campaign staff?  Can't they tape him practicing debating, etc., and give him some constructive criticism.... please?

McCain assumes that the public is as well-read as he is, so he mentions things but never follows through to "connect the dots".  As a result, the "undecideds" have no idea what McCain is talking about.  He needs to be more EXPLICIT and SPELL EVERYTHING OUT.

I fault his campaign staff... they SUCK if they think the average person is a policital junkie, political science major, tax specialist.

MOST PEOPLE need to have stuff spelled out!  Example -- most people do NOT know that Obama can't give a tax cut to 95% of the people, because at least half of them are already paying no taxes.  WHY CAN'T MCCAIN'S STAFF GET HIM TO DO THAT?

This is making me crazy....

89 Everything's Awesome Sucks.  As I was typing my last post, I got a phone call from the McCain campaign and let it go through to the machine.

Here are the talking points:

1) Barak/Congressional allies too extreme for America.  2) Congress/Barack making politics more divisive.  3) Juan/Sarah have history of reaching across the aisle.  4, 5 6) Running against own party leadership to break the "old boy" network, pork and wasteful spending.

My reaction, 1st point: no shit, 2nd point: who cares, 3rd point: retching a little, 4,5, 6th points: really I didn't know that. Tell me, did John serve in the military too? Because if he did, then he's got my vote.

Where has Bush being more like the Demos gotten the Republicans?

Another intellectually lazy comment.

OK, I'll get off my ass and name a few of things if that makes you happy.  One, fucking federal spending has gone through the roof.  Two, Medicare Prescription Drug boondoggle.  Three, NCLB co-authored by the drunk senator from Massachusetts who has been in office longer than I've been alive.

And maybe I should have said, where has it gotten us?

97 And maybe I should have said, where has it gotten us?

It got the GOP an unprecedentedly-cooperative-with-the-big-government-Democrats candidate, namely McCain (though Nixon was no lazy faire advocate himself). Of course, you'd think Bush's big-government would appeal to the commies agitating for just that, but it doesn't.

While you'd think that would at least make McCain more electable, the opposition is built on a campaign of disinformation, evidently driven by an underlying nihilism that seeks to destroy everything in order remake it under its own power.

There's an ideology there, but it's not what they want you to think it is.

Moveon.org started in 1998 when the NP stopped. Any relation between the two ?

Oh well, as long as we get the word out.

101 Does this appeal to anybody out there?

This thing is fucking over.

I'll rephrase it then -- If not, then this thing is fucking over because Juan sure as hell isn't gonna go after Bambi as hard as he's been having Sarah do.  Five minutes of bashing Bambi about FM/FM the other day and everybody thought that he was finally gonna take it to him.  Then he tried to out-Democrat the Democrats last night by saying the Fed should by up bad mortgages and renegotiate them.

So sorry that my pessimistic opinions don't please you.  Yes, there is a world of difference between Juan and Bambi.  If he does win and manages to "break the old boy network, pork and wasteful spending, then he should be christened "the One".

Bush's deficit in relation to GDP is less than Reagan's.  Besides your #1 being basically the same as your general complaint of #2 and #3,  both these programs have arguably been a success. I guess Ronald Reagan was more like a Demo because of his two of his Supreme Court picks or his signing of the amnesty bill or his failure to do away with the Dept of Education or the fact we lost more seats in Congress during his time than Bush's or his failure to try to reform SS or his withdrawal from Lebannon or the number of indictments / convictions of his administration or his friendly relationship with Tip O'Neil.  The disconnect between calling Reagan the greatest conservative ever and calling Bush a RINO is astounding.  An intellectually honest person would find a middle ground.

Posted by: polynikes at October 08, 2008 05:16 PM (m2CN7)

103 Reagan's 1986 income tax reform goes a long way toward making up for other issues, in my mind.

Posted by: polynikes at October 08, 2008 05:41 PM (m2CN7)

105 No, I understand what you meant. Just saying that I can't point to anything that comes up to that level with Bush (though the grief Democrats continue to express over the tax cuts is delicious, and IIRC there have been a couple of choice vetos).

On the other hand, while not as bad as most RINOs, Bush's "compassionate conservatism" smells like liberalism to me. Well, I guess that's middle ground...

Posted by: Anonymous at October 08, 2008 05:46 PM (4yauu)

106 President George W. Bush is definitely a socially conservative republican. His committment to fiscal conservatism is inconsistent, but he has had to deal with two foreign and a Congress that refused his SS proposal.

Bush's main break with the GOP is on immigration. However, he is personally consistent. Bush abhors isolationism in all of it's aspects.

In recent weeks Bush has nationalized AIG and started directly lending to the banks. If the Bailout fails then I predict that Bush will go the "full monty" by nationalizing the banks much as Iceland was forced to do.

No single person or political party is responsible. This is a systemic crisis.

Then, he cancels the elections and declares himself President for Life of the new North American Union!!11!!1!!

111 Here is a 1995 article.....veeewy damaging!

http://tinyurl.com/3r2wod

About 50 activists attended the Chicago New Party membership meeting in July. The purpose of the meeting was to update members on local activities and to hear appeals for NP support from four potential political candidates. The NP is being very active in organization building and politics. There are 300 members in Chicago. In order to build an organizational and financial base the NP is sponsoring house parties. Locally it has been successful both fiscally and in building a grassroots base. Nationwide it has resulted in 1000 people committed to monthly contributions. The NP's political strategy is to support progressive candidates in elections only if they have a concrete chance to "win". This has resulted in a winning ratio of 77 of 110 elections. Candidates must be approved via a NP political committee. Once approved, candidates must sign a contract with the NP. The contract mandates that they must have a visible and active relationship with the NP.

The political entourage included Alderman Michael Chandler, William Delgado, chief of staff for State Rep Miguel del Valle, and spokespersons for State Sen. Alice Palmer, Sonya Sanchez, chief of staff for State Sen. Jesse Garcia, who is running for State Rep in Garcia's District; and Barack Obama, chief of staff for State Sen. Alice Palmer. Obama is running for Palmer's vacant seat.

116 Horde Leveling GuideThis wow power leveling guide starts at level 21, if you need wow powerleveling guides for any other powerleveling level range (from 1-21 for example) please take a look at this power leveling page. This wow power level guide is optimized for FAST leveling with a minimum of grinding sessions. wow powerlevel Quests are important, they give rewards and faction and are less boring than pure wow powerleveling grinding, BUT sometimes some quests are really a time waste and we will skip those and replace them by good wow power leveling grinding session when it is necessary. Some people say that wow power leveln grinding is always faster than questing, this is true in theory when you don't know which wow powerleveln quests to take and which to avoid, and what is the best order to do them. With this fiesta online guide, questing will be very efficient and much better than pure grinding. Follow each fiesta online instruction carefully and you will see for yourself. The last chaos quest choices and order to do them are optimal so that you run as few as possible while doing the most possible and then turning several last chaos gold quests in at the same time. This lastchaos gold guide will be very useful for both veteran and novice players. I try to keep the amount of last chaos gold information as short as possible. So even the guide itself is optimized for the minimum reading possible, to save time! Let's get started immediately then! Everything described in this lastchaos gold guide can be done solo (besides when I say otherwise). However you can follow this guide while duoing, grouping, it's not a problem, it works too.wow power levelingwow powerlevelingpowerlevelingpower levelingwow power levelwow powerlevel
